  1. The image is modified from this original: There is no evidence of the PRC ever receiving MiG-29s.
  2. When I initially made the table in the manual, I made it to show all targets that the Shrikes actually target regardless of them providing tone or not since the Shrike was a pretty new weapon at the time and still had some quirks in its implementation. Perhaps I'll update the table sometime in the future to distinguish which radars actually produce tone and are targetable.
  3. Trying to find live fire information is hard. Plus NASA never actually fired an AIM-54 for their hypersonic tests before the program went down. I think this would apply to other missiles in DCS as well.
  4. The report discusses that it would guide the missile toward an optimal trajectory to optimize the Mach number achieved. This would mean it would be nearly impossible to do in DCS since you can't make a missile in DCS go perform an exact trajectory like the one shown on Figure 2. This is most likely why your tests that you posted in your previous post didn't result a max Mach similar to the NASA simulation (as seen by the completely different trajectory that the missile took when looking at the altitude graph): The tests performed 2 years ago that JNelson posted should thoroughly demonstrate just how close our missile is to the NASA simulations.
  5. Can you send the entire paper? I no longer have that entire document and I would like to double check it.
  6. Iirc by default, the F-14 has a 60x flares and a 40x chaff CM loadout (60 flares in the ALE-39 and 40 chaff in the LAU-138s). If you want to not take any chaff at all, you can take off the LAU-138 in the Mission Editor.
  7. It is possible for the AIM-54 tests in DCS to match or get close to the NASA simulations:
  8. If you were to use the motor info that you highlighted from the Outsiders document, you wouldn’t get an accurate simulation of that AIM-54 test shot.
  9. Those images are from the same source (the Outsiders thesis) and that source document specifically discusses the information provided/cited could be invalid: I would not take the information taken from that document as the definitive final word on what the motor performance of the AIM-54 should be.
  10. This most likely is an ED issue since it's their weapon, 3D model, and art.
  11. Bumping this since even though it is a low priority issue that is still present today, it is a relatively quick lua fix.
  12. For the AIM-120 not visually showing its depleting after firing, I don't think that's an issue I can fix.
  13. Will try fixing this weekend EDIT 2024-11-03: Patch released and hopefully it works.
  14. IRL you need to press the Weapon Selector to switch from Sparrows to Phoenixes. In DCS, they've provided an option to switch from SP to PH by going up again on the Weapon Selector but this requires you to double check your Special Options to make sure the IRL option of requiring that Weapon Selector depress is disabled.
  15. I think it would be best to create your own thread since this a 5 year old thread discussing something else.
  16. Idk what you mean by napalm bomb effect since such bomb doesn't exist in DCS rn.
  17. Unfortunately the napalm bombs on the A-4E-C community mod is basically just a cluster bomb dispenser.
  18. Would require DCS to add it unfortunately.
  19. From GAF TO 1F-4F-34-1 page 1-157 it describes that the case/cartridge on the SUU-23 is ejected from the lower left side if the pod with sufficient velocity to clear the aircraft.
  20. Iirc what I’ve found is that after firing one Sparrow, attempting to jettison that specific missile would result in the sound for jettisoning being played but nothing actually falling off the plane.
  21. Hmm, nothing has changed in the files for any of the AIM-9s or R-3/R-13s that would change the FOV. Maybe it's an F-5E specific issue? Would it be possible for you to downgrade to a previous version and test it out?
  22. Tested it out and it seemed like there wasn't anything breaking the mods.
  23. I'll give them a look and see what's up. Probably broke because of a recent patch but I don't know if any changes actually would cause the mods to stop working.
  24. Against an SA-3 site that is set up with a Flat Face SR and the SA-3 Low Blow TR, I would personally take the Mk 37 to take out the Flat Face (since it has a pretty unique low RF relative to the rest of the Soviet SAM radars), and a Mk 49 of any Mod for the TR since it covers what the Mk 36 does and more. I personally haven't had issues with the Shrike not tracking the Low Blow at certain angles however like what I had with the Hawk TR. I would refer to the new tables included in the F-4's manual for more details but like what I said in the bug report thread that Northstar linked, sometimes Shrikes track even though they don't give tone.
  25. Yeah I'm using the "Full Action (button)" keybind. I attached a track in the original post that hopefully would be able to help but maybe a video would be better in this case since it seemed very inconsistent when it would enter a track. I didn't have any issues manually using the "Half Action (button)" then "Full Action (button)" very quickly to get a track however so it might be a timing issue like you said. One thing to note was that I wasn't having an issue with Pave Spike and firing the laser will the same keybind.
