Hope you guys? Hope ED can fix it so more people can fly online without having problems.

Hopefully this will get fixed before I get back and set up to fly. Hate flying in missions that are strictly A2A or A2G.

When I get FC3 I'll have to take a look at it. -
A bad day for airshows... blue angels to follow?
Cali replied to Python's topic in Military and Aviation
I know a few reservist/guard that lost their job or will lose 20% of their pay until Oct 2012. This is going to start middle of April for them. Things are getting bad and I fear they are only going to get worse. The Air Force has already lost up to 18% of their flying hours. -
Why is it cloudy every day here! I'll be on the lookout for these guys the next few days.

Man, how many times do you guys have to tell people that missiles are a WIP? In 1.2.2 the ER's were nerfed, now in 1.2.3 people are saying the 120's are nerfed. No matter what happens something is not going to be right, cause it's in beta. Oops, forgot that the 120 and 77's were also nerfed in 1.2.2. I don't know what you are doing to not hit a 25 at 4 miles head on, but you need to change it. Also, to fire 6x120's from 14-20 miles and miss is a little fishy also. I've heard a few people say the missiles are better now, but 14 miles......you should get a hit. Post the track if you have it.

That's what the article says, no shows after April 1st....I wonder if it's an April's fools trick :D -

Thunderbirds cancel all shows in 2012 and hours cut for air force flying by as much as 18%. http://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123338424 -
Looks like a good start. I plan on using my 24" or 26" monitor for my front panel, I don't feel like having multi screens right now. I will also use this when I fly BMS, so it has to be versatile. How are you getting the panels and MFD's? You making them yourself or buying them somewhere?

Thanks for the run down, others see what needs to be done. Can't wait to see what the surprise is with Franken-Potato and Control Manager.

Was planning on going to the air show, then the next week on a 5-7 day cruise to the Bahamas. If they aren't going to be there, then I guess I can move the date of my cruise up. I hope they figure it out by Mid-March. -
Hop on a squad comms and see how you fit in with them. An important thing is to find one in the timeframe that you fly with. For me, I worked mid shift, so Friday and Saturday I would stay up until 4-5am and fly in between 11pm and that time. Most of the guys in my squad were in Aussy and Europe, so that time fit just fine. Good luck in your search.

*MULTIPLAYER* Logbook...The wait is FINALLY over! (release)

I'm just glad that they are getting worked on to be better and not super missiles. Just like the ET got neutered from FC1, all missiles got chopped in FC3......from what I hear. -

I agree with DCS being the future, I just hope it has the features that BMS has. -
The 120 is a medium ranged missile, it's in the name. Anything over 20 miles is nice, but I wouldn't expect to get them a lot. Back in FC2, yes over 30 miles happened a lot, only because of missiles being over modeled. Like GG said, they are a WIP and we'll see what happens in the future. Just because it says it's range is 30-40 miles, doesn't mean you will get kills at that range.

Lmbo  you guys are funny, anything added to DCS is a bonus. I for one am not going to buy the Mig-21, but I hope that it does good in sales, then hopefully he'll make something I might buy. I voted for the DC, hopefully it will be something like BMS. -
*MULTIPLAYER* Logbook...The wait is FINALLY over! (release)
Cali replied to Ebs's topic in DCS Modding
People are going to do crazy stuff like that no matter what. Some people play just to have fun and others play it more rl like. Nothing we can do about that, unless you ran a closed server like the old Red Flags use to be like. One purpose of the stats is to show who is the best in a certain jet right? Every fighter pilot wants to be good and if they are good, why not do it. Getting easy kills against people that aren't good vs getting kills against other good pilots are two different things. I know some pilots back in FC2 would go out and get 10 kills within an hour, but they were kills against people that didn't know or noobs. Some people would take off and climb above angels 40, fire 120's from 40+ miles away and that was it. You rarely saw this guys down low unless they were taking off or landing :D. -
Hajduk is reaching for anything now...

The 104th use to have stats back in FC2 and it didn't affect game play then, I don't see why that would change now. It all depends on the person flying. I would rather have a higher k/d ratio then have a lot of kills. Some people don't care about the risk of being shot down, they just try to get the kill....eve if they are running into a SAM or outnumbered. I have seen things like that happen many times before a guy still chasing me when our SAM's have fired at him. It comes down to some people play it just as a game and they don't care if they live or die. Other people want to actually be good and fly according to that. When we would fly as a squad, it didn't matter who got the kill, just as long as the guy was blasted out of the sky. Other squads are the same way, at least that's how it should be. Teamwork is always a big part in this game, although there are some very good lone wolves out there. There have been times that I flew hours with my squad and only got 1 maybe 2 kills, but I was ok with that. -
I like that guy also, I think that the cuts need to come from congress....all of them until this mess is fixed.

I certainly hope you aren't putting me in that category? Every jet I have worked on I known someone that flew them, F-16's, A-10's and B-52's and I do or did talk to this people on a weekly occasion.
