  1. It is present in the current patch.
  2. They work in MP. The main problem people have with them in MP is that if the target radar isn't illuminating the rough area where the Shrike is flying, the Shrike won't track it due to lack of sidelobe modeling in DCS. This unfortunately is an issue of all ARM missiles in DCS but it is very easy to see with the Shrike. Also on another note, it seems my updated Shrike table got pushed so you guys should be able to use an updated manual online.
  3. I think this diagram is intentionally simplified. The 1F-4F-1 doesn't list the usage of TERs on the outer pylons for Mk82s and lists the loadout that we have in-game and in the 1F-4E-1. Also IIRC the reason why the German weapons were added recently was because of them being mentioned in the US 1F-4E-1.
  4. While I see both sides of the argument, I personally believe we should get the FAST packs in one way or another during or after EA as a low priority item at the very least. While FAST packs weren't used much outside of the 57th FIS and Elmendorf, it still is listed in the -1 (at least my copy of the 1986 TO 1F-15A-1) along with its basic operation + stores limitations so it should still be possible and on the books for something that could be added to the F-15C that ED is modeling. It certainly wasn't as rare as the F-15Es without CFTs that people were asking for prior to the F-15E's EA release.
  5. Have you tried running a repair and maybe try with and without your mods?
  6. I'm also unsure how the conclusion that we have a C-3 and not a C-5 was achieved considering if it were a C-3, the motor would be the exact same as the AIM-120B that we have in-game which isn't the case as stated by you. - The motor total impulse of the 120B is 105211 N while the 120C we have in-game has a total impulse of 117629 N this is all while the 120C is single stage. - While the warhead is basically copy-paste, the C-4 improvement to the warhead doesn't specifically mean the warhead is smaller or larger and could just mean that the warhead is improved in a manner such as improved reliability. - The 3D model is indeed incorrect as it is missing the shorter control section but this is an art thing and doesn't have a direct impact on the performance since it is an art error. In-game control section What it should look like:
  7. Since the selected timeframe stated for the our F-15C is the mid-2000s, will our it receive or have the option to mount the ALE-58 (I think that's the designation) BOL CM dispensers at the end of its LAU-128s? Images:

  8. I was able to get tone at the same range against the F-5 with both the AIM-9P5 and AIM-9M in the mission you provided. In the files the AIM-9P5 and 9M also have the same seeker in terms of detection range. Perhaps providing a track file showing what you experienced would be better than just Tacview screenshots since they're not that helpful in this instance.
  9. You should probably create a wish list thread instead of necroing a 3 year old thread.
  10. The F-14 was actually tested to withstand a high symmetrical G load as explained by this Grumman test pilot (timestamped 56:17): For the problem regarding pilot G loads, I suspect this might be a DCS core issue since I was able to pull and sustain around 12Gs in the F-15C and F/A-18C (immortal enabled since I was testing out the pilot G limits) and didn't completely blackout until a good amount of time had elapsed. This duration of time was similar to what you had achieved in your track in the F-14.
  11. IIRC you do full action on the trigger to cage and change FOV, not half action.
  12. It would be a lot better if you could post that track instead since the track you posted earlier is not a short track that can be replayed back.
  13. The image is modified from this original: There is no evidence of the PRC ever receiving MiG-29s.
  14. When I initially made the table in the manual, I made it to show all targets that the Shrikes actually target regardless of them providing tone or not since the Shrike was a pretty new weapon at the time and still had some quirks in its implementation. Perhaps I'll update the table sometime in the future to distinguish which radars actually produce tone and are targetable.
  15. Trying to find live fire information is hard. Plus NASA never actually fired an AIM-54 for their hypersonic tests before the program went down. I think this would apply to other missiles in DCS as well.
  16. The report discusses that it would guide the missile toward an optimal trajectory to optimize the Mach number achieved. This would mean it would be nearly impossible to do in DCS since you can't make a missile in DCS go perform an exact trajectory like the one shown on Figure 2. This is most likely why your tests that you posted in your previous post didn't result a max Mach similar to the NASA simulation (as seen by the completely different trajectory that the missile took when looking at the altitude graph): The tests performed 2 years ago that JNelson posted should thoroughly demonstrate just how close our missile is to the NASA simulations.
  17. Can you send the entire paper? I no longer have that entire document and I would like to double check it.
  18. Iirc by default, the F-14 has a 60x flares and a 40x chaff CM loadout (60 flares in the ALE-39 and 40 chaff in the LAU-138s). If you want to not take any chaff at all, you can take off the LAU-138 in the Mission Editor.
  19. It is possible for the AIM-54 tests in DCS to match or get close to the NASA simulations:
  20. If you were to use the motor info that you highlighted from the Outsiders document, you wouldn’t get an accurate simulation of that AIM-54 test shot.
  21. Those images are from the same source (the Outsiders thesis) and that source document specifically discusses the information provided/cited could be invalid: I would not take the information taken from that document as the definitive final word on what the motor performance of the AIM-54 should be.
  22. This most likely is an ED issue since it's their weapon, 3D model, and art.
  23. Bumping this since even though it is a low priority issue that is still present today, it is a relatively quick lua fix.
  24. For the AIM-120 not visually showing its depleting after firing, I don't think that's an issue I can fix.
  25. Will try fixing this weekend EDIT 2024-11-03: Patch released and hopefully it works.
