  1. OP, I have no advice to give you with regards to BFM. I still routinely lose at it, despite putting a little over 1000 hours into DCS over the past couple of years. However, after reading this entire thread I have one observation. You have become so tightly focused on what you believe the problem to be that you can not see anything else. Your current mindset is not receptive to learning, you are resistant and argumentative to any advice people have given you. It might be worth taking a break from DCS for a while in order to regain your perspective. This hobby of ours is amazing fun, but if it stops being fun have a break. You will never solve any problem by repeatedly basing yourself over the head with it to the point of frustration.
  2. People are talking about delays but I hadn’t realised that they had set a release date, I’ve been out of the loop due to work.
  3. It means the “U” key on your keyboard
  4. I’ve seen bumping around like that when the carrier starts turning, not sure if that’s the problem.
  5. Use full dry power in the F14B, that 90% thing is not right, you’ll take forever to get up to speed.
  6. Did you remember to activate the auto throttle? That’s all I can think of.
  7. I think what people are saying is this: The F10 route markers and waypoints only work for the AI controlled aircraft, so you can see where they are going. If you see one for yourself then it is bugging out, it will not work properly and will not advance as you pass your waypoints.
  8. I am a questionable individual, however it’s no hardship to delete unwanted skins
  9. What improvement does the AIM-7P have over the M?
  10. Obviously, however it’s hardly effort to remove them.
  11. You could just go in and delete them from your install.
  12. The skins look great, I want to say thanks to the team that put them together!
  13. Yeah but that uses latent track while scan, full TWS can support more AMRAAM’s at a time, you can fire 4 at a time in TWS, useful agains mass bomber formations.
  14. If you launch in TWS the target doesn’t get a launch warning and only receives a warning when the missile goes active
  15. Thank you!! that is absolutely insane, I wonder who was responsible for that gem of an idea
  16. This is absolutely mental, are there any pictures of this? There’s no way this would have been practical.
  17. This is very true, the whole thing is a BFM trainer. I would say just go for it, you don’t have to “fly” through it (pun intended) you don’t have to be perfect straight away and by the end you’ll be a better sim pilot for doing it, it’ll also improve your flying in the B model indirectly. So what if you have to fly a few missions a couple of times as long as you’re learning something and enjoying it, that’s the whole point in the end. I judge success by coming away and having learned something and also having fun, doesn’t even matter if I made it to the end of the mission or not, I will next time. But that’s me and we’re all different.
  18. The A has less thrust and isn’t as fuel efficient, that’s it. Unless you’re taking the flight to the merge every time it really shouldn’t make much difference at all. Fly the plane don’t fly the numbers, just enjoy it.
  19. That's... very unfortunate. That's completely game-y... DCS is a game (runs for the door)
  20. Try giving the mini stick a small deadzone, should do the trick.
  21. That’s great news, thank you!!
  22. It’s done that way so you don’t have to be heads down looking at your instruments in the merge, so you can keep eyes on the bandit aircraft, I think it’s right the way it is, for me anyway.
  23. The way I do it is if I can’t see the bandit, i treat it as if it’s on my 6 until it turns up, usually appearing between the vertical stabs just before I’m a burning wreck lol
  24. After watching this video I’m not sure you’re correct about TWS and RWS having the same missile and tracking capability.
