I haven't flow the SU-27 enough to comment. I have however flown the F-15c an awful lot, more than any of the full on modules in fact. The flight dynamics feel pretty real to me.

Yeah, there is also the concentration factor that we don't need to consider currently. We can happily fly at tree top level in a fast jet without worrying so much, if trees were solid however, that would all change and force us to watch out a little more, all adds to the immersion. That said, I don't mind if it is down on the priority list, I'm sure things will all come together soon enough once DCS World 2 is released and stable.

What makes you think we'd have to buy anything again?

An F-5 would be cool, and I doubt anybody would complain if they re-skinned it and called it a Mig 28 for the red camp ;)

Nice video, thanks for the footage Wags. Can't wait to be flying over some nicer looking terrain, I'm hoping it will greatly add to the sense of speed and immersion in general.

I'm surprised at all of the complaining about this, I think it's a great idea. Lets be honest, FC3 is great value already and has received some huge updates in the form of the F-15c and Su-27 flight models. I don't mind paying a few dollars for a decent campaign personally (Is this decent? Haven't seen anything of it) That said, I rarely fly the Flanker and am yet to really learn it properly, If they put one of these out for the F-15c I'll be all over it.

I generally hate DRM, all it does is punish those of us who actually pay for products as the pirates always find a way around. But actually, I've had no problems at all with the security ED uses, it seems fair enough. I'd hope they have a plan put aside in the unlikely event they did stop trading in future so that we can all still access our purchases.

What possible alternatives could you offer I wonder.. *Cough*Buccaneer*Jag*Cough* ;) The good news for us all is this, ED are no longer alone. We now have several third party companies that have already proven they can offer aircraft of the same standard and so we will see new aircraft more frequently. As the DCS customer base slowly builds I am sure we'll only see that list of developers grow. We'd all love an F-16, but what is the rush really? We have an F-18c and a Eurofighter Typhoon coming in the not so distant future, I mean come on, how Awesome is that!! DCS World is getting better and better all the time, what we require is a little patience. Eventually the right team will be in the right place to develop the F-16, if they aren't already behind the scenes. Until that time, lets try and enjoy the other offerings coming our way. I'm overjoyed by almost everything in development... I can't wait to fly the Tucano for instance, and that is the real joy of DCS World, soon enough there will be something for everybody.

I only had a quick flight as I've been playing with the Hawk a lot lately. But this thread makes me happy. Sound is often overlooked. You could make a perfect replication of any aircraft, if the sounds aren't up to par however it negatively effects the whole thing. I'm going to try out the SU-27 more later on.

It's one of the few things DCS wise I am not looking forward too, the 190 just hasn't hit it off with me, haven't even played it since the week I purchased it. Looking forward to everything else very much though.

Just tried this on BF4 quickly, at 2560x1440 it lowered the FPS far too much to be playable on my GTX680 sc, down to about mid 30's from 90. I'll try it on DCS later but this feature might have to wait until I get a 970.

Delays aren't necessarily a bad thing, sure many of us are impatient. But if a delay means the final product is of a higher quality then it doesn't hurt to wait a little longer than expected.

Can anybody recall if we have seen an afterburner within EDGE yet? I'm wondering if we will get nice bright/realistic flames.
