You're not alone. I'm struggling on getting the F-4 to land with correct AOA, too. It definitely behaves differently from, say, the Tomcat. I mean, I do get the Phantom onto the runway. But it's not pretty.

I had the opportunity to take a closer look at a Eurofighter/Typhoon cockpit at an airshow a couple of years ago. According to the pilot the A/C had been about 5 years old at that time. Cockpit looked pretty beat up, lots of paint chipping around certain areas. When I asked about it he told me it wasn't only the flying time that's taking a toll on the surfaces but all the hours of maintenance, repairs, checks, etc...

The F/A-18 will most probably be released right when I quit the office tomorrow afternoon euro time. Aaaaaand thursday is a holiday in this part of Germany. And I took Friday off. So, life is good! ;)

Have you double-checked that you're actually running the latest beta release (1.5.8...) and not the stable release (1.5.7...) branch?

The mod is just additional objects, so yes you have to place them yourself.

+1 Even in the current, early access status the Harrier is a fantastic module. I'm also very much impressed by how quickly Razbam fixes stuff, like the FPS problems in the Cockpit. Great job!

TM Warthog here, no problems whatsoever. Just bound the throttle cutoff function to the throttle (right lever), works like a charm.

Same performance problem: I get 50-60 FPS in the A-10C (or any other AC) in a custom cold start mission, ~20 FPS with the Harrier.

I've been playing flightsims since the days of Gunship on the C-64. And while I enjoy all DCS modules I really have to say that the Viggen has quickly become one of my favourite aircraft in DCS. Not only does it come with an absolutely stunning 3d model and cockpit, it's also an extremely fun module to fly and fight in. If I look at all the details and features I can't help but feeling a deep respect and a sense of gratitude towards the developers. So, thank you very much for this amazing aircraft! :thumbup:

Replays are totally useless in 1.5.6. I haven't seen a single one that plays correctly. :(
