  1. Mine crashed for the first time ever in 5 years. In VR, Flying the F16 in Iraq. Made my own mission to take out 4 Mig29's. The second I locked on, bam.. Froze and crashed.
  2. I understand updating drivers, but we shouldn't have to do much more. It should just work. I have other Flight sims that dont have these issues. I shouldn't have to set the affinity.
  3. On the new Iraq map. I was flying the F16 and anytime I climbed over 42k ft. it would start stuttering bad! Then when I fly low, the trees cause the exact same issue. I have a powerful system too. This is in VR. Hope they figure this out. I would rather have the system running smoother than any new aircraft or maps. Just my opinion.
  4. I updated my Nvidia drivers and now I get Micro stutters every 30 seconds. Im still testing. Tomorrow I will uninstall Nvidia drivers and install an older version. If that doesn't work, I guess it's time to reinstall DCS for the 10th time. No other flight sims have cause this many issues. It does get frustrating. I shouldn't have updated anything, but I was two to three updates behind.
  5. might switch to the hornet for a while.
  6. Several topics on it already. I stopped playing for about a month hoping they would have it fixed by now. Came on here and left a report on the TWS/RWS/Dogfight modes a while back. Was notified it's already been reported but I don't see anywhere if they are even trying to fix it. I noticed they had a couple updates as well and still no fix. I tried playing today and still issues, the comms stay on and won't shut up, I have to turn the comms volume down. Sorry for venting. I don't really use my pc for anything else.
  7. Hope they fix this soon. its making me not want to play at all.
  8. Had a feeling I wasn't using MT. thank you. I keep forgetting to notice which mode its in.
  9. I didn't even think of that. I will try that as soon as I can.
  10. I usually set up my F16 in TWS mode. When selecting Dogfight, then switching back to Missiles. It resets all my settings back to RWS. This didn't use to happen at all, it used to keep my settings.
  11. Can barely see the cursor. It black now. Can barely see and I am having a hard time setting up my jet. Just read this might be a single thread issue. I will try again tomorrow. Didnt even notice if it was in multi thread or not.
  12. Free flight in the F16 starts fine, then it will start drifting. It will roll right and start climbing on its own. It won't fly level no matter what I do after about 60 seconds of playing. doesn't do that on any other map. Multiple issues though. I will create a new topic for each issue.
  13. I just got my Meta Quest 3. My earlier VR headset was a Valve Index which I loved. I went through 3 different other VR headsets and returned them all, Big Screen, Aero, and HTC VIVE. Im sorry you're having issues, I couldn't believe how amazingly easy it was to get DCS to work on my quest. Link cable, loaded the quest software then opened Steam VR and it just worked. The graphics are amazing and now all the stutters I had before are all gone. runs very smooth.

    VR upscaling

I have always liked MASS far better than the others.

    VR upscaling

The problem is, the second we get a new generation of CPU's and GPU's the programers add more graphics so we can never get ahead. Just so they can say, our program looks the best. Oh yea, and VR is still being worked out. Im hoping they figure out how to optimize VR better.
  16. I wasn’t imagining anything. I played for years before the update I specified above at 144hz on my valve index.
  17. No. nothing has. Like I said, I used to set my VR headset to 144hz. and the graphics a little higher than they are now and that was on an AMD 6900xt. I now have an Nvidia 4090. But what ever they did ( either DCS or Steam ) ruined the way it handles VR. People keep saying if your FPS drops below your HZ, it will stutter. Well, before it didn't used to do that at all. The only time I got it to stutter was under 30FPS. no where near what it needs to be to hold 144hz. Some maps I can't even play like Syria when flying through the buildings, which used to be super smooth and hitting 40-50FPS. I truly believe it was a Steam Update not so much DCS itself. NO HEADSET HAS HELPED. I have tried three different ones now. Not even the Varjo.
  18. I had to send it back and get a refund. Couldn't get it to work. they even sent me a replacement and it didn't work. In the end I didn't like how small it is. It felt like wearing swimming goggles instead of a mask. When Im swimming, pool or ocean, I prefer a full mask. I didn't like how it felt.
  19. Figured out its when I enter DCS MT through Steam and not Steam VR. I didn't know they fixed the Steam VR loading options to include the MT version.
  20. I noticed this started with the new Steam update. Both Steam VR and Steam app got updated recently and that's when mine started.
  21. Anytime I load VR MT DCS from within Steam, it loads another screen inside the main screen. Its driving me crazy. Im inside the hanger looking around normally but theres a box as if its virtual desktop mode inside the screen im looking at. best way I can describe it. I got it to work once by turning off VR mode inside DCS, then loading it again to 2d mode and selecting VR mode. But now I cant get that second screen to go away. Any help I would appreciate it. I tried searching for the answer too.
  22. I didn't read everything but this happened to me a long time ago. When I started playing DCS about 4-5 years ago it ran smooth. Perfectly smooth. A few months passed and all the sudden I had the exact same stuttering you're experiencing. The only way I fixed it was by completely deleting it and reinstalling it on another drive and it worked flawlessly. If you have not tried that, I would do that first. Save all your missions you've created, anything else you want to keep. Just don't add them at first when you do a clean install. Make sure DCS runs smooth, then add them. Hope you figure this out. I have had DCS get corrupted before when the updates hit.
  23. RIP.
  24. I know this is an old post but I found this by doing a search on , Varjo Aero is very uncomfortable to find out if others feel the same. This one caught my eye because I honestly couldnt believe what I read. The valve index to me is far far more comfortable. I can game with that headset for hours! I just got the Varjo Aero and tried the Bigscreen Beyond, and both are so uncomfortable to me. The Varjo feels like its cutting into my cheeks no matter how I adjust it. The Beyond felt like wearing small eye goggles which just doesn't feel good to me. Im shocked these used to cost 2k. I had issues getting it to run correctly too. I think I finally got it dialed in. The visuals are great but not 2k great. Im glad I bought it during their Black Friday sale. I might just go back to my Index. The index had a much better FOV and far more comfortable.
  25. received the Big Screen Vr headset. the visuals are amazing, although it was intermittent. The headset has issues and they are going to send me a new one.
