Jester does ask for the type of lineup, but does not give the remark about gen 2 anymore. After that, he keeps the INS system in StBy and is not switching it to Align. John

Oke, Problem solved, And the problem was me ..Sorry . I use Vaicom Pro, and when i started DCS without Vaicom i got English speech again. Gues what...in the Vaicom preference tab,I had "Force Speech", "Force CallSigns" and "Force ATC Names" all set to Russian. DON'T ASK ME WHY ! Thanks for your input, I'm gonna be quiet for a while.
-
Thanks Flappie Track was Russian, ....commensing with the full clensing. Call you back.
-
I did and it's Blue. Further more, other missions i had saved with differend Modules, F18, spitFire P47 etc. all also switched to russian ATC and Groundcrew.(Full blown Invasion ) I don't no exactly when the change happend because i spend last flights with Campaigning (F4 mig Killers) where i did not have to use ATC. I'M thinking about a full clean istall..
-
Da, Priom. Did a repair before griping. I'll check the mods. Thanks

Was starting op the Phantom. ATC, and groundcrew language is suddenly changed from english to russian, without known reason When switching modules or/and scenery the radio remains Russian. Anybody with the same problem, and hopefully, a solution.? Thanks

I know it is already reported, (a looong time ago !), But i would like to fly the Chinook in a realistic way, one day! At least the Airspeed must function as it should in my opinion. At the moment, the airspeed indicator measures all kind of stuff, but the Airspeed, for what it is installed, is not measured correctly. When on the ground with a 50 Kts headwind, the indicator reads Zero. When in Hover, nose in the wind (50Kts), it also reads Zero. Aircraft is Grounded for me until fixed by Maintanance Crew But seriously, hope it will be fixed Thanks, John

I realy like the experience of this campaign. The way it is build and guides you trough the adventure is perfect. The voiceovers are great and sound very realistic. Also a very good way of learning to fly the F4. The effect of rudder input (without Aileron ), at higher AoA's amazes me. I also am getting more and more respect for the Airframe of the F4 because of the way it was flown in combat...Jeezs ! And for ther PIlots ofcourse !! A great Campaign and a great use of this beautifull F4 module from HeatBlur. So, Many thanks to Reflected ..Great Work ! John

Was flying The Apache, wanted to make a walk arround after Flight . The bouncing motion during walking in VR, is realy making me dizzy, and unfit to Fly for the next Sortie. Is thera a way to reduce this motion ? ,,Maybe via a LUA edit or so, Thanks . John

After engine shutdown when parked, Hydraulic pressure falls, but does not go to zero. Even wit full movement of Aileron, Elevator and Rudder it does not Fall to zero and the controll surfaces remain movable. Greetz

reported earlier Airspeed, groundspeed or Total speed ?
P3CFE replied to P3CFE's topic in Bugs and Problems
Definately something wrong here ! IAS should read 50 kts when parked on the Tarmac, because of the headwind of 50 Kts....It reads Zero !. If I go in hover with nose into the wind, IAS is stil zero. If i turn tail into the wind, and keep the hover (hell of a Job by the way )..IAS Still Zero ! IF i Climb in the hover IAS go's up. If i stop the Climb IAS again Zero IF i Descent IAS Go's Up Again. So it looks like the IAS is giving absolute speed in relation with a fixed point in space. I can imagine this gives a problem with calculating ETA Etc. Hope this helps. 50 Kts headwind.miz -
Is it just me, or is the "Airspeed Indicator" reading an other kind of speed ?. In a Hover with a headwind it seems to read arround Zero Knots. And it also looks like, a Climb and descend rate is influencing the Indicated Airspeed.

NoseWheel nut should be stationairy all the time..or you would have a real problem irl. Thanks.

Again, i don't think it takes a lot of processing power to let the eyes from the mirror look back at one location ( the head of the pilot) all the time. No eye tracking necessary! But maybe i'm wrong, im not a programmer. I'll leave it to that, it is just an idea. Regards.
-
Yepp, that is what i ment. @hornblower793, You can try it out yourself. Look in a mirror, Hide your fear, and dare to look in your mirrored eyes. You will see exactly where youre eyes are directed at (i hope). Then .. stare at the top of your head ..don't cheat. And, when looking at the top of youre head, try to make out where your eyes in the mirror are pointed at.. I found it surprising how little whe can see sharply, without moving our eyes. Pheriferal vision is very sensitive for moving things, that draws our attention en then whe can verry fast turn our eyes to sweep the area and gat a sharp picture in our head.
-
I hear you but, as you said, If you look at your hair in the mirror you are not looking at your eyes, so you won't see the position of your eyes at that moment. I agree..Only if you look exactly straight in your eyes in the mirror, you can see the postion of your.. eyes. The FOV of real human eye is very..very small, whe only see sharp in a very small area at a time, so whe have to sweep our "Scan" constantly to get the big picture. So..in VR the eyes could allways be pointing at you..(you won,t notice that), until you look directly into the "scary" eyes of your avatar in the mirror. If i would look in the mirror into my own eyes IRL, and they would look somewhere els,..whell... THEN I WOULD BE SCARED for sure !!
-
I know dose solutions..and it doesn't really bother me. Its just not realistic to see a first person avatar reflection not looking back. If it was more realistic and you are bothered by "the stare". ..you can drop the visor... Just joking... for that last part.., i can live with visor down. Buuuttt, if it is not a big problem to fix the eyes ..I would find that great
-
I think there is no eye tracking input neccesary. The eyes in the mirror just allways look at youreself. Even if you are not looking in the mirror. (then you are not seeing it ). So the mirror would be a fixed reference point for the eye direction. Then for you it would be realistic. For somebody looking with you, it would look wrong. ..but in VR that is no factor. But again ..no Reason to ask for a refund
-
I know it is a bit to much to ask, but if the eye direction in the mirror would be realistic, the reflection would be scary real i think . I mean..If you look in a mirror, your eyes wil allways look straight back at you. I can imagine that it wil be difficult to program the eye view direction so that it stays directed towards the viewer while the head is turning, but it would be great in my opinion. Again, maybe to much to ask for... but hey..Heatblur started it ! Regards..

The starting view height in relation with the crew body is to low. If i look to the side i am to low between my shoulders. It can be corrected with the cockpit cam position, but it is a bit unnatural to have to install a neck every time before flight Thanks.

Oke I think i may have found a solution for the problem. In "Varjo Base" i had only OpenXr Activated in the 'Compatibility" section when i had the problem of DCS crashing when i took af the headset. When i also activated OpenVR the problem was gone,So:.. with both OpenXr and Open VR Activated i can take off the headset and even restart it while in DCS and continue the flight Hope you can solve this in the same way. Greetz
-
Yep..same irritating problem here at the moment. I tried to fool the headset by putting a cloth in it when i'm not wearing it, that seems to work.... partially. DCS doesn't crash if i do that but, sometimes..not allways.. i loose the functions of the buttons on the headset, and i'm not sure if eye tracking is working than. worth a try...maybe ?

VIAF 2023 - Heatblur F-4 Phantom II Surprise Airshow Demo
P3CFE replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
A very original way of promoting the aircraft with the professional commentary, enjoyed it very much I Want to give my compliments to the Pilot flying the Phantom in the demo. Really good control of the aircraft during the whole show in my opinion. It shows that he's got a very good feeling for the F4 he's flying. It was a Joy to watch If I got the Phantom delivered i'm going to practice until i can do the same, Ik know Its gonna be hard but fun -
Thanks..then i know i can stop figuring out the saving option....in a way!

Hello, I realy did search a lot before starting this topic, but found no working answer. I want the headposition of the pilot higher and more taft, i do that by changing the cockpit camera position. Until now, i can not save the position bij RAlt +Num 0. Am i doing something wrong or is it broken in a way. Hope someone has a working solution for this. Thank you
