5 Deadzone, 25 curve. No curve is far too twitchy for me! Removing the centre detent is not ideal for fixed wing as leaning your feet on the pedals can result in undesired input, and therefore a crabbing aircraft!

At this point in time I've not seen anything that offers the level of precision that you'd require for this task unfortunately. I'm sure that when the Rift and it's equivalents move to consumer release then this kind of technology will follow. It's a shame that there is such a disconnect between visuals and the physical world when it comes to VR!

Not seen any solutions that were feasible beyond the stages of "Having a go". Leap motion isn't nearly accurate enough to work for the level of detail DCS requires. If you want to get physical then your options are hardware controllers or a touch display with Helios/other software.

No need for this to turn into a pointless debate guys. No one asked for opinions of OSX as a gaming platform, and honestly I doubt they're interested. No way of playing DCS natively on OS X - As mentioned above, look into Bootcamp for your friend. It's already built into the machine under the Applications/Utilities directory. You need a copy of Windows to install on the partition it creates. DCS is very system intensive however - Ensure your friends machine will be up to the task. A lot of the higher spec machines (27" iMacs, Mac Pro, 15" MBP) should be fine.

Using any form of extension you're really going to want it centre mounted. I would suggest you lower the base a little. You should be able to rest your wrist lightly on your leg. Personally I think 10-12cm offers the best balance of spring force/accuracy.

For those interested - I decided to make the switch from 100 to 120, and I'm extremely satisfied. The change isn't huge, but I truly feel a level of immersion like I've never felt before. The sheer accuracy over control you get is amazing. Flying formation is far easier! Thanks again Wasyl00 - Great product, great guy!

Had the same thing on 03L at Nellis AFB. After a goaround I just used less input for my final flare and the jet plopped down nicely. I'm guessing it's just an increased ground effect providing a thicker cushion of air in that final 50-100ft of descent.

Hey all - I'm looking for somebody who can describe/show me the real sounds that the A-10C radios and KY58 make for the following events: Autopilot ON PTT release for Tx and Rx KY-58 goes ON Secure PTT release for Tx and Rx I'm working on some replacement sounds for a radio mod and would like to use real sounds. I've used Aries and UR but I don't know what's 'real' as such.

You can remove it yes. But as mentioned above - The Black Sea terrain is not currently working in 2.0.

They also feature on Ricardo's 'Horse of War' texture upgrade. It could be that you had that mod installed previously.

Hey all - Having a little trouble getting Helios to dim my panel LED's when using a Phidgets 1032. At present they're correctly working in that when I turn up the dial on my lighting panel, they come on, but they don't fade in. When the potentiometer is at about 5% of it's range, they just pop on at full brightness. Any advice on what I need to do to get them properly scaling?

Not really an issue relevant to the forum, since these signatures are a feature of a third party app. What do you want done about it exactly? Nobody here can influence it.

Wasy, how much of a difference would you say I'd feel from changing up from a 100 to a 120? As I said in my brief review, my only regret was not getting a bigger one! After flying for a few months with it I'm feeling like I'd like the 120 even more now. Just wondering how worthwhile it'd be for me to drop another £40!

When holding short of 09 at Senaki-Kolkhi the runway sign is labelled as 'F'. It is infact Taxiway 'A' at the 09 EOR. The direction signs are correct (For example, turning left from 'B' you are signposted onto 'A', but when you arrive at the runway it is labelled 'F'. Not a huge issue but a little misleading when making traffic calls.

You can define like 10 or something in the Joy.cpl once you've installed the drivers. Should be absolutely fine to set up 3 or 4.
