  6. I'm not defending the Tomcat, there are 2 clearly difeferent bugs(Amraam terrible guidance/ Tomcat with ECM), but people are trying to deny the first by using the other one, ok?

  8. We are seeing missiles missing from all directions in multiplayer, but somehow we need to recreate the exact conditions from that video to point out how the missile is behaving incredible bad, not only against the "Meme-14".
  9. I agree that it's very easy to notch SD-10s too, and usually it's the best option instead of going cold against this missile. I'd like to know if it's using the same API or the old one.
  10. Then watch this one please. It's not the Tomcat. - There's no ECM on Vipers ATM - Missile had plenty of energy - No ground clutter, or as the guy who sent me this said, maybe "Sun clutter?" - Viper was pulling 5G's at most and under mach 1.2
  11. Use any drivable unit at full speed in rough terrain, the unit will shake in a rocking motion sideways. This issue seems to be fixed before but now it has returned. Tracks attached CA bobbing units.trk
  12. I agree that it's part of the problem, but it's not the main issue ATM, as other people have pointed out, you can notch missiles with a less precise RWR like in the Flanker. IMHO I'd suggest you create a bug report on each of those planes (Viper, Hornet ect.), if there's none created now. I think It's not going to achieve much on a thread about the missile API . On a sidenote, I really hope the same treatment for missile's seekers go into the other modern platforms as well, Blue or Red, or we'll have soon enough EF-2000 firing Meteors that never hit because "notch".

  14. ED is working on the API for the missiles, for now the -120, and i'm thankful for that. But please, take a look at the notch gates and the seeker: it's nothing like the aiming error we have now, where we have a small chance of fooling the missile close to the ground. Instead we have a reliable, easy way to fool the missile. It hurts a huge aspect of DCS that is Air-to-air combat. Thanks

  17. Great post OP, i can't agree more. Notching -120 (and other modern missiles) right now in DCS is extremely easy. It's too reliable, to the point of invalidating almost any other defense maneuver. Notching one missile should be a fluke, not a rule...
  18. +1 I know, we have a version that is based on the Tiger used by Aggressors/ Swiss tiger with shark nose etc. But one can dream!

Hi, could you please take a look at this: While in ACM mode, it's extremely hard to lock a bandit if it's bellow the aircraft, sometimes losing track of a bandit simply if he's diving to the ground, while inside the Radar azimuth limits. I've tried HUD scan, Vertical and Boresight, and it only locks him if he's close to the horizon or above you. How to recreate: Any mission where you have to use ACM should do, i'd say go for the Instant Action "High Aspect Basic Fighter Maneuvers" to test different scenarios quickly. F-16 ACM look down.trk
