  1. That is the part I did not mention in my post, but I assumed it is given. However, the advanced CPU architecture, including increasing the number of cores is not resulting in huge increase of FPS in FC and DCS series. What we need is raw power, GHz's, of course with the latest architecture.
  2. Increase in CPU clock produces linear increase in FPS. While new processors offer more cores, threads and efficiency, it appears that it is very difficult to code application to fully utilize those features. I don't need more then four cores, but I do need more clock speed. Gimmi MHz's ...
  3. At this point, I am waiting for is a 5GHz stock sped CPU. Then I'll OC it to 6GHz ... My, and I would say, yours i7-920's are doing just fine now.
  4. He said “bullets” not the “radar director”. Bullets (projectiles) cannot be jammed after they leave cannon barrel. You know what he meant. SAM = Stealth STOP!
  5. You are not reading it right. It is a response to GG signature. As you may notice, I put this statement at the end of my text only when I respond to GG. His and my statement have their own context.
  6. +1 DCS Su-25SM would do just fine as well. :smilewink:
  7. Thanks Kenan. We appreciate your kind words about our web site. I too don't like registration but it is necessity at this time. Regards,
  8. I was not talking about the day 1. I was talking about stealth. SAM = Stealth STOP!
  9. There goes stealth ...
  10. It is just incredible that 20 tons of steel can be rotated in air in such unbelievable ways!
  11. I sure hope ED will one day gift us with Su-25SM! I got interested in Flanker series when Su-25 was introduced. Any Su-25SM cockpit pictures around?
  12. I've never said that. "SAM = Stealth STOP!" is a response to GG's sig stating the "SAM = Speed bump". Both statements are correct, when put in proper perspective.
  13. That applies to both sides GG. NATO was hiding using speed, altitude and attacking targets that are not heavily defended. NATO pilot on a discovery Channel put it very nicely, he said, "we flew "smart" ...", and he talked about speed and altitude. BTW ... :smilewink: SAM = Stealth STOP!
  14. Modern army defense will have a bunch of ARH SAM's. Not to mention decoy's. Thus HARM's would not do much good anyway, as HARM's did not do well in above mentioned conflict. What if's ... We know that NATO tried to locate the targets on the ground. That part of the war is not talked much about, but would shed new light on everything that happened there. Nevertheless, it did not work. Therefore A-10s, and other assets including those that have same or maybe better equipment then A-10C did not do much damage to ground troop's, to Yugoslavian military. Now, in the "what if ...", scenario, we could go forever with "what if's ..." which would, obviously, be speculations, and would not reflect the "what happened's ...".
  15. Каже Пера, чуо МАГНУМ преко радија! ГАСИ МИКРОТАЛАСНУ! Translation! MAGNUM radio call heard over the radio, turn the MICROWAVE oven off! There is perspective for everything. Both sides used their assets the best they could within environment. I am sure both sides will claim that their method was more effective. The fact is around a thousand of HARM's were fired, and only few hit the actual radars. That is in the environment where NATO brought around 1200 aircraft to fight about 150 Serbian, mostly old and not fit for fight. Even in that environment, with all the limitations you mentioned above, A-10's didn't do much, if any. Now let us take a scenario of a modern army with good air defenses and pretty soon you will see that A-10, even A-10C's can not do much in a modern battlefield.
  16. Thanks a lot. I appreciate that.
  17. Hmm ... I use McAfee and don't have any indication of a problem. Try a different browser, see what it does. What exactly your anti virus says, what is a potential problem? As far as "objectionable content", I can assure you that there is nothing like that on our site or forum. I am 46 years old family man, have two sons and I make sure that bad things are not part of our site and forum.
  18. Sorry for inconvenience. After repeated and malicious attacks on our web site and forum we had to take additional precautions when it comes to registration. I am not a forum administrator but will let him know you guys are experiencing problems. Problems with registering are sometime associated with your browser settings and type. Try a different browser, to see if it helps.
  19. Do you know how many HARM's NATO launched over Yugoslavia? Around a thousand. About 99% of those ended up destroying microwave ovens, decoys that are very easy to make. One HARM missile ended up flying all the way to Bulgarian capital of Sofia. That missile missed entire country of Yugoslavia and ended up in a roof of a house in suburb of Sofia! There is no question in my mind that NATO systems are sophisticated, but NATO opponent will not be sitting in the middle of the meadow with a radio beacon sending a signal "shoot me, I am here"! A-10 is a weapon system of the past. It is good against the Taliban level of opponent. There is a reason A-10's flew above 15 000 feet (and hit almost nothing) in NATO military use over Yugoslavia.
  20. A-10 is a weapons system of the past. There is no sense of investing money in its modernization any more. A-10 can only fly against very weak and poor opponent.
  21. I appreciate your comments which assures us that ED is working on a problem. This attack, this hacker, is attack primarily on Fighter Collection and ED business. I wish the attacker could be traced and brought in the court of law for breaching EULA. Nevertheless, please keep working on a problem, I will patiently wait for a proper resolution from Fighter Collection and ED.
