  5. I really don't see any advantage to have two separate DCS installation and folders, entries,... instead of two separate .exe with common/shared resources.

  9. It's actually possible IMO. The devs who create dll for AFM are generally not the same as the devs who create, tune and bench graphic engine for instance, and those are not the graphists who model the artwork of the aircraft. So, parallel development is theoretically possible, isn't it? For example, you personally are occupied with the design/texture/... of the mig-21bis art (among other aircraft I 'd guess) but AFM dll is for an other person, isn't it? But I'm OK with you that some improvement are to be done in the code of DCS itself. EDGE is to come, dynamic campaign is a far dream and the 'gameplay', or what happen during missions is up to the missions designers. Normal, is sulerly coding as hell thinking "I've said Sept 1st; what have I done, OMG, OMG, NO rest for the team until we have something to share for Sept 1st!!!"

  22. Correct, we should pay for the efforts of the team. I was trying to dig infos in the russian forum (thanks googletrad :) ) but had no clue.
  23. Not sure. Let think about it: When the Nevada project began and was to be integrated, it was along with the current engine. So, A-10c pre-purchaser might have it for free and other would have to pay. I don't remember if EDGE was already projected. BUT now, it's coming along with a new rendering engine, that will come for free. An engine without map to draw is a non-sense, so it should come with... a terrain: Nevada (free for all, this time). But guess the further terrain created by ED or other 3rd parties would be paid add-on, as module.

It has been stated that the plan is still for the Nevada map to be free for users who pre-ordered DCS: A-10C Warthog beta. EDIT: Needed time to carve this (Post dated 01-22-2011): BUT at that time, I don't remember they were already talking about EDGE... So everything is subject to change ;) Exactly the same here :)
