The M2000C, when put against good and alert Su27, F15 drivers, just don't stand a chance. If the Mirage goes high, he's at a disadvantage because Su27/F15 missiles out range it and will get a first shot advantage, if the M2000C goes low/mountains/notch, it may be able to draw the Su27/F15 to a knife fight, which the Su27/F15 will most probably win. So, the best way to use the Mirage right now would be surprise attacks and such or in a pinpoint ground strike role.

That video card is weak. You shouldn't have bought a laptop. For DCS, the best bang for buck is a full blown desktop.

There's one problem with this, if the Eagle pilot has burned through the ECM, then the change of direction will be known to him ;) but at ranges further out, what you say holds true.

Could anyone advise on how this inertial navigation guidance works exactly because there's a lot of bits and pieces being said about it in this thread and I'm pretty interested in how it works. My question specifically is how is the target information or co-ordinates of the target fed to the missile? Is it through GCI? Radar? or some other source?

Let's see, there are four bandits in this mission. You guys forget to use the wingman!!! Order the wingman to kill one of the bandits. You target one of the other bandits from long range. Kill him, then use a heat seeking fire-and-forget R-27ET for the third bandit, and the last one you can either use your wingman again or go guns on him. Also, you should deploy flares pre-emptively. That R-60 will never hit you if you deploy flares pre-emptively. If you fail in this mission, you really need to start practicing more.

I have both the 1.2.16 release and 1.5.1 release. Everytime I launch the release version or the open beta I get asked to activate whether I fly the Mig or not. Should I run the registry fix or is there some other solution to this?
