They do an awful lot of talking..
-
So when we get the DC-3, the pack is complete?
-
Not Packs- Just Assets. More ground units, more infantry types, more planes to shoot at, more structures to bomb, more civil units to add more dexterity and complexity to missions. This recent episode on the other forum kind of sheds light to a dark corner.. Im sure everyone has an individual opinion to wether or not the 'current pack' is for them, but how long are we going to wait until the gameplay is looked at in the grand scheme of things. I propose a monthly subscription for 'DCS Superfans'. Superfans donate a little every month on subscription 'to support' DCS (Kind of like donating to Charity). At the end of each year of donation, they recieve 'one of a kind skins/models/free upgrades/miles (take your pic)', that way the 'superfans' can give DCS the support they want, and the player base can expand into the game self supplying sales of modules, without the need of alienation towards those who wont/cant pay for the individual packs. The time for arguing about 'the asset pack is over', We need assets, and the game is dying for me because we dont have them. Heres our structures and infantry..
-
We need Structures too..

Im having a real hard time trying to pull new users into Warbirds. Does anyone have any data to what assets are coming? Is there a road map for the asset pack? Id like info on Ground Units, Boats, and Planes, and Civilian Assets. There must be data on whats coming, surely! No hear'say please..

barrel on fire for lighting during night landings

Once the ‘lighting engine’ is made in 2037, all your wildest dreams will come true. -
I’d agree it needs an expansion.
-
I like it.. Reward those who are loyal to the game, makes great business sense too. I wish I could be optimistic towards the concept.

Get into the air, bank plane, look out the window.. Youve just been trained in Recon..

When I bought my gpu on sale from amazon, the price went down a week after by a further 5% When I brought it up to customer service that it was frustrating and made me unhappy they gave me 20% off my original price. That made me feel ALOT better. The discount should work both ways- if you already have the channel, you should get more off the mosquito Preorder.
-
Its a great deal, so how do we get the extra 10% back on the map, if were about to pre purchase the Mosquito, and already have the Channel?
-
I think, if you look at this thread here You can see just how small the map is when compared to others. I dont think we'll see the map left 'as is', im sure ED are going to expand the map to the North East or South East, and we'll see a vast improvement made to the amount of airfields. Giving us a much larger scope for intense 'deep' missions. As ive previously mentioned, Ugra have set THE standard, and from now on, anything less than the quality of Syria, just wont be acceptable. Im very sure ED know this and there is no way they will allow a 3rd party to 'set the bar', thats just bad business.
-
This is a great insight. When you fly in the Channel, It actually feels that small too..

I think youre the man to make this happen.. I believe in you x

Watch out pal, the 'realism police' will start hounding you if you keep talking 'its only a game'..

I agree for Multiple reasons, Im a little bored of multiple servers, and have multiple excuses for not playing it anymore. The only way youre going to get what you are looking for is to start something and create it yourself, but its ALOT of effort. So i used to create a buzz through Discord and get players that way. Alot of us used to join up in Discord, start a private server, and play missions we had created ourselves, but after a while (with the gameplay the way it is now) you kind of just get bored of waiting for bug fixes. So you just go play another game. If you feel like something is a little stale, create your ideal mission, then invite people to play with it, take their critisicm on how to improve it, and keep making it better until its joyful. Youll either: 1 Get bored with making missions for other people and end up right back at the start. 2 Make missions for other people that get bored and then end up right back at the start. My advice is to just take what enjoyment you can from the game and focus on that. If you worry about the online population (which I agree, is definitely dropping off -fast), youll just end up having a bad time. I used to be like yourself, wanting more, so i created a load of missions for the guys i flew with, but then 2.7 kinda broke the game for us so we moved on. Ive given up even caring about the game anymore to be honest, so i end up popping here, seeing if stuffs been fixed yet, and then playing single player for a bit..

requested Proposal for VR head limits implementation

I care about VR improvements. Its a question of asking devs where we should put their resources, im suggesting we ignore this for the short term in the bigger picture. I care that when i look out the cockpit, i can see hi resolution assets. Or a wingman that can actually work and fly smart, not just a warbird with an engine that seizes, or a model that bounces around like a yoyo. You care about looking out of the cockpit (figuratively speaking).. -

Yes, annoys YOU most. Number 1 Dora fan right here. My list of annoyances are different. its okay that you don’t like the VR experience, but it’s not a big issue, in the bigger picture. -

I dont believe this is the thing that is most immersion breaking. Bugs, Low Resolution Assets, and AI is far more immersion breaking.. -
Ask the forum.. Well right now its still in Early Access, and its $40.. So more than likely when its out itll be more expensive. Well you can fly along side someone, but MP '2 in a plane' is a struggle with sync issues. Look, it seems you want the Yak, trial it for two weeks, if you like it, buy it. Its not bad, its nice. Its fun. And it has its perks.. Go with your gut. I bought it in the sale. Ive had good fun from it. But just dont expect updates, or youll be upset.

Ive never EVER seen anyone gain an advantage by sticking there head so far out of the cockpit, thats just bad piloting. The idea is to point the guns on your plane at the bad guy, not look for the bad guy with an outer cockpit experience. While this guy is performing 'in cockpit acrobatics' he'll be getting shot down, by someone more focused. If a video comes up that points out that there is an advantage (ie human on human- But there 100% wont be unless someone is purposefully flying bad to make a none existing point)- then ill consider this important. Otherwise, this isnt even worth the conversation. Its not worth even looking at.. I mean theyve not even stopped to think about trackIR'. -

If you seriously need to stick your head out of the cockpit like this guy, then theres something VERY wrong with your ability to control a machine with 6 degrees of freedom. Is this kid okay? If theres something on my 5 oclock, why wouldnt i just turn a little into it, and make life easier for myself? It makes no sense to me, to physically move your head and body so much in a plane just to 'spot something'. Can you imagine? Youre a WW2 Pilot, and you have to open your cockpit to 'have a good look' at the guy on your 5 o'clock? Just turn into him a little. Bobs your uncle. -
My main argument with the Yak is the price. Its priced plainly wrong (See Combined Arms as well). Even if the model was right and finished, it would STILL be too expensive. Its the same price as the I-16 and more expensive than the CE2. Which are considerably much better (and much different) modules. If the flight model was finished. It would STILL be priced wrong (See CE2). Learning to fly? Use the TF51, its free.. Learning to fly in formation? Use the TF51, its free.. Learning to perform aerobatics? Use the TF51, its free.. Save the $40.. Why should anyone buy the Yak? Because its so simple, fun, slow and pretty much useless, it puts itself into its own class of amazement. A friend of mine takes part in Citroen 2CV Racing at Oulton Park, I dont get why anyone would want to do that when Production GTI class is but a little more, But when im in the Yak- I kind of do- 'a little'.. Theres something about being in no rush to fly, no pressures to 'deliver payloads' in enemy territory, no need to worry about long drawn out over complicated missions. The yak touches on this pleasantly. The Yak, is flying. No BS, No worry, No nonsense- flying.. And every moment in the yak is like flying with the birds. Thats what you pay for. And why its still too much for the module.. The problems that rise from the module arent all really that bad, were missing quite a bit, but theyre all there in the TF51 and its free, so why would anyone really buy the Yak? The two week trial allows everyone to 'try it', and honestly- two weeks is all you need, before you get a bit bored of it. Trialling the Yak, is enough to know it shouldnt be bought for anything less than $15 when not in a sale.. So now it will never really sell or get looked at it, its just going to sit there and waste away, which is only a shame but for only those whom are fans of DCS and have paid for it. If the Price was more than halved, Id strongly change my mind towards recommending it to people even in its state now, then in sales at something like $7.50- its pretty much a no brainer, a 'must buy' purchase. But while its sat up at $40 and being not looked at and not selling, all thats happening is that the people who have already bought it, are getting more and more angry while it gets ignored, even at $20 its a little too much when finished.. Then we'll have bugs with every update, so we know the time frame now will be echoed with those fixes. Once a year, me and a few people have an hour in the aerobatics server flying in formation, but honestly- theres not much more to do than that, you cant really perform a loop with out first gaining speed from a dive, and without the damage model, its just a powered non damaging glider- albeit not a good one either. While the FA18 is the all mighty foundation and flagship of DCS, the Yak is the bit that comes out the other end. And a warning to most, to what happens to modules that arent profitable. They should probably delete it, or lower the price considerably. Because right now its a middle finger to those that put faith into DCS and went into buying it. I still love the Yak (I even made a campaign for it too), but while DCS arent in love with it anymore, there isnt much point to having it in their list of modules and theres definitely no point in them selling it for the price they have it marked up at, I cant help feel Its daylight robbery.
