  1. Agreed. I basically stopped any kind of PvP flying because of this. Missiles are broken, wonky and inconsidtent all the time. Should have stayed on the old API across the board, at least those worked.
  2. Mission was set to 08AM local. And it pretty much looks like that at all times. The A is waaaay too white, while the B low viz. liveries are completely fine in the same conditions. This, the stock pilots and mis-matched missile rails seem just very rushed to me and not up to par with the B.
  3. It is though. The aircraft need to be in the same group, just the way DCS works.
  4. Yeah I'd like HB to re-test the current drag and FM in the current build and see what they think. Something just doesn't seem right anymore.
  5. It's not a gamma thing though. Turning down gamma also makes the internal lights and especially the AOA indexer unreadable. All other modules are fine no matter tha gamma value and this is just silly at this point. HB need to do a lot of bugfixing the coming months...
  6. And even the 'cat is getting more and more bugs and taking a long time to fix the most basic stuff (if even). The Viper in it's current state is more than fine for Air To Air and general A2G. Obviously some more advanced stuff is still missing as well as an in-cockpit pilot body but those aren't critical features.

  8. It's highly WIP based on the new API. Based on ED's pace it'll be fixed by 2022. ;)
  9. Bug fixing, improvements to the pilot model and PBR as well as a sound rework.
  10. It just sucks that in an air combat simulator you arent able to use most missiles for about a year now... they are always bent in one way or another, which is getting quite annoying.
  11. I tried everything and could not reproduce this. 1.6 Mach level at like 38k feet, 2.4+ in a dive etc. A friend of mine said it has something to do with the TIT spiking out of limits in certain conditions.
  12. Oh yeah I know, I've not flown a A Tomcat in real so my only reference is the B cat in DCS and other modules, which I've gotten pretty used to. I do trust HB with this but just wanted to make sure that there isn't some bug or undesired effect they missed because right now even breaking Mach 1 for a missile launch seems rather difficult. Even completely clean it seems to struggle to go fast as per the charted values.
  13. All good points made by everyone here with the major issues addessed. For me personally the biggest "issues" are more on the visual side in terms of liveries being too white, having generic pilots and mis-matches missile rails. Hopefully all this and the various typos and base system functionalities in the cockpit get fixes sooner rather than later. Keep it up. :thumbup:
  14. The yaw string was an integral part of all Tomcats IRL and never removed. Just go look at close-up pictures online and you'll see it. It's a nice touch HB added and a great detail.
  15. At least the A seems very draggy to me, any jet in DCS currently out-performs it in speed and accel.
  16. Also, the sidewinder missile racks look super dark and out of place compared to ther rest of the plane. This just seems very rushed for me.
  17. I thought the AIM7 was done? It was in a fine state already. They have been doing it for a year now...
  18. Please also adjust the current VF-154 and 211 ones as they are waay too bright/white for a late era low-viz 14A. Especially the underside.
  19. Yep, been reported since day one of release, along with various other "lapses" which are easy to fix like the untextured TCS and mis-aligned bump-map on the engine necelle which is still present on the A. One day I gues.
  20. Actually, not the electrical external power, just the ground air supply. Why would it affect the bleeds though? I will try once more though with no ext. AC power.
  21. Yup, needs to be set in the ME, then you agree on a freq. and set the correct addresses.
  22. That question is kind of weird. STT is a hard lock while TWS still only scans (nails vs spike).
