I mean a lot of us here have watched the real gun run HUD tape of an A-10 power diving for a gun run at 80 degrees and 460kts and he was just fine... so....
-
You need not go to that extreme, but yes... that would do wonders for a long future to come.

I would like to know as well. I have noticed that the G indicator in steep dives is close to 0, but the boost fuel pumps should be able to handle that for a good 10 seconds or so. It's something else. This happens at variable speeds, I have been able to get both engines out at 360 kts, and I have also been able to keep them ON past 420 kts. So it's something else.

The only thing I can say is that the CPU might be an FPS issue for you since it's running only 3.1 Ghz or what not? DCS is NOT GPU intensive, so that graphics card will do very little for you. Though in all other games it will do amazingly well. This is from someone who has a GTX 690 and has seen absolutely 0 % improvement from a GTX 580, and basically same from when I upgraded to that 580 from a GT lower series. I DID however find an increase in FPS due to my CPU. Most prominently would be when I can overclock using my motherboards program without restarting. I can start my game and run in by default with my i7 3770K running something like 3.9 GHz, and I get a certain frame rate, then I over clock it right then to about 4.4Ghz and I get an immediate 10 FPS jump. Though you might be rolling your eyes at only a 10 FPS jump, it means very much for people who run this game at only 20 FPS right now. Certain places you get more certain places get unplayable, even for me. The worst I have ever seen it is running DCS A-10C with both MFDs on in TGP and Maverick and the server has FOG on. FPS drops to unplayable rates, well below 20 FPS. This is due to the game running on an old ass engine that runs this game on a single core of the CPU. The reality is that it runs it on two. One core focuses on sound (which makes no sense), while the other handles everything else. So, when someone drops a CBU, basically everyone feels it no matter where they are on the map. I am not saying this to discourage you from the game. By all means do get it, but it's more of a FYI to perhaps think of getting a better CPU with a higher base frequency sooooomeewhheeree down the line. Other than that it looks like a fine machine. Have fun!

F-18 grip, WARTHOG compatible

EDIT: Just watched a start up of an F-15, now I know what you mean by fingerlifts. They are just a click in the simulator. There is absolutely no need to spend money on a completely same throttle just to get something you can click with your mouse in game. That is what I call a waste of money and resources. What I wouldn't mind is if the throttle was made of some stronger material and the cursor was actually how it should be, and not the little bitty stick that's there... It's shameful that thrustmaster would do that. After all the hard work they put into that beautiful stick. -
You're wrong Donglr IF you are referring to SAMs. Jammers work-ish on air targets though at a distance, till you burn through it. I have tested it out. ED testers have CONFIRMED this with me. Jammers DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN DCS AS OF RIGHT NOW against every single SAM in DCS, short/medium/long. They are a paper weight and a waste of precious ammo space on your A-10. Jammes (currently) DO NOT let you: -Get closer to the SAM -Avoid lock for longer from SAM -Shorten firing range of SAM -Break lock of incoming missile from SAM HOWEVER!!!! Flying "Below" radar DOES get you closer to a medium to long range SAM. I have been able to get VERY close to a SA-10 range, and attack ships with long range defense missiles by flying BELOW 30 meters. Though in reality you have to be below 20 meters in the game. 14-17 meters is a successful height. Any higher than that and there are no guarantees at all.

I would love to have the intake and nozzle sounds for the F-15. Absolutely NO GAME EVER has done that (to my knowledge), and it is LOUD!!! In this video hear the nozzle, at 1:30 In this video, hear the intake at 0:44 seconds in

0_o ? Bradley has spaced laminate armor: 30 mm AP and RPG all around protection explosive reactive armor. M2 has: Spaced laminate armor. RPG and 30 mm APDS all around protection (with armor upgrades). Hull base is Aluminum 7017 Explosive Reactive Armor. M3 has: Steel, 5083 and 7039 aluminum

Yup, this goes for the Frogfoot as well, they are useless right now, except if you want to jam air targets, then yes, but against SAMs, no.
-
Ok so we have ED to blame for that one.

Why are there models in there that are not part of flaming cliffs 3? It's severely misleading. Don't get me wrong, it's a great video, but it's unfair for new people who think they are getting all of that in fc3 only to have their hearts broken to find out they can't operate any of those DCS modules. But like I said, it's a nice video, just a tad bit misleading.
-
Well this is how they are doing it; And this is how we see that you guys do it; Then again, I haven't just yet taken fluid mechanics so I can't help them with the equations, but so far what they have found out through pure simple physics and mathematics, and a little information fact finding is rather astonishing compared to what is presented in the game thus far. So we are hoping that once they get their numbers sorted out right and get the missiles to behave as they should, you will consider it based on what's presented.
-
My friend is doing some testing. So right now they are faster, but still not quite hitting Mach 4, should be 2,646 knots around, but varying on altitude, only doing 2060 knots right now. In any case, they aren't as useless as they were before. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=105038
-
Are the ERs supposed to be faster than 120s?
-
We're going to be testing the AA missiles to see if it's any better now. Hope the Aim-120 can reach Mach 4 as intended now.

Flying a bit of the BlackShark 2 after a few years of not flying. Ignore the blur effect, won't be doing it anymore.

F-18 grip, WARTHOG compatible
ralfidude replied to hegykc's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This better be put in a sticky in the F-18 section because as a thrustmaster owner this is interesting. But only if it would be possible to get it done out of metal or aluminum. If you are also interested in doing this for the F-15 version, it would be the BEST POSSIBLE USE for the thrustmaster warthog as the throttle is already from the F-15 anyway, and you would only need to change the joystick. Either way, a very nice job here. -
Look up the SU-25T Frogfoot SEAD loadout, watch the training mission for it, and you will understand.

Check the bottom of your ADI. If the ball on the bottom is anywhere but the center then there is your answer. The A-10 is not flying straight ahead due to wind or your inputs. HOWEVER, if that's not the case, then perhaps Track IR? And you are not looking at it straight?
