Four of them on the roof of my car please. The sun will rise for those, who doesn't switch off the long distance lights at incoming cars... :D

Alternative punishment: Play HAWX for 2 hours :D

Yes, the rear rotor is higher. Also more power for the rear rotor is needed, to genereate the same amount of lift like the front rotor, because the airflow of the front rotor affects the rear rotor... The question would be, does it affect, and if yes, how much does it affect the rolling effect at higher speeds?
-
Yes, the formula and the conclusion is correct for a single rotor helo. But for a coaxial rotor helo, there should be for a retreating blade on one side also an advancing blade on the same side, generating the same amount of lift like the advancing blade on the other side. So far for my assumption at the moment I opened this thread. So if the asymmetrics are based on the fact that one rotor operates in the downwash of the other one, let's say we have a tandem configuration, like the CH-47 Chinook. There we should have the effect I described above, because both rotors can effectively use their full blade lengths for generating the lift.. edit: That was exactly what I thought today, loading the manual pdf to my Android. ;)

For A-10C you have to check a checkbox while installing, so the 32 Bit .exe will be installed along with the 64 Bit version. For Black Shark I have only one .exe. Apparently there is no 64 Bit .exe at all.. Works just fine for me (Win 7 64 Bit, TrackIR 4 Pro Hardware, TrackIR 5 Software, BS 1.00)

That makes sense.. I am at work now, don't have the manual here, but I read the chapter yesterday. As far as I saw, there was only mentioned, what I said above, that the airspeed adds/substracts to/from the rotor blade speed, causing different lift on each side of the heliocopter. If I remember correctly, the special situation with a coaxial rotor design wasn't mentioned, but I will check that as soon as I get home

Hi, I noticed something while trying to keep that damn thing flying where I want it to fly :D The higher my speed is, the higher will be my bank angle to the right side. Well, nothing noticable here, fully logical behavior, because my speed adds to the speed of the advancing rotor blade cutting through the air, and is substracted from the retreating blade. Et voila... different lift on each side of the helo. What I was wondering is the following. When I have two counterrotating rotors, there should be no different lift on each side, or am I wrong here? I fly with an airspeed of 300. I have an advancing blade on the left side of the helicopter, and a retreating blade on the right side. But from the second rotor, I have an advancing blade right, and a retreating blade on the left side... I would understand, if the overall lift generated would be decrease, but in a somehow balanced way Hope you can understand, what I want to say :)

Haha, now on mythbusters (german TV, DMAX), exactly the episode with the airplane :D

Uuuuaaaah..! I have started building now..!

This is insane... :D -
That was no offense

Er sagt es ist ein Fehler in der Fragestellung Just translated the term he didn't get. Airplane will not take off. Lift is generated by airflow over th wings, not by speed over the ground. If the plane is moving over a still ground the air causes lift on the wings. If the ground moves below the aircraft, the wings don't move in the air, so no airflow and no lift. That's it ;)

@dnme: Correct me if I'm wrong... but there is no such thing like a waypoint-following-cross-arms-and-do-nothing-autopilot...

I use steam only for one reason, nice offers in their shop. For everything else, the prices are much too high. Also, when I want to play, I want to play, instead of starting steam to see, that the game I want to play has to download a 1.8 gig update first. Also some games (Cities XL e.g.) have problems with the interface overlay. In Cities XL the Shift-Tab key doesn't work, so I always have that steam UI box in my view (unless I deactivate it completely via steam) Additionally, I don't know what happens when steam stops his service. What happens with the games I bought? No, there are a LOT of reasons not to use steam ;) -

4er Hardware 5er Software

I mapped the trim to my main coolie hat (X52 Pro) and removed the camera control from it. With TrackIR I won't need it anyway. In Flaming Cliffs 2 I mapped the trim to the Rotation axis. Still trying to find out, which one I find better
-
You should not trim in the middle of your approach. Start a few miles away from the runway, at 2,000 ft. Point the Marker at the runway , set a constant speed ant rim her to hold that descend. Then you have enough time to make corrections with the stick. Also set a deadzone for your stick in the menu, and a curve, like Zorg said
-
There is a Thanks-button, left of the post, the middle button under the user's name, Join Date, Posts and reputation ;) i know the problem with the corrections. Just keep calm, bring her in with very very smooth inputs. if you correct too much, you have to re-correct. That will result in the effect you described. try to place the Flight Path Indicator on the runway threshold, set your speed and use the trim function to trim your aircraft. with a little training, you will be able to land without even touching the stick anymore (except the flare maneuver) ;) edit: You can download FC2 here. But you have to buy it, to get the serial code to unlock it after installation ;)

Er hat die Fehlermeldung als Bild angehängt, ist schon OK so... @Yanouk: Ja, haben sie rausgenommen, stand auch im Patchlog

Based on the "Wölfe des Nordens" (Wolves of the North), a german Guild Wars and Age of Conan Guild, I formed the 92nd VFW "Airwolves" today. Although, only three members, but that doesn't matter, cause I've created a fancy kickass Squadron Logo... :D Maybe I get some positive response from my Guild so I can add some Pilots to the roster... Flying A-10C, Black Shark, LockOn Platinum, Falcon AF, Enemy Engaged (1+2), FSX and FS2004 No website yet...

Well, would be no problem, if you make it optional, I think the missing wings would not bother me, when I get a "real" cockpit view in exchange, with a real HUD and real instruments. That's what kept me from building a pit, it's somehow only half the experience, you still have too much stuff on the monitor instead of "in the cockpit"
-
Is there ANY system in the sort order of the numbers? :D
-
Would be cool, if ED would implement that. A selfmade real HUD while having only the external surrounding on the monitor, or better, on the "view-dome" would extremely increase the nerd-factor of home-cockpits :)
