  1. There are more people (thus customers) in China alone then in USA and EU combined! Yes, the purchasing power of Chinese people is not at the level of USA or EU customer, but, they are catching up, fast. Then add the rest of Asia customers, and you will quickly notice that USA and EU are loosing the position of being a dominant "buyer". Chine economy is not flat by any measure. It is actually advancing two to three times the rate of USA and EU.
  2. I actually fully agree with that. MiG 23 would be the best next candidate for DCS level quality of simulation.
  3. The best thing is to have 100 aircraft carriers. That way, if 10 of them are down for maintenance, you still have 90 available to take the world over. :) What else would be the reason to have more then one carrier?
  4. I want to know if it will be to the DCS A-10 and Ka-50 level of avionics and flight model. If not, then, I am not too excited. It is still a step in right direction, but I would love to see MiG-29 to the real DCS level of simulation. And I would have no problem if the cost would be as high as $100 for a copy. But, not just a nice skin and 6DOF.
  5. :) And it uses steam catapult, which makes it worst ...
  6. Well, I thought, I was going to check it on Amazon and grab it for 100 bucks or so. Because, it is discontinued product, right? But, the price of few remaining G940 went up, to my surprise.
  7. It is available on Amazon for $669 !! See attached screenshot.
  8. Свака част момци! Одлично сте ово урадили!
  9. Is that a Su-33 or is it a Chinese copy of it?
  10. Thanks Kuky. I am not sure that's the one. Anybody else with other suggestions?
  11. I want to adjust a default vertical head position in the cab to be little lower. Which LUA file/parameter do I manipulate? I figured the "CameraViewAngleLimits" adjusts min and max view angle in the cab. But, where do I adjust vertical head position?
  12. Hmmm ... Interesting. I hope Logitech will come up with something new and better, and FFB ...
  13. I did not say, trouble free, I said prevent from crashing (and thus total loss). What about back up systems? I am suffering from fear that when I retire, my social security, therefore my pension, will not be there. So, loosing 100 000 000 million dollars, just because it is an "advanced aircraft" is not an excuse that that makes me happy. And what did analyses of the tragedies revile? The first tragedy was a political in nature, Challenger was not ready to fly, but was ordered to take off. Colombia disaster was a fatal design flaw of Space Shuttle program where the shuttle itself is located below possible falling debris. So, is this pushing an envelope, or something else?
  14. Every accident is preventable. And yes, accidents do happen. But, on a system that cost 100 million dollars, with hundreds if not thousands of engineers and scientist involved, loosing 100 million dollars system to accident is a serious failure.
  15. Because it cost 100 000 000 dollars a piece, and for that money, a systems and procedures should be in place to insure that it doesn't crash. Because development lasted for 10+ years. Because it crashed in exercise, not in combat environment. Because ...
  16. We don't need Germany and France. We have the King Dollar! As long as you will need the King Dollar to buy oil, we will be able to print money all we want. Have you heard of QE (quntitative easing). we are currently doing a QE 3, and at this point it is not limited in time ...
  17. Even more interesting fact is that our government cut taxes before/during these wars, so we borrowed the money for these wars. Thus, our debt to GDP ratio is now equal to Italian. And if we do not drasticly cut our spending (read: military), we will be in the similar situation as Greece, very soon.
  18. I know my answer will be a big disappointment for you. My answer is ... I do know that B-2 was not shot down over Yugoslavia. Now, where did you come up with idea of B-2 being hit and then repaired?
  19. You can fly B-52 with ECM that cancels radar energy and be completely invisible to radars. I use this secret technology all the time to cancel airplane noise when I travel. No matter what kind of geometry, there will be some reflection of energy. My reaction to your comment was simply a reminder how a military that was completely overwhelmed, managed to track and shoot down a stealth airplane. Stealth does not mean invisible.
  20. Exactly, what? We "need" thousands of F-35's so that we do not fail, as Germans did, in taking other people's land? You got some wrong ides my friend ...
  21. I sure do not. It was just a comment following a silly argument.
  22. Serbia, 1999, village of "Буђановци" (Budjanovci) ...
  23. Indeed, lack of Flight Path Marker (FPM) on Russian HUD's is a surprise to me as well. Flying with FPM is more accurate. Although the less cluttered the HUD the better it is.
  24. As long as there is a monopoly, there is not much one can do to affect it. Microsoft OS is installed on 95% of world PC's ... I too will stay with Win 7 for some time. However, if I could run DCS better on Linux, I would switch immediately. The problem is DCS is not one program only. It is DCS, TS, Skype, TIr, Saitek, ... and all kinds of other stuff working simultaneously to make the DCS experience happen. And by the way, the computer that runs my car, I don't really care which OS it uses.
