  4. Since we went to the new server box, we haven't had any server crashes so that may just be local things happening on your end. The FARPs are located where they are for balance reasons. Sometimes there are more, sometimes there are less. It just depends where the frontline is. When RED is pushed back super far, you should spawn at FARP_30.   5. After 27 days, Blue has won Campaign #5. This was the longest campaign we have ever had in the history of the server. The forward airfields in the center map changed hands three times and Blue was down to two sectors on two different occasions. This campaign was also the first one where we had a breakthrough and blue was able to capture three sectors in a two hour span. Thank you for everyone for making this campaign such a memorable one. The dev team is working very hard on some systemic changes that will be adding some new mechanics, we will be pushing live during this campaign.
  6. The IL-2 Server Combat Box Discord uses a ticketing system that is discord based for the admins to jump into things. It works really well.
  7. My understanding is that adding wake turbulence would reduce server load and cause lag. As we are one of the largest DCS servers in terms of players, we have to cut out some things that may cause lag like turbulence. This is addressed in the server's FAQ. There is no way for us to regulate what version of the mod people have installed unless we build our own server-based integrity check. If you do not have it installed then you see a su-27 which makes it confusing. We would need ED to make some official mod support in order for us to be able to add it on and to have fences around it to insure a pleasurable experience for players.
  8. Too modern to add for now. We are working on fleshing out the server and its mechanics. When we are done, we can entertain these discussions. As of right now we are working on the existing pipeline.
  9. It is intended. Thank you for the idea. I am glad you are discovering the cold war modules and that you are enjoying the server. The Cold War era is where DCS really shines IMO and I am happy to hear of another convert.
  10. Bomber pilots do give CSAR pilots. The pilot must reach the ground then they are transformed into a CSAR soldier. The radio beacons get funky if you are flying low, if you fly higher they will work properly (or should at least). In the interim, we added a csar menu in F10 radio menu to help you find people. Do you know which farp this was?

  12. We never ran into that problem of it hanging between mission resets. The only thing that happened is when changes were made to the settings in LOTATC they applied at mission reset. So not sure what your issue may be, then again we do not change maps and only rotate between two missions (summer and winter) so maybe there is an issue with it changing entire maps (ie Syria to PG). There are some settings where you have to enable some maps within LOTATC. Not sure. The owner of LotATC has a discord and is very active and easy to reach to, he may be able to help more. I would love to help more but LOTATC is brand new for our server as well and our system admin is in europe on vacation so we are sort of not fumbling around with it anymore until he gets back.
  13. Alpenwolf if you need help with lotatc let us know. We stubbed our toe on it a few times when we installed it. The refresh rate seems to have a direct correlation with server performance. I would imagine for your server you would want the refresh rate lower so it is more realistic so you may not run into this problem, it defaults to 4s. When we took it down to 2s it seemed to start to lag things a bit more. Some of the realism settings require a miz reset and do not get applied immediately. WE were going crazy trying to figure out why things weren't applying so hopefully that helps.

  16. The f10 self view is there to make it more accessible for users. We understand that most people are coming to cold war for the very first time and are used to flying planes that have more advanced navigation systems. So we were lowering the barrier of entry. We will potentially remove them in the future but want to give users time to play cold war for the first time without getting lost.
