Please add a static Wake Island. By this, i mean- make it an 'easter egg', put it there but dont allow anyone to spawn at it (make it off the ME and F10 map so players cant start from the ground there). That way, the only way to reach it (and land there) is by setting up a tanker, and having to refuel in air. It gives those that cant refuel in the air something to work towards, and those that can the feeling of achievement for doing what not many other have done. It could be the 'Hutton Orbital' of DCS?

It works fine, all the quality skins were whee they should of been then me and the squad Watched the ranks last night, it seems there is a single user downvoting everyone else’s skins just so that he remains on top of the ratings page. In the space of one night he’s hit the ‘big name’ skins with that many down votes that Mike Busil’s competition winning P47 skin WarChief went from the bottom of page 1 all the way to page 22.. He’s downvoted it so much it’s gone from 5 stars to 4.5. Utterly pedantic show going on. Now the ‘top rated’ stuffs all screwed up. -

Thats a little mysterious. This morning this skin was rated quite highly (near number 1 in the skins rating). But now its on page 6. Someone appears to have dedicated alot of time to down vote it into oblivion.. EDIT: It seams theres someone else manipulating the votes.. For why- Ive no idea.. -
I see, Well its a shame one of us is a little short on humour.. A good day to you too sir..

winter update still on track? (yak-52 candlelit vigil)
StevanJ replied to twistking's topic in DCS: Yak-52
Id love to see the module made free, and purchasers given 'miles'- Initially, i had zero interest in this module, until i jokingly flew it in the free to play a couple of years ago. Since then- Ive gone on to fly it with adoration. I think the trouble is.. If he says anything on here- wether its positive or not, he will be held accountable, and the wolves that walk among this forum- will go on to use his words against him. So in this instance, until ED decide to do anything, he cant actually say anything or give us information to help us. Its for the people with power at the top and the people who make the decisions, to decide wether or not they can push resources our way. We just have to put up with no news, and accept 'this is the norm' on modules that arent profitable. And if we arent happy, maybe we just keep the threads alive, and garner more interest for the module. Which is ironic, considering its not getting the attention it deserves from the devs. This only really affects us, and the people that have bought the module, so maybe we either ask for a refund if we arent happy with the progress, or we just accept that this is the fate of unpopular modules? What would you have happen given everything we know so far? -

This, Please guys, since 2.7 i must have had about an hour in a Warbird.. Its a catastrophe for the VR players like myself. I was primarily a Warbird Player, and the changes that havent been fixed have made the game suffer substantially. This is the first time in as long as i can remember im not playing the game on a regular basis. Everyone i used to play with in VR have literally flown 'to the other game'. Issues still present: No Binds for Oculus touch controllers (now have to press spacebar to use trigger in a warbird/any helicopter) Laser points at a different direction to the hands (You can see how very poor it is here in this 'promo' video) No Validation on modules to which modules actually have touch control support, meaning ive two choices- I buy the module and dont use it, or i dont buy the module because it is supported and i dont know. No validation towards 3rd party modules and their stance towards the VR controllers.

We DESPERATELY need more assets in general. Civil, Military, Training, and naval are hugely lacking with the current new helicopters taking stage. Its great bringing out new maps- im grateful for them, But if we cant build missions to support the location, were eventually going to get a little bored.

Thank you. Ive set it to unlisted..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvFqy4XzAJY Its been a while since ive played the game, as 2.7 wasnt performing very well for me. However, During a recent bout of online play over the weekend (Track too Large), Im noticing now Syria is 'out of early access', if the Server has very few scattered clouds, that Shadows are heavily rendered anyway- at distance, Which is making the Map, look Awful at high Altitude in VR..

Are we any closer to getting the binds back soon ?

[FUTURE IMPLEMENTATION] VR Stick, Throttle and Nozzle Position Lever

Any closer to a 'due date for this module? -
So i just downloaded and played CFrags DustBlower, When you see whats near the top in the Ratings charts for the Huey, And you compare it with your mission, I think the ratings are fair. And to delete missions because you arent happy with the ratings youre getting, when even your missions will help the newer players, i think it just seems a little petty. Someone somewhere will be loving your missions, So keep them uploaded- one 'share' to a forum and you may get a higher rating or even feedback- Having spent some time building missions, I think it wouldnt be fair to rate your mission as highly as something like these. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/type-is-single/unit-is-uh-1h/sort-is-rating/user-is-ElementLT/apply/ Your mission isnt bad, but its not very addictive, or fluid, or thought out. For new players- i think they'd enjoy it, but for the seasoned players like myself- we honestly expect alot more. Its not good enough for 5 stars, but with a few changes, it could be.. honestly. Fly to blue, land. Use comms to select another landing zone. Comms says we have to fly over the runway to get a landing zone. Fly to runway, get an LZ, repeat. Its repetitive. And a little boring after the first two landings. Theres nothing to this mission to keep me entertained for longer than five minutes. It needs story, and continuing landing zones. Not Fly to blue, then fly to green to get a blue. Fly to Blue- Then to another Blue- Then to another Blue ETC Then give me a Score based upon my landings, pace, time, quality of landing etc. Score = 5/10 Go faster to get a 6/10. Land more carefully and youll get a 7/10 etc. 10/10 is Max Score I chose hard landings because you say 'the LZ is what you would expect in real-life extraction missions', but my first 'Hard LZ' was on a 45 degree incline (made it then lost a skid), 15 yards from a level LZ in between two buildings which was just as hard, and when i imagine which LZ they'd use in a 'real life extraction mission', I doubt it would be the incline. The ratings.. What does it mean? Where is my rating in the ranks? Whats top/bottom? How do i know if ive done good? My stats- What do they mean? Total score 6353 (avg 1270)? I dont understand. Its not clear enough. After playing for 10 minutes, i dont think id be playing it again. Things i liked. The scoring system, this was great- and if this was used effectively, youd be onto a winner. But the mission pace works against the scoring system. So im not motivated to play it again, because i want the landings not the 'fly to runway'. What id like to see improved. Rankings- I wanna see where i am in the rankings, not told im a 'fixed-wing pilot' with no reference of how good or bad that is. Story- If ive got to go back to the starting position, there'd better be good reason for it, instead of 'just to get a new LZ'. Scoring- Tell me how to improve my score, give me consecutive landings, on real life examples of LZ's not on a 45 degree incline above an empty car park. Sounds- Hated the robot woman, after twice communicating with her, i was irritated enough to be motivated to end the game. Lose the comms menu after each landing. I dont want to have to talk to anyone- if im practicing landings, than thats what i should be doing, i should only have to use the comms to change my next task, not select a task. Landing should be automatically setup one after another. I hope you dont take any of this any other way than as constructive, but i think if you put a little bit more time into this, it could turn around within a few weeks. Dont take my review too harshly, with a little direction, youll get there.. I hope this is the feedback youre after..

reported Path Finding Broken (2.7) (track attached)
StevanJ replied to key_stroked's topic in Bugs and Problems
Issue still exists in Multiplayer.. -
Why did i make this mission? Well another user requested it, so i made it. You can take off from any roads, but it was easier when i removed the objects. Im struggling to understand the issue? Sorry

Really? Where?

correct as is F18 can land anywhere easily.
StevanJ replied to Vampiresquid's topic in Bugs and Problems
Sorry, thats not what i meant. Im agreed that the aircraft are the way they are, i still dont think that an F-16 should be able to take off from grass, I only meant to create a reference for users, so that others can pick the correct airframe, for the job in hand if they land on this page. I still dont think this is a bug, However if you feel aircraft should be able to take off from grass, maybe look towards going into the aircrafts subforum and adding it to a wishlist? -
Cheers Fox, ive tried to find information with regards to where the 262's were based, all leads pointed to Germany places like Lechfeld Air Base. I just assumed, no one would want an air start?, My mistake. Apologies to all..

Hey, do you fancy making a table to see which aircraft can do what on which map?
