Question: What is the difference between 'basic aircraft licence' (Sptifire, bf-109 & P-47) and 'advanced aircraft licence' ? Is that that the 'basics' are not flyable or is that they are flyable but Simple FM vs Advanced FM?

Beczl started his project as a mod for FC2. And then, after the 3rd party grant, he started to complete the Mig-21bis as a DCS standard stand-alone module so it's from there that the indiegogo campaign started. So, he already has some material to show. Here, it sounds like it's very different. The kickstarter has begun at the very beginning of the project. It's written that the launch of this KS at the very beginning is up to ensure the development process not to be delayed.

As explained many times, ED relies on the available sources of information to get the best realistic sim. Unfortunately, it seems that the russian government is not in the willing to share these info. Don't forget that ED is based in Russia. If they use material that may be under the seal of secrecy, they may go to jail. From now on, they managed to be contracted with governments during the process of their development (at least with the A-10C; maybe with the BS too but I wouldn't bet)
