Exhaust Smoke not Following Airstream When there is a crosswind, and flying without sideslip, exhaust smoke is very wrongfully leaving the engine in an angle. I don't know anything about programming ..and why it is this hard to correct or even give a reply on this. It is mentioned several time during the years. I love this sim.. and so much is perfectly simulated ..a peace of Art in my opinion Buttttt !! the smoke behavior is completely wrong !! Even gives me a doubt about the rest of the Aerodynamic calculations in the game..Sorry !. Please Dev.'s ..Reply on this. It is such a shame !! The picture, is me flying the beautiful Harrier.. Note: It is the same with every other Module ! I am flying without side slip. So the air is streaming from nose to tail in a straight line, (please agree on this !!)…. So why is the smoke not following the flow of Air ??. Thanks for any reply..already. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=214133&d=1563804447 Smoke angle.trk

Thanks for the answer bkthunder.. I did place this bugreport in DCS World 2.5, but someone moved the thread to Razbam AV-8B N/A. I know it is not an module related issue , but a fault in DCS..!! Somehow I can not get this gripe under the attention of the right person... Thanks..

VMU A10c not working with vaicom Hello, VMU in A10c is not working when using Voice attack with Vaicompro plugin. I can see the subtitels, but hear no Sound.. If I start DCS without Voice Attack, Bitching Betty is loud and clear. Does anybody have the same problem ? Thanks already Problem is solved with Latest Update. Thanks Hollywood !!

Small stuff for this incredible detailed module..i know :music_whistling: But the Angle of attack probe is not moving, by wind on the ground, or during flight. It remains faired all the time. This has happend before, ..was fixed... ,and now the bug it is Back. Just notifying my remarks. Hope it wil be fixed tomorrow...:smartass: Regards, John

Just to check if i'm doing something wrong here. 1- Is it normal that RIO audio is sometimes on headset and sometimes on speakers ? 2- What is the way to let Jester set radio freq. in the rear. ? Thanks for the help already ! found out how to set Freq.. I have to get myself to RTFM :)
-
hello, you all.. Dit get my AIRIO today...Great addon again.. Noticed that Jester is not on headset, like ATC and Ground Crew, but on speakers. Is this a setting I've missed ? Regards John, Sorry .. had to switch on ICS ….works like a charm... cool stuff...Happy Happy !! Well ..jumped to conclusions here...still not Okay :( Strange thing if I Tell jester "startup" his replay is over speakers...if I ask him to close or open the canopy it is over the headset .. Any body ..got the same ?
-
Well, that narrows it down a bit. Tested that one out en got the same as your squad members. It is clearly a bug then  Hope it will get solved, because I like realism and want the radio on the headset. Thanks for your information.

Thanks for the Quick and clear reply. My headphone was set at 54 %. changed it to 100.....No Joy. :( The response of groundcrew was, and is load and clear. it is just ATC and Tanker. Dit not try out Jtac yet..but the "No Audio" issue seems to act on Radio's. I know it is related with Vaicom, because if I turn Vaicom off.. I got all the Audio. Very puzzled about this...But thanks for the Help Mate :)

The Turn Rate needle (Below the stby attitude indicator) in the F18 is not working anymore. That is...During flight it is frozen in the center position during heading changes. Note: If you look at it closely during taxi, there is a slight movement of the needle in the correct direction. It looks like the amount of deflection is programmed to be to little !! As always...hope it can be fixed !! Greetzz

How to get a reply from the Devs DCS on wind issues? Is there an efficient way to get an answer, or any other reaction from the devs od DCS, about the problem of wind and smoke behaviour. For a flightsimulator it seems to me, that reaction and effects from airflow and wind are very important to be correct. It should be the first thing to be corrected if it is faulty, yet there is no reply of any kind about this. Show me the way please :( !!
-
This is normal if you have Wind. The HUD shows you that you are drifting to the left by wind comming from the right. It shows you in what direction you are realy going. If you want ..you can get the hud symbols centered by caging the hud. But if you do this ..the Hud velocity symbol wil point straight forward, even while you are drifting., so it wil not point to where you are realy going. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys for thinking with me. Checked for double bindings ..not the case. But i discovered the problem :D I was experiencing the rudder problem during traing flight...."Take Off Solo". I just made a TakeOff in a mission i made.. and..:joystick: Like a Charm...no rudder interference what so ever,...every mistake was my own..:D So the bad behaviour of the rudder is linked with training flights.. Still something that should be fixed i think ..but with lower priority.. Thanks again.
-
Oke "JCOM". You had me convinced..but now i see that the behaviour of the rudder is deffinatly not correct ! During TO when i give a steady rudder input..the rudder starts oscilating. this makes the tail wobble from left to right several times. It is almost impossible to steady the rudder out because if i give an input the rudder seems to counteract.. i'am fighting the artifical input and that can not be good. Something is definately wrong here. Can you try a takeOFF and look at the rudder behaviour (when you give a steady input) please. You must agree..that is not OK !! Hope it can be fixed..
-
Thanks, thats it.. Well ...this is the first time i noticed this movement. I bit strange to see the legs of the pilot move while i dont give any rudder input. But i agree that it is the only way to simulate the forces on the rudder without Force Feedback. Sorry for reporting this as a Bug …its a clearly a feature...Well done Dev's. !
-
During TakeOff with TO assistance and Autorudder turned off. The rudderpedals are moving to the right when adding power ..and release right rudder when reducing power automatically. If i give an input myself en release.. the pedals stabelize by giving inputs left and right. So it seems that autorudder or a kind of stabelizing is active and cant be turned off. Hope it wil be fixed, i want to fly this Mustang solo. thanks allready

Hello, i know this is not new, and i thought it was corrected...but..it is back ! With wind.. during flight, the exhaust trails are influenced by the direction of wind. The smoke leaves the engine in an angle with the longitudinal axis. This is not correct when the aircraft is not side slipping. The exhaust gases should leave the engines parralel to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. With no sideslip, (Slip Ball centered) air is flowing from nose to tail in a straight line when there is no side slip condition. So, smoke and gasses should follow the same path...hope you agree ! It was especially visible with a C130 during high wind conditions above cloud layer. Contrails seem to be acting correct...but have not really checked yet. A Fix would make this outstanding Simulator even more realistic ! Thanks allready

The F5 had great wingflex effect. but it is gone now. Hope it will be Fixed.

Good Find, Mine was also enabled, Any idea if this has an affect on Frame rate or so ?

Great seat feel on the Harrier Really great Job on the feel of the Harrier at the moment. It all feels natural and spectacular !! Thanks for the work on this. Regards

Great ..Thanks Carss, i was close , but tried to place the files into the Mod folder instead of the Core Mod folder. I'll try to remember this time . The plane looks great !! Thanks again

Skins look really great !! But I have no clue on how and where to install them. I probably missed it somewhere in the forum, but ..can someone give me instructions please ? Thanks already.

1) During Taxiing the slipball jumps and sticks to the sides of the glass, even though there are no actual g forces present. 2) The slipball is presented over (in front of) the turn rate needle (graphical issue). Hope it will be fixed Regards John
