Thanks to ED and all creators involved and b making this beautiful 2024 and beyond video!!! 2024 will be be beautiful in DCS… Chinook footage was great also looking forward to KW. DCS helicopter fleet will grow….. With Afghanistan and Iraq now officially announced I now added to new maps to my waiting for wishlist. And some teasing of Kola map seen!!! The new ground vehicles look so nice as well!! Thanks ED!!!

I can confirm that Hover with Att hold and Alt Hold is much mor stable now. Seems to me, that Helo also gets faster in a stable hover position than in previous version.

Sorry to here you had such problems. I for myself did. never try the HF8 software and run the pad via SSA from Day 1 without issues. I even run now 3 buttkickers with the pad simultaneously in SSA and it works very fine for me.

Did you choose forcefeel in the SSA software in the second tab of settings? Also it seems that the HF8 NLR software seems to interfere in some ways with the SSA software if you tried to run both. That was the same in the problems just above in this thread of jabbazhah. A repair DCS export in the settings tab of SSA helped him.

Certainly true. It‘s definitly good having someone at your side helping you…. also I really wish some more AI funcionality in DCS, especially when it comes to helicopters. My point was more dealing with the cover me as an workaround till AI gets better….

Maybe mit what you mean by getting help from your wingman, but did you try „Cover me“ order?

Though I‘d hope for a north and south splittend Vietnam map……a two part Iraq map, also maybe north and south splittend, is a reasonable theater. Was hoping for this as well. Yes, Afghanistan map will be great for helis offering lots of challenges…..It will find lots of friends in the DCS community and will sell very. I‘m looking really forward to it.

I was not speaking of applying pedal on liftoff, which is left pedal input in AH-64 as a rotor counterclockwise rotating helo. I was speaking of neutral pedal position on the ground for steering as the OP asked. Neutral pedal position is right pedal a bit applied. Otherwise helo will start spinning on the ground when unlocking tailwheel and parking brake released.

Cool! And I thought Chicken Run was a movie. BTW: The Chinook website is excellent. I found it years ago. And it‘s a great place for things around Chinook history.

You need pedal control for steering. If you don‘t have pedals, you might have a joystick with twistgrip you can assign pedal axes to? Also note that neutral pedal position, when the helo wouldn’t spin around, is not in centered position in the AH-64D, but with a bit right pedal applied.

Yes, sounds like game flight model is ticked in DCS menu settings.

Looking great! Yes, assembly takes a while, but you will see that this pit is really nice configurable for your personal needs if you want to.

You cold try repair DCS export on your settings tab of SSA.

I‘m interested in helos in general and do flying them for more than 15 years in flightsimming…..so for me it‘s not only the weapons…..I really hope does the CH-47 FM really good.
