  1. Are the OSBs fully functional? And a second question: What about the instruments (HSI, ADI, VSI, Altimeter, ...), can they be displayed on an external screen? And a third question: The sweetest thing would be a camera view without cockpit and without a HUD, with the HUD on an own monitor. Possible?
  2. [evil mode on] If you can't access the forum, the video will be of no use for you [evil mode off] ;)
  3. So if you hear the static, the squelch switch is deactivated (squelch = mute) ;) But that is okay... hhmm... was my first and only guess..
  4. Squelch Switch activated?
  5. So we can say, we can at least land parts of the A-10 on a moving train...even if it won't be moving anymore after the...landing procedure :D Designating a target with laser gives the term (partial) ILS-Landing a whole new meaning :D
  6. Recommended != Required. I say, recommended is always the maximum of hardware you can get, because there you will get the best results ;)
  7. Land the A-10 on a submarine, diving through the canals? :D
  8. $3800 plus the power to run 3 projectors and the computer... Very cool, but I think too expensive... at least for me.
  9. Help me, I think I'm too blind this morning... I can't see what you want to show with the screenshots, and I don't get the connection with the tread title...
  10. Hm, that was the first explanation that I had :D
  11. Nice video..it looks so easy.. :D
  12. Started the series with medieval, years ago, it was great. Rome and Medieval 2 were great, too, but I didn't like Empire that much. Never tried Napoleon. IMO the best part was Medieval 2, the Castle sieges were simply great. Looking forward to Shogun 2, hope it will be better than Empire
  13. Additionally, unguided Bombs are not made to be dropped from high altitudes. Much too inaccurate. Use guided LGB or JDAMs from higher altitude. With dumb bombs you have to feel the shockwave giving you the speed boost for egress :D
  14. DCS is simulating what the real A-10 can do. So if there is no "Falcon" CCIP Mode in the real Hog, it won't be in the sim.
  15. DCS: IMMA FIRIN' MA LAZ...ahem..AVENGAAAAAA
  16. No, that doesn't explain, why it won't accept the Hotkeys I configured in the "Default" profile, that I use exclusively, so it doesn't select any other profile at all
  17. Have the same problem and tried to check the exclusive box. Didn't work. Fortunately I never had to reset the TrackIR via F12 (Alt-F12 in my case) yet
  18. Anyway... nice (p)review ;) Still much to do, but already a very very nice sim
  19. WTF?? FAQ Any1? omg... Or in german.... "scheiß aküfi" WID = When it's done ;) QFT = Quoted for truth
  20. Pssst.... If the thing you are reviewing is not yet released, it's called "preview" ;)
  21. But for Navigation? In the A-10A the CDI-Arrow points to the steerpoint (like bearing marker 2 in the A-10C), and the CDI shows wheter you are on the course line or not. In the A-10C I am on course line according to TAD, but the CDI is far off the center, and not even pointing near the STP (in steerpoint mode)
  22. Will the HSI be part of any training? or is it more or less obsolete, and you use the TAD for detemining, wheter you are on course or not? I was so proud I understoor the CDI in the A-10A, but in the A-10C it seems to work totally different
  23. I'm blind...I read it, but I didn't see that one. I should not go out there to hunt tanks ;) Thanks a lot
  24. Hi pilots I have a problem right here, I discovered in the navigation Training mission, when the instructor said, I should set the throttle to around 80% fan speed to stabilize at around 300kias. Well, when I push my throttle (Saitek X52 Pro) all the way forward, I will end up with around 82% fan speed. Should it not be around 98% fan speed? I didn't touch any config about the throttle, saturation (X 100; Y 100) and curvature (0) set to default. Is there a way to configure my throttle to get the maximum of fan speed, and if yes, how can I do that?
  25. Haha, yes, of course you can read it while...on the ejection seat ;)
