  1. 1: Spangdahlem is flat in game but I can tell you from working the line there that it is the most uneven, sloped flightline I’ve ever seen. It got so bad in the winter that jets would avoid sections of the ramp to prevent going into the grass. The topography is completely off for the Rhineland. Also unrelated, I can’t even put A10’s in the HAS’s that belonged to the 81st at Spangdahlem unless I make them ground starts on the hard stand in front of the shelter. 2: OK so here's the FACTS... (taken from Jepperson) Frankfurt (EDDF) - I'll take the centre. 07C (then 07L) - 328ft / 25C (then 25R) - 363ft ------- Leipzig Halle (EDDP) 08L - 418ft / 26R - 448ft 08R - 428ft / 26L - 470ft ---- Berlin Brandenburg EDDB (others like Tempelhof no longer operational) 06L - 141ft / 24R - 153ft 06R - 152ft / 24L -149ft So Berlin is relatively flat - airport centre height of 156ft, so just 15ft top to bottom. Others slightly more varied (that I looked at). This is more than enough height data & differential to produce visual undulations. The Egypt map is my favourite for realistic looking vertical differences along a runway. [ Answers from my Reddit post for the same topic]
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, seems the airfields in Germany map is generally flat, from many screenshots can see the airfields are super flat and like a straight rectangles. I know the 90% of the time we're in the air but different terrain bumping can bring the special landing\takeoff experience, just like Ugra them selves did very good on the Syria map the İncirlik air base. And ED's Guam, they have non flat runways that's a sign of they care about Terrain experience.

  4. as you may see , the runway has a slope, the opposite side should be masked how ever you can see it through, but the aircraft in that slope was masked like it should. Log and trk attached, thx for looking into it GTTXTE.trk dcs.log
  5. heli's rotor would wave upwards a little bit when spinning, however the OH58's looks really flat from the video

  7. My game Stuttering every 20ish seconds, and when launching missiles and explodes, in 2.8 it never happened like this. I have i7-10700 ,32GB RAM,NVIDIA 3070 8GVRAM, game on SSD. Loving DCS hope this can be heal soon. @Flappie Thank you and Hi Flappie, saw you been tracking some similar issues, hope this won't bother you. Performance monitor like: Screenshot\log\track attached. HEAVY STUTTER.trk dcs.log dcs_frame.log The performance had a big issue at the end of the Trk. If the AI play their things correctly. I got shot down by the end and all the explosions and cracking~ I can see dozens of peaks on the FPS monitor window, even when I'm Over G blacked out.
  8. thank you BIGNEWY, does it require a restart? cuz I turned the SSS off in flight, but the shadows didn't change. I'll try more, if any log of files can help you guys track it down, plz let me know. A big thank you to ED team. hi razor, I turned that off inflight but nothing changed.   16. I can go all the way from F1 to F5 in realtime game, but couldn’t switch to any POV in replay, I got lock in the pov of my actual game
  17. thx, it's a good POV video, and if using the landing route with final turns it would be better right? and oof seems the pilot got a "hard ass" after that land in the vid XD alright, I guess I need to pull that handle to "lift up" that seat
  18. just curious, seems the horizon is almost at the bottom of the hud when almost touchdown, then how about on the glideslope ? Where there the runway would be smaller.
  19. Been spending years gaming in Persian gulf and Syria, while Persian is overall FLAT, Syria is fun with canyons, then hows the Sinai? Is it a "Flat" terrain as well?
