Good day all, I suffer from a DCS crash when the F-8 is in combat as an AI unit. It only happens at the merge and when they a dumping flares. I have a feeling the counter measures may be causing the crash but I cannot confirm it. Can anyone else do a quick check to see if it’s only on my end? Apologies for hijacking the thread, not sure where else to post.

Well I tried with the description file, I can get the names to appear in game but that actual skin doesn’t. While I was messing around I noticed the B-52 has bort numbers so I’m hoping this really is just a very early beta of the S-3. ED would be mad to make it impossible to skin.

Somebody on discord got skins working for the B-52 so it should be possible for the S-3 too as long as it has the correct description file. The quality issue persists however. Some are saying it’s to do with LODs. Hopefully the new assets are just a trial run and the full version will come when the S-3 tanker comes.

They are in a folder called HeavyMetalCore. But they seem rather low res and also the layout for the S-3 seems like a pain to work with.

For your consideration, an AI tanker version of the Super Etendard. Like you made with the Rafael mod. I think it would be amazing for late Cold War missions!

A friendly person on discord managed to name all the ships in the Cruise book image so it seems mission complete. Thank you all for your help and input.

@Urbi Is there any chance you could work your magic on the Knox class frigate and Kidd class destroyer. I tried myself but I’m not used to this style of skins with everything separate. I’d happily donate some $ for your time.

Hello all, I am trying to find what ships were providing escort to CVN-69 IKE on her 88 med cruise. From my understanding, depending on which part of the cruise the escorts may have rotated but if any one could give me a rough idea that would be amazing! I have seen hints at DESRON 6, but for the composition I cant find any information. Also, I cant seem to pinpoint which Carrier Strike Group the IKE was a part of at that time (or was she in Task Group 60?) Air-wing related information is readily available but the Naval side is proving difficult for me. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? I am working on missions for the squadron I fly with and hopefully with Admirals amazing mods we can cobble together most the carrier group. Hence the need for information.

Hello, weapons do not work at the harriers seem to spawn over water. Wakes seems a little odd too. Any chance of a little update? @BeldinCan you work your magic with this too perhaps?

Dear Currenthill, your work is wonderful. May I put in a request for some Cold War assets. I understand this depends on model availability but the game sorely needs more. Especially so for 80s Naval based operations. European Navy’s are almost non existent at the moment. Think Red Dawn Rising era. All the best.

@navyBtown I agree the lack of obvious assets is a great shame. Especially for the 80s Cold War era. So I decided to make some Spanish "Santa Maria Class" Perrys. Hello all, Recently I have been working on some Perry skins and have found a few bugs. Latest open Beta, Single thread, no mods installed at time of testing. 1.) Flags. This bug from 2021 is still an issue. The Perry will only show its flags if it is selected under the USA. Which makes the countries selection pointless. 2.) Insignia. Possibly a new bug. I noticed the Perry will not show insignia in game. It will show on the unit selection screen, meaning the description.lua and actual skin files are all correct, but for some reason when you start the mission it is not there. Please see attached screen shots. Similarly the US Perrys all use the same one insignia file and some ships are missing them. Other user made Perry skins all have the same issue too. Many thanks.

@joey45Hello there, I love the HMS Sandown mod but she seems to refuse to open fire with her gun. I’ve tried setting ROE to open fire and Alert red in the mission editor but it doesn’t seem to help. The gun tracks targets but doesn’t fire. Is there any chance you could take a little look at her? Many thanks.
