resolved Collective actuator always in ALT Mode?
comcat replied to comcat's topic in Bugs and Problems
@Raptor9@BIGNEWY@NineLine Hello ED. I really try to be patient here, but all I am asking for is a little "we are working on this." or "you are out to lunch, this is is how it is, deal with it." I know what I am talking about and the issue is soooo annoying, for a module that was hyped so hi. I am crashing into trees because SAS is having control over the Collective. It's broken. please, please please. at least say we are all on summer vacay or we are not doing anything about it. appreciated. -

resolved Collective actuator always in ALT Mode?
comcat replied to comcat's topic in Bugs and Problems
It's almost not flyable close to the ground now because of this.... I feel like I am not in control anymore and since i have to reset the SAS so much it messes with all axes. -
reported I am not getting the supercarrier comms...at all.

HI I have the suspicion that since the update that introduced the ALT hold mode, the Collective actuator is constantly fighting to keep the alt, even ALT hold mode was NEVER engaged. anybody else seeing this? I watch the controls indicators and the green line on the collective is always way off...even if i re center, it goes off again to hold altidude. so if i pull the nose up to fly NOE/ contour, the SAS drops the collective... is that correct? collective SAS .trk

You mean my Frames per second? they go between 40 to 60 fps. nothing crazy ( unfortunately). should the transfer work at any setting on the CDU? -

@BIGNEWY I have the module, I have since my last post -uninstalled the module and re-downloaded it, and made a repair of DCS. I am looking for some comms that I have heard other players are getting in MP on the same freq , like a "goodbye call" from mother after launch. I have also red on reddit about it, other than that, not much to be found I have attached a file from a standard mission supercarrier launch caucasus. any idea is much appreciated. I'm just curious as to why i dont have it, hope I am not chasing a ghost. carrier launch comms.trk -

it was on Hoggit GAW from Theo R. Carrier CV71(?) and another player clearly was receiving different calls, on approach and take off, I heard them but didn't get the same comms. -

Hi I just noticed on MP servers that other players get special calls from carrier after take off and so on. I have never gotten these comms, although i have the module, same freq and everything. I only get the old, normal calls on approach....can anybody point me in the right direction? do they need to be activated? cheers -
I must correct myself to previous statement, i have tried a very gentle curve in control sensitivity and i like it. 15 curve is what i have

My experience ( real world helo pilot): I have a X-56 Throttle and stick combo. do not use the twist grip for pedals! Do not use the trim for pedals. In setting/special ah64/ set pedal trim to pedals without trim and FFB. my stick with soft spring , the trim is instant. On my throttle I have rotary knobs, one of them is the rudder axis - and yes constant adjustment is required, like IRL, but trimming is much easier. Curves: cyclic, no curves, saturation Y at 75. rudder (on rot knob) NO curve. Collective, set to slider saturation Y 80. Trim: is so important, i have mine set to pinky switch and you trim, trim, trim ,trim, but everytime you trim you have to neutralise the stick ( i have a soft spring in it) It's practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, Flying: fly it like a schoolbus, like a tank. the rest will follow. take your time, slow down early, flat approaches, not vertical above your spot. check your trim indicator frequently!! be ahead of your aircraft, if you want OGE ( out of ground effect hover) you need to bring in your power early, you need between 80 and 95% tq depending on wind and weight. weight: dont bring fuel you dont need: i always go with 70% max. slow down, trim, trim the rudder always. the SCAS ( little green plus on you controls indicator)is what is messing with you if you fly out of pedal trim. your pedals need adjustment all the time for speed, TQ and wind. again slow down, flat departure, flat approaches...fly it like a truck. on the high speed cyclic pushover issue: its a low G maneuver, that causes the disc to become unloaded>no torque>the tailrotor is pushing it sideways and causing a roll. feel free to ask with specific problems, we can get you mastering this thing.

fixed internally Engine no.2 does not spool up and shuts down
comcat replied to cgjimeneza's topic in Bugs and Problems
I thought i had the same issue, but then it sometimes happened sometimes not. what I found: - if you have rotor brake engaged, engine 2 does not go above 52 NG disengage rotor brake BEFORE you start engine 1 - I think ( inconclusive) that you also mess up the start on engine 2 if you go to outside view during start of Engine 1...but thats just a thing i thought i noticed.... definitely something fishy and hard to reproduce there -
fixed internally night downwash on sand illuminated
comcat replied to comcat's topic in Bugs and Problems
there you go, I hope this helps. Thank you for the best module.... Downwash illuminated.trk -
When operating at night from lets say an invisible FARP, the downwash/ brown out/ dust cloud seems illuminated and glowing. it was pitch dark. no light sources to illuminate the dust. see attached picture,
