New video - DCS World Tv Commercial
Cedaway replied to Glowing_Amraam's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Charlie version, most certainly AI piloted ;) EDIT: By the way, maybe 2014 would be the 'hornet's year'... From an Oooold thread (May 2013) "In the meantime, the F/A-18C Hornet is still planned but we want it to be at the same level as our A-10C. Because of this, development will take much longer compared to the Eagle and Flanker projects to be released this year." SOURCE And, Augustus 2013 "Honestly, I would not expect any new on Hornet until this time next year at the earliest." SOURCE Sorry for the off topic... -
New video - DCS World Tv Commercial

I find the second one more engaging. The first voiceover is a bit 'hesitant' and 'text-readed'. -
Dev Update: "...today we’ve been joking about working at Igloo Dynamics...." Can't imagine how they are coding the future of DCS World... ;)

I have the same style of image as you. I don't find it abnormal. When the sun is bright in you front quadrant, it's quite bad contrasted but when the sun is at your 6, don't you find the HUD more readable? EDIT: Maybe can you find answers how to tweak HUD colors by yourself in this thread...

New Fire and smoke for DCS 1.2.6.
Cedaway replied to Foxbeard's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Tested and approved  No perf hit on my rig. Thanks Foxbeard, great job. -
Can you provide a screenshot, a description of your PC configuration, what GPU, what GPU settings (in Catalyst (AMD) / Forceware settings (NVidia)); your In game settings? That could be more helpful for us to... help you.

Wags talks about the project maybe because he's the Producer and P.R. to say of ED and maybe the best qualified in ED to share his knowledge. I think you went too far too soon in conclusion...

Yes! it's planned that EDGE would have drops on the canopy, but not in the short time schedule: The question: (Googletrad: And what about the weather? Will be displayed raindrops on the lamp? Snow? The answer: Googletrad: Drops on the glass for a long time in terms of Source EDIT: on the same thread, it's confirmed that EDGE will be released this year (as it was previously announced).

From Wikipedia: "To meet combat requirements, the MQ-9 tailors its capabilities using mission kits of various combinations of weapons and sensors payloads. The Raytheon AN/AAS-52 multi-spectral targeting sensor suite includes a color/monochrome daylight TV, infrared, and image-intensified TV with laser rangefinder/target designator to designate targets for laser guided munitions." The designator is the AN/AAS-52 beneath the nose...

Avast just warned me and blocked the .exe until I put it in exception list. The update ran flawlessly then. At start up, I had to do the same thing for the dll protect-files.

I'm not speculating and don't want to but this read... ... Confuse me  . Almazi, what were you talking about? I don't know how to understand what you wrote. Are you sorry because you worked faster than planned or because there is any change in planning, are you now devoted to another 'challenge'?... So much opening for confusion and... speculation. Would you please clarify? Thanks in advance.

...Updates to 1.2.7 go through the intermediate version 1.2.6.99999.3... :megalol: Excellent work anyway. Thank you ED Team

Soon to be released I presume? :music_whistling: Thanks in advance  Just a question to ED/Wags: Will my current FC3 install would also receive the updates and features that DCS:FC3 will provide? (No more LOMAC installation prior FC3, 6DOF pits,...) or do I have to purchase a new key? Also, during the 'transition' time between FC3 and DCS:FC3, I find it will be a bit confusing to distinguish the versions since they have very similar names (I rejoin Zaelu on this one). Don't you think it could be more 'slick' to use the name DCS:FC instead? It's also a continuity to use the name format you use for the independent modules (A-10a : DCS Flaming Cliffs; F-15c : DCS Flaming Cliffs;...) => just DCS Flaming Cliffs (so the bundle of all the FC level flyable aircraft)?

Be kind and find her a sister... As EDGE will support Crossfire/SLI :smilewink: EDIT, I read your sig after. That's a laptop, isn't it? So, you'll have to be a good teacher with her!

+1 Discussion should remain on the facts and not assumptions. All we can do now, as the problem is 'team internal', is to show the team all our support and hope they go through.

If a dev would mix up, there is a thread already opened in the Chit-chat section: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=119412

You know when it's time to take a break from DCS A10-C when..
Cedaway replied to HAVOC131's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
When a colleague comes back from a business trip in Africa and offers you a souvenir of a warthog wooden statuette (the animal, not the aircraft, of course...) -
It's back!! And it's called BOMB. Here is the Steam Greenlight Page (I feel like I'm 15 again... :bounce: )

If I'm well with trigo, considering the human eye has a resolution overture of 0.017°, considering that the screen would be placed at 5cm of the eye, the 'ideal' resolution would be 3175x1786 on a screen that would be 5.08 cm large (2inches) by 2.8576 cm of height. So, 4K (3840 x 2160) would be largely enough for our eyes at 5cm distance. ... ... ... Again, if I'm well with math... ... ...

Such software adds complexity in an already very complicated program. As said before by ED team, the program should be entirely re-written from scratch with multi-thread/core in mind. EDGE is one step beyond, supporting the multi-threaded rendering engine. I found also a discussion saying the following: Source
