M249 soldier in the sim already goes prone. Don't know if they do when just halting or when enemies are nearby. So again, no big deal to "simulate" ;)

All of the red statements are possible with the mission editor. search the sniper position: waypoints, fire at point, whatever set a ROE: don't know what you mean by that, ROE is short for Rules of Engagement, you have that in the advanced waypoint actions or triggered actions. set a communication and coordinate a defence: Scripted radio calls. should hide: Invisible(true) request Air-support: scripted radio calls Why doesn't there have to be an infantry module for the current infantry units then? Why doesn't there have to be a tank module for the currently available tanks (there were tanks in DCS before CA)? Do we need a ship module to add ships to our missions? I still don't see your point, and in fact I am tired discussing it over and over again. My wish is having more infantry units, and with full respect for your opinion, let the ED team decide what happens with this wish. Fact is: Infantry Units are there. Giving them an M24 instead of their M4 can't be that difficult to "code"

Hm, modding is always nice, but in DCS I don't want to use them. When I make a mission, I like that people can play it without having to install mods first. So it should be in the vanilla version

@Pepin: You are completely off topic. Where do I write, that I want an infantry module? I just want more options in the "loadout" of the AI Infantry, so a sniper rally is a sniper, and not a machinegunner, where you have to imagine he would carry a sniper gun. And in the tgp you could tell very well, if there is a machinegunner or a sniper with his spotter lying on that hill

It doesn't have to be an infantry simulation, but I can't make a mission, where you have to cover a special forces unit when they do RATATATAT at enemy contact, rather that killing with a silenced shot. I Can't have a sniper in the area, M249 soliders seem to go prone when halting, but a sniper with an M249 looks stupid. Your argument is like "There is no need for T-55, T72, T-80, and T-90, because it is not a tank simulation" ;)

What has that to do with my wish for more infantry types in DCS?

The A-10C is a close air support bomber, often supporting infantry units. But the unit types you can set in the editor can't really play this out. There should be more types of infantry, like: - sniper/spotter (with the ability to go prone) - AT infantry (USA) - Special forces with silenced weapons Additionally there should be editor or script features like letting units go prone, take cover, lase targets

Believe it or not, I don't care, but opening port range from 10308 to 10309 rather than only 10308 solved the problem for me. I got that hint from another server admin, so can't be too unrealistic. As far as I know AWACS is an issue too, not only tankers. And of course no one knows if mods are used here, can cause issues too.

Just open both ports, try letting someone join. works? -> port was the reason doesn't work? -> port was not the reason if port was not the reason -> load a mission without tanker. works? -> tanker was the reason doesn't work? -> wait for patch

Then players should be able to join, if you don't use the tanker. Had the same problem, the solution was: Forwarding Port 10308 - 10309 TCP/UDP rather than only 10308.

If you have, please post some tracks of the mission, so I can see where I can improve things. Would it help to play a radio warning from wizard, if you fly too far over the border? -
Did you set the convoy invisible as a waypoint action or triggered action? Maybe the infantry doesn't have LOS to the convoy.. Can you post your miz file?

It's in the briefing. Orbit at waypoint 1. If you shoot at something (or get shot at) before darknight gives you permission) the mission is failed and will end (that's what the text says, have to translate it..). Waiting position of Darknight is marked by an IP named DRKNGHT in your CDU. Mission phase 1 consists of watching Darknight on their way to their objective. You can search for SAM threats and mark them to take them out easier in phase 2. Phase 2 is protecting Darknight on their way back. Maybe that makes it more clear? Did you fly over waypoint 1 when you got shot at? -

Apparently the russians are planning further attacks against Georgia. In the border city Gali our secret service has detected a russian command post. Recon has confirmed, that high command officers are stationed here, amongst others a general Kruglov. Secret service has detected, that Kruglov will soon lead a major offensive against Georgia. At 09:30 p.m. we will start an undercover operation together with the secret service, to capture Kruglov and collect as much military data as possible. A small group of special forces soldiers will pass the border at the bridge west of Rike. They continue with two secured vehicles to Gali. They will possibly encounter road blocks, but should be able to pass them with a secured military code. A triggered action would be nice for JTAC units (or units at all) to fire the laser on a target. Background: Would be nice to make more individual JTAC missions, where you can handle the radio calls by yourself and just let the JTAC fire his laser. Looked through the MIST function reference, seems to be not implemented there either -
I usually deploy flaps when slow enough, because I dont want my flight path marker to pop up suddenly. When I get slow enough, I place the FPM a bit below the runway threshold, then deploy flaps, so the fpm will slide up right onto the threshold. (regarding the planes that have an FPM of course, if I remember correctly, the SU doesn't have one, I don't fly it very often)

Yes, I already feared that I will have to familiarize myself with the scripting :D Just thought because there already has to be some sort of trigger for this, it should be easy to implement that in the editor, which is much easier to use than the scripts ;) -

"Unit is airborne" and "Unit landed" would be nice to have. We get messages when a player is airborne or landed at an airfield, so there already seems to be an internal trigger.
