  1. Working. Quite fast work there.
  2. DCS team is aware and working on a fix. Thanks for @BIGNEWY for info
  3. Not just open Beta. Also stable version affected. @BIGNEWY Check this out old chap.
  4. Yes same problem. Website works fine. Changed password, does not help. @BIGNEWY
  5. I just don't tell the wife... Better that way.
  6. Very interested as well. I only fly on VR. Having asked for my parts guy for a 4090, I have no clue when they might get these, but when its in use, I will be sure to tell how it compares with 3090.
  7. Thanks. I tried to find if it was reported, but you got it. Thanks.
  8. North Africa, Malta, Italy. Yeah for WW2 it be great, but also lots of cold war events took place over Libya and the Mediterranean.
  9. Some of the cockpit labels are so small and unclear, probably realistic worn cockpit as in real life, but these are in many cases totally unreadable. Especially switches on the armament panel and annunciator light text are really bad. With the annunciator panel text in individual lights are not readable when using VR, a HP Reverb G2. While I understand and appreciate the realism, this should certainly be improved. I do not know all lights by heart yet, so applying appropriate non-normal procedure becomes a bit of a lottery. HUD symbology is also poorly readable, even when looking right at it, i.e., the sweet spot of the VR display. These are not issues with the other modules I have, all of them that is.
  10. When viewing the left mirror directly, turning head towards it, it freezes, but when looking straight ahead, works. No issue with the right mirror.
  11. I have gotten pretty good at restarting a stalled engine… Dead-stick landing works well if you stick with the numbers and profiles. Not many complaints, none really as it is WIP. On VR some switch labels are nearly unreadable, same with annunciator lights, but I am sure these items will be worked on. I am off IRL flying until the end of the month so I have had plenty of time to play with this model.
  12. Here's a screenshot from F1 manual.
  13. Seems to work fine. However the combination of aerodynamic braking and drag chute is a tid bit harder as the nose comes down with the deployment.
  14. Set attitude as you wish and trim control forces away. repeat. Turn, climb. Just basics. That said, in a standard rate turn with aircraft trimmed to level flight, there should be no need for trim. I'd check your control axis tuning. Mine are pretty close to the real thing. Mind you I have yet to use the pitch trim in flight on the real thing. It is so light on controls.
  15. I still agree with the Baltic map. It has been a hot spot of activity since and during WW2, during cold war… Viggen and Mig-21. Later with BAP mission for F-16’s etc. Likely to get warmer here with Finland and Sweden having serious NATO aspirations. A-10’s. Well we have a bunch here. Some flew over my house yesterday just outside Tallinn, low and fast.
  16. I just plugged the Virpil collective in, windows set it up and it worked without any other inputs required but some adjustment with control axis. I do not have experience with the other peripherals. However I have a Warthog HOTAS throttle and stick also plugged in.
  17. Pretty much. Hence I went back to PC and windows products. Granted oo have an iPad/iPhone etc, but for sims and VR it’s PC.
  18. Same. I always figured VR would be a niche for real hardcore geeks etc. But here I am flying exclusively on VR, if not flying IRL. If Apple is good, it will sell. Again it depends on integration etc.
  19. Brilliant. A Nav-hand. Need to talk to Garmin about the concept...
  20. I could not agree more. One could say that VR is in its infancy. My rather uneducated prediction is that VR tech will go the same way as mobile phones did, virtual explosion of new tech and capabilities.
  21. I’m returning some of the help I got here and searching on the net for VR stuff. Happy I could be of assistance. now the 3090 is a beast. I’m sitting at about 80% load on FPSvr program but for a few small spikes. Just getting these things to run smooth with DCS and or any other sim, well that’s a challenge. It’s been a real learning curve and I found myself learning by trial an error. Both my own and those of others before me. i am thinking the problem is reverb and DCS both. It is a really good headset, but I’m sure there will be better in the future. My wishlist is relatively short. I’m hoping for better VR optimization from software developers and easier and simpler set up process with automatic detection of settings as well as some common standard.
  22. Yeah. I had one of those. She wanted a Louis Vuitton handbag. Well it ended up as no bag, no hag kind of way.
  23. Still have the same laptop for travel use. However at home I do VR on a desktop.
  24. Oh they heat up. You need to be sure you have adequate cooling. No dust and all components should be tip top, pastes and all. If in doubt about how good your fan is, recommend something like KLIM Wind Laptop Cooling Pad to give additional cooling. I have something like that. Dropped GPU and CPU temps by about 6-9c. Lucky me. I can open window to get -17c air into the room. I’ve got a plan to add an extra duct from the incoming air duct to below where my hot kit is located, but let’s c. Opening the window drops temps immediately by a good 15c. i don’t think seeing 85-90c is unusual on a GPU running a long session with DCS on a laptop, but with cooling it went don’t to high 70’s. i do keep a close eye on the temps when I’m flying the laptop with VR. I don’t think it’s doing any good for the laptop in the long run to be up to sauna temperatures, but there it is
