  1. Merry Christmas, update mission 09 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3328064/
  2. Mission 08 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3327901/
  3. Mission 07 Operation Hormuz Mission 07 (digitalcombatsimulator.com) [The mission is updated on 11 Dec 2022 again with several bug fix, please re-download and enjoy]
  4. Agreed. But with Steam edition, there is only two version available to choose, 2.5.xxx or Open Beta, I hope ED could let us choose the latest stable version as well.
  5. The Sixth mission is out now. Operation Hormuz Mission 06 (digitalcombatsimulator.com)
  6. As I flew a few missions during the weekend in VR, my feeling is that not only performance dropped in 2.8, but the image quality also gets worse than 2.7. When I look around (in VR), the contrast/brightness will adjust automatically but not in a natural way, which gives a poor experience. In the last 2.7 version, the scene looks much more natural than 2.8 (in VR, maybe it looks better in 2D with 2.8). I assume it's an issue from contrast/shadow but not sure. I hope ED could take this issue more seriously and fix both quality and performance issues in 2.8, otherwise the upgrade looks like a step backward for me (not intend to be negative but just wanna give this feedback to the developement team) Thank you ED as always!
  7. Hi Maverick87Shaka, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I found that the aircraft are not (always) arranged by its callsign even in the same group, i.e. Ford 1-2 in first row, Ford 1-3 in second row, Ford 1-4 in third row, and finally Ford 1-1 in fourth row. I selected the first aircraft in the list but didn't notice I was in Ford 1-2 I saw that my Tail Number was wrong, then I go back to the aircraft selection window and see that the aircraft isn't arranged by the full callsign, maybe it has changed after 2.8. Even so, for most of times, players don't pay much attention to their tail #, and also Ford 1-3 could have a tail # far apart from Ford 1-2 and Ford 1-1. I do look forward to seeing ED finishing the ready room, and if possible, after the briefing, player could walk to their aircraft based on the tail # of their assigned aircrafts.
  8. I wonder if it could be integrated as an official module or function in the future?
  9. Agreed. Hopefully they will get this removed in next patch, and hopefully next patch won't be too long.
  10. In aircraft selection window, it only shows the unit's Group Name, Tail Number, but doesn't show full callsign or pilot's name. As a result, players can't tell which aircraft is the flight Lead, and for some multiplayer cooperation missions, triggers are linked to flight Lead only. Could developer team add an column to show the full callsign such as Enfield 1-1, Enfield 1-2, Enfield 1-3 etc. @BIGNEWY Thanks.
  11. Here comes the fifth mission. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3326697/
  12. I've been creating multiplayer missions and when I flew these mission with my squadron friends, we always encounter "your flight is delayed to start" issue in the beginning when the server starts. I'm sure I have spared enough space for the normal spawn/respawn points on deck but still some of the multiplayer clients couldn't get a spawn space on deck. Anyone also encountered the same issue? and how should we do to circumvent this issue? Thank you.
  13. I experienced the same issue, huge fps drop (from 60 to 45) after upgrading 2.8. Personally, I wouldn't trade a 20-25% fps drop for a nicer / dymanic weather etc. 2.7 works just fine for me. Thinking to roll back to 2.7 stable version now. I understand ED is trying their best to improve players experience in every update they release, but just want to add this feedback to bring more attention. Please fix this issue so the game is at least playable, thank you!
  14. in 2.7 i have 60fps in sky but now with 2.8 i only have 45fps, i'm so sad with 2.8.
  15. And yet, this bug still there
  16. Here's the fourth mission, hope you enjoy it. Operation Hormuz Mission 04 (digitalcombatsimulator.com)
  17. Thank you sir!
  18. Hey guys, please leave a comment of what type of task do you want to play in the next mission. Several options are as follow: 1. Anti-ship search and strike 2. Precise attack with Laser bombs 3. Low level in with pop up bombing Cheers!
  19. Here comes the 3rd mission. (There was a revision after initial upload, fixed several bugs, please re-download it if you had downloaded the old one before 24 Sep 2022 noon time) Operation Hormuz Mission 03 (digitalcombatsimulator.com) Pls let me know how you like this campaign, any good ideas or future development, and any bugs need to be fixed, thanks!
  20. Hi TLA, thanks for the notice, HARM code has been corrected now.
  21. Hey all, Here comes the 2nd mission of the series. Let me know how do you like the mission and any feedback is welcome. Also special thanks to @toutenglisse who taught me a lot with the Mission Editor. Operation Hormuz Mission 02 (digitalcombatsimulator.com) Thank you!
  22. It works! Thank you Toutenglisse, you're a magician!
  23. I have the same question. I just want the AI aircraft to land on the carrier whilst I'm cold starting on the deck.
  24. [Designer's Notes] 1. Hawk 1-1 (Player 1, Tail # 211), is the mission commander for every mission, and must be selected to trigger designed events. 2. Cold start time is limited for some missions, it's highly recommended that the server remains paused until all players are seated and ready. 3. Please keep the original weapon loadout as some mission triggers will only be activated by a specified weapon type. 4. Please read the briefing material carefully in each mission pack. Please follow the flight waypoints, otherwise, some events might not be triggered. 5. It requires at least 4 players to complete most of the missions. But it's recommended to play with 4 or more players. Hawk 1 Flight is usually designed for primary objective, Hawk 2 Flight is for secondary objective, whilst an hot-on-ramp Hawk 3 flight with AA loadout doesn't carry any specific tasks but just in case more than 8 players want to play the game, feel free to change loadout and goals for Hawk 3. 6. For CAS missions, the in-game JTAC will ask you to depart after current group of targets are destroyed, but you could re-contact the same JTAC for the next assignment untill all groups of targets are destroyed. 7. All Air Force missions support maximum of 20 players, current simplified F-15C (FC3 module) will be replaced with full-simulated F-15C once it's released from ED. Although these missions don't have voiceovers, it would be more immersive if one player join as the Air Operation Controller to coordinate different flights/packages with different aircraft, especially when more than 2 flights (8 players) are in the game. It has detailed mission briefing in pdf inside the download package. Operation Hormuz Mission 01 (digitalcombatsimulator.com) I planned to make a series of mission as a whole campaign, it doesn't have much thrilling plots or challenging tasks, but mainly focuse on following briefing instructions, fly tactical formation and basic weapon handling in an "as-real-as-possible" battlefield environment for multiplayer COOP. Hope you enjoy it. Welcome for comments, and please give feedbacks if there's any bugs, thanks.
  25. Thanks again for your kind help! @toutenglisse Here is the first mission with a "fake EW" aircraft, suppressing enemy radar and taking the package (6*AI hornets plus 1-8 client hornet multiplayer COOP) for a runway attack mission, please let me know if you like it, thanks. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3325580/
