No as a pilot you prepare and take both the traditional visor and NVGs with you. The sim doesn’t need to model the pilot taking the visor off and putting the NVGs on.
Probably a limitation of DCS world though so I guess we’re stuck with one or the other.
Obviously you're not, and you're not listening. As soon as you place the throttle over the hump set the switch from MOTOR to NORM and it'll start.
You're correct.
The engine will never start with the switch in MOTOR.
Procedures are clear to me, throttle over the hump, switch to normal. Are you quoting the ED manual? Personally I never ready it but walks already real world engine run qualified back then.
Uhm, you’re incorrect about the “Engine Start Cycle” light, per the job guide when moving the ENG OPER switch to MOTOR the ENG START CYCLE light illuminates.
Or maybe I just don’t understand what you’re going on about.
FYI, I contacted Sithspawn last week and he verified the flood light issue is already reported in mantis.
It’s tied to deferred shading, flood lights work the same as previous with deferred shading set to OFF.
FLIP for Georgia, Russia, and Nevada that we made in the 476th may help. We didn’t do all the airfields in Georgia just the ones we use the most.

Just did a quick check with the latest 2.1, flood lights are still not bright enough even when the canopy is closed. And the engine instrument lights don't work at all.
You do realize that UsAF KC-135s have an adaptor that can be put on the boom? Doesn’t need anything to fancy and probably a much quicker update to the current model than having to add wing pods.
Manual Reversion was so bad, and windmilling engines produced to much hydraulic pressure (Big cough cough) that I haven’t tried Manual Reversion in forever.
Need to test the windmilling engine hydraulics issue and man rev to see how it is now.
The APU can only operate one system at a time and has to be manually selected (left or right) by a handle. The handle can only be accessed through a panel near the APU.
I gotta admit, originally I didn't care about the updates to the old map but I'm actually really looking forward to it now. Personally more so than SoH because it isn't another desert. Looking good ED, hope we have it on our PCs soon!!
We created our own 11-250 so all the info in the 476 version is completely accurate to what is modeled in DCS. That being said it’s not publically released.
My opinion is based on details that aren't public knowledge about A-10 system capabilities as well as discussions with pilots and actually military analysts and experts, not just because I work A-10s.
I didn't once say the A-10 wouldn't have huge losses I'm saying in a war with a near-peer advisary every asset in our inventory would be used to include the A-10 and tactics would be used based on that threat. What we are currently doing in Syria and Iraq wouldn't work because of the A-10s limitations.
