Kneebord Export for all DCS modules - I need your suggestions
ralfidude replied to PeterP's topic in DCS Modding
I wouldnt mind the map being on the seat itself since we have no actual legs. Easy enough to use the zoom key to look at it in detail, and it won't obstruct anything else. -
We don't have any dates in mind just yet. Linebacker is out getting interviewed by the Air Force right now, so as soon as he comes back and let's me know just how badly DCS got it wrong from reality, we will talk about dates. Lol, hes sending me text msgs telling me how he's looking at missiles from back in the late 80's in comparison to what we have today, telling me we are getting jipped. hahahaha.

That was one of my buddies Mustang. He was telling me how he was right up against an A-10. He then made it his duty to go and kill A-10s as revenge. While I made it mine to go in the Frog and kill the Hawk and Patriot, which I did. But it got so damn dark when I hit the ocean, I couldn't tell what was what, at 10 meters off the sea floor. After I shot down the patriot down, I went in after the AWACs. Had to resort to only use the RWR in pitch black. When I got close enough, I just put my AA mode on and kept moving the nose around till I got a ping. All 4 missiles missed a non manouvering target from behind.... ran out of fuel, ejected, alt-f4d

A new one is already made. I just gotta upload it. Tomorrow morning.

Military and Aviation News Thread (NO DISCUSSION)

Linebacker had the pleasure of doing 9 G's in the back of an F-16. Said it was seriously no fun doing it with the goddamn helmet mounted sights adding a few pounds on your neck. I fully agree. -
WIP DCS A-10C and Teamspeak 3 Integration
ralfidude replied to Headspace's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Headspace, scratch that. We had a pilot error. Somebody was running on the short bus and we all thought it was us, when in fact it was him... My God it was horrible. All of us have just chugged a bottle of painkillers each. Still waiting on the Euphoria feeling... -
WIP DCS A-10C and Teamspeak 3 Integration
ralfidude replied to Headspace's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Yeah. headspace, yer gonna need to give us a hand with this at some point. We change frequencies and people can still hear us, it's the oddest thing... -
The training session was a huge success, minus the few fails, though honestly speaking we expected far worse results. Thank you Maverick for letting us use your teamspeak and for your cooperation. Should be smoother sailing in the future. Cheers! As per the questions we asked the folks who attended, we have a grasp of what you would like to do next. All subject to change, but our next session will be to practice how to do ILS landings properly, in extremely poor visibility. We will of course teach you how to do ILS in good conditions first, then train for the bad. On a later day we can also go over A-10 advanced systems. How to customize your plane for your liking, as well as how to do certain things in the CDU and the DSMS, including troubleshooting. We might also touch upon combat manouvers, such as finding enemy threats that a lot of people seem to have an issue with. Most common question asked is "How do I find the enemy?" Though the answer is a difficult one, we can at least try to help you with that a bit. In anycase, the next training even will be held at a later time we will post on this section of the forums. If you have any suggestions as to what else you would like to see, then please post it on here. Follow us on twitch.tv under our usernames, and you can also follow me on a special twitter account I made to keep everyone in the loop of what's going on with us @ralfidude. See you all next time!

Military and Aviation News Thread (NO DISCUSSION)
ralfidude replied to topol-m's topic in Military and Aviation
G's are something else... When I felt it during Air Combat USA I had the exact same reaction to it. Pulling 2 Gs is not the same as pulling 2 Gs in a commercial airplane as a passanger of a 747. It really is surprising. Then when I was hitting about 3-4 I asked how many we did expecitng hte answer to be somewhere beyond 5-6, my instructor just turned to me and said "nah... that was just 3. something..." I did the look of shame. But hitting 5-6, ohhh boyy. That's an elephant sitting on your body. Slightly disorienting. But still ok. The worst was trying to look left and behind me on those high G turns... Neck really friggin hurt after about 15 of those, but you don't even start to hit tunnel vision on those low G's. At least I didn't, I know Linebacker didn't either. -
I swear someone posted a chart with weight information and I compared what 6 D vs 2 Ks was, and the difference (as per that persons "official looking" chart) was immense. Pardon the bad info then.
-
You really can't be serious 100% of the time while playing DCS. I have started a new playlist for my videos, this series entitled "For Sh*ts and Giggles" Enjoy:
-
Apologies to the 104th. We got permission now to host this training mission and have people on their Teamspeak.
-
must have been a glitch or bug. They kill. Or it missed by inches. Mavs have a 70-80% chance of hitting in real life, in the Sim its more like 99%. PS: K is the biggest warhead. If you have 6 AGM-65Ds they would weigh LESS than only 2 AGM-65Ks

Thrustmaster Hotas A-10C key assignment question
ralfidude replied to jjohnson241's topic in Controller Profiles and Problems
no there has to be a center boat switch. The only way to make force correlate work is to rock the boat switch through center. It doesnt work if you go white and black hot. -
You haven't read this thread through at all have you...
-
Well, actually... What we have found was that the X52 logitechs throttles are not as sensitive/accurate as they appear. A lot of people are having issues with keeping up to speed with someone or a tanker no matter how little movement you use. Line put in a tiny bit of a curve on his, and it basically made tanking 10x easier. So yeah...
-
So I just watched an A-10 HUD video of a strafe at 80 degrees and 450 knots. Am I missing something or shouldn't the engines have died of overspeed? (link )
-
My God, don't mention that sortie... 100% loss rate...
-
Be advised, that we will spend some time before the flight, modifying your joystick sensitivity curve, as well as your throttle. Formation flying without that on shitty joysticks will be darn near impossible, and risky at best.
-
a10s are easy to do this in as they trim easy. Trim in FC3 is overkill and screws with flight, so personally I think a10, however we can split the groups into a10s and f15s. Il discuss the details with line and see what we come up with.
