  1. I'd just make do with it to be honest. The effort to swap it (And the lost flight hours :P) doesn't seem worth it.
  2. Can't wait either! Honestly without a Helios profile, I feel like I only have half a module! My cockpit is built around Helios so unless I have a profile for an aircraft, it's like everything missing! I know you're up to your eyeballs in work with your current projects, but are there plans for a MiG-21bis?
  3. Did you check Outside Air Temperature on the CDU POS page? What altitude were you at? A clear sky isn't necessarily a warm one.
  4. Couldn't have said it better myself!
  5. His flight stick is significantly longer than on a computer flight stick. More hand input, but the same degree of motion at the gimbal. Some sticks (TM Warthog) can be extended, which gives the same degree of accuracy. Something I highly suggest people who want more accurate input explore.
  6. To stop the hood from popping up over 200kts. :P
  7. Probably because it costs another $85 :P Seriously though looks like a great solution - I volunteer you to buy one and try it out!
  8. For those of you using USB 3.0 ports, have you installed your Motherboards USB 3.0 drivers? Potentially a solution if you haven't already done so.
  9. Voice Attack works extremely well. I use it for some of the things you can do very quickly in real life by feel, but require going heads down to scan for a button in the sim. "TACAN Yardstick" "TACAN Ground" "NIMSIP (NMSP) TACAN" "NIMSIP ILS" That kind of thing. If you're that way inclined, you can use it for more comples macros too; "FENCE IN" Lights go off, Master Arm, Gun/PAC, Laser Arm and CMSP all set automatically. Not my personal thing but handy if you want convenience.
  10. I have an LG 34UC97, works amazingly with DCS. Max settings at 3440x1440 with a GTX980, i5 2500k and 8gb memory is well over 60fps in most situations.
  11. You need to use the Saitek software to configure profiles with the modes AFAIK.
  12. I'd say if it works it's pretty great. It's nothing to do with keybindings. If the app isn't running as admin, keypresses don't make it to TS.
  13. One of my sqn mates had this tonight in 2.0. Quitting TS and running it as Admin solved the issue.
  14. Unbelievable. Amazing work as always cap! Please do an A-10C! Loz' profile is great, but yours just look so amazing.
  15. Easymonitorconfigurator has a checkbox that enables this - It's just a line of code in the lua file.
  16. I believe apps like simshaker take their data directly from the physics engine don't they? Vibrations/buffeting etc are exported and converted into sound data, then sent to the determined output. That's how most of those kind of applications work (Simvibe etc) - So I can only assume this one is the same. The problem with audio splitting is that it's done at an engine level. No way that I'm aware of for third parties to mod that feature in. I may be wrong of course, but I've seen it asked enough that it would surely have been done by now.
  17. Yep - Answers my question perfectly. Looks like I need to sit the seat a little more upright. Right now I'm a little too reclined and it results in too much reaching forward for the throttles. Thanks again.
  18. This looks like exactly what I need as a reference. I'm at work right now so I can't watch the vid but from skimming through it, it looks very useful. Thanks so much DM.
  19. Sorry for the delayed response! I'll take a look at my angles tonight. I also wonder if you knew the height difference from seat base to console top. I got the fore/aft measured as best I could from the limited resources I had at the time. I'll post some photos soon.
  20. Deadman please could you get a rough angle of the seat back? I built my sim as best I could using the limited references I have access to, and extended flights leave me with sharp pain across the top of my shoulders and neck.
  21. Absolutely fantastic session. I learned so much, and he couldn't have been a more accommodating and friendly guy. Thanks to Olie and everybody who facilitated.
  22. The CDU does actually have a PREV button, just to the right of the FPM button. It will do exactly that.
  23. Sorry if I missed the post - What time will the session be? Edit: 3PM PST.
  24. I have no idea - I'd be very surprised if it did. With the customer reception I've seen I can't imagine anybody would have taken the time to implement it. You'd probably be better looking for mouse emulation which could in turn work in sim.
  25. Wow, I would bite your arm off for that A-10C right console.
