  1. Anybody figure out how to get cockpit shadows to work properly. They are almost useable looks like they need a helix mod
  2. Personally I love the way the rift is, it's just like a real pilot ya sure lower res but pilots don't have uber zoom eye ball vision. Makes you think more and more tactical decisions are made. I would never go back to a 2d screen. Once you get this thing dialed it's epic and honestly it keeps you from the whole zoom cheating like on gun runs in a a10c. It forces you to,engage within the proper engagement range and ya some good pucker factor. I could see zooming in onto mfd or other parts of the pit, I honestly can see air threats easier in the rift compared to the 55 incher in 3d.
  3. Has anybody else noticed in dcs world that dsr or downsampling does not work. No matter what for me dcs world will only output the 1080 res its like a Rift lua or something totally makes it impossible to run a higher resolution downsampled to the rift. But will work on the desk top
  4. I currently force Anti Aliasing in the nvidia control panel as its the only way to get it to work with oculus rift.
  5. Ya love dk2. I always wondered if theirs a company out their selling upgrade screens for the dk2. The head tracking is great until you look directly behind you then not having any sensors or what not on back of dk2 kind of sucks. My hats already been fixed with cv1. I'm really interested though in buying after market improved screen for dk2 if it exists. Like you said it's near perfect minus the resolution well wish we could just fix that now lol.
  6. I agree vive has surpassed oculus. Hopefully oculus will pull their head out of bum and have their prototype reviewed to silent the crowd. Until then vive is more interesting at this juncture. All I really care is dcs world compatibility both on vr hardware front and ED front

  9. Seriously? Thats why we are currently stuck with what the capabilities of the F-15 and su-27 have. This is a simulator nothing should be based on fairness.   10. Current res is fine once you adapt to it. So what is stated as specs for the htc device is a huge improvement as its a screen per eye. Makes a big difference.
  11. I'm all in for the valve device. But...... Will it work with dcs world and or dcs world 2.0?
  12. The f15 is no where nearly realistically modeled. It's even su27 vs f15. Their both nerfed for fairness not simulated realism
  13. My recommendation is yes please make the server a true red vs blue. NATO aircraft on blue and well red aircraft on red. Right now it's just a call of duty spam fest with the call of duty fc3 aircraft going after anything that moves. Biggest problem is not everybody is on team speak so team continuity is impossible. Oh f15 spike on rwr is that friend or foe? Obviously should be friendly only when on blue. Please take this into consideration as its a great server to get on and do some team work in many different modules.
  14. Dude the old map looks beyond epic in 2.0 and is and will be the only true combat map when the Nevada map is out. From what has been shown the old map is a whole new looking map in the new engine. Heck I'm more excited for that than I am Nevada honestly. As I've been to Nevada many times for training it just doesn't have that mystery or combat compliance as Russia and Georgia does for obvious reasons. Now the technology and detail in Nevada map heck ya awesome. But will be a training map that is all in squadron I'm training to be a full member in.
  15. Amen I'm loving the Dk2. I also got it setup for good frames and still good graphics. Sure reinforces good tactics and good Airmanship. Night time is the best for sure, can't wait to see this in dcs 2.0 as I have it very playable and combat effective now in the ka50 and a10c. Will imagine it being more enhanced in the new engine.

  18. So that's odd this thing makes AA not work? As I totally notice that with the oculus rift. Or is it the new .16 patch because when I revert back to sweetf 1.51 Aa no matter where it's turned on doesn't work?
  19. Overclock your processor. I was once like you many years ago. It only take about 30 mins of reading and research these day to learn how to overclock. Since you have a gaming mobo more than likely it already has built in profiles for your processor. Google your mobo and processor along with word overclock. That would be your biggest benefit with this game. I too have 980 sli. Waste of money currently until 2.0 comes out. I have my 4770k at 4.6 and that makes all the difference in the world.

  22. in this newest .16 patch non of my forced settings in nvidia control panel or settings in game for Anti aliasing have any effect what's so ever. Anybody else notice this?
