Well, the payment thing has been confirmed by the opposing party. So it wasn't just a denial, that was confirmed. No worries. Thanks for raising the question if that's some kind of rumor going around.

I can most certainly clarify that. I was never, have never, been employed by Razbam for anything. Never collected a penny from them, etc. I have no problem answering that question. I'm not sure where people got that assumption and if they would have asked, I would have gladly clarified. That's nothing but someone's assumption based on nothing I have ever said.

Well, I could see two glaring issues with that scenario. 1. Would potentially mean that the allegations were made without knowing that it were in any way factual prior to. 2. I would have a hard time believing that any lawyer would condone even a counter-response of such allegations like that, as it would open yourself up to a libel/defamation lawsuit right out of the gate for making such allegations being unfounded, and certainly not as a result of a court ruling. All speculation, but...would lead me to believe that statement was made as a result of personal grievances and not ones made with any sort of legal consultation prior to. Doesn't quite make sense to me. Just my opinion. The initial post of 'we have not been paid' with no criminal allegations being made sounds a lot more like it was crafted with legal consultation than the response to it. Just my thoughts.

People repeating it around here like it’s gospel/truth. I just stated my stance on it. Think a lot of others should be asking themselves the same questions IMO. Making the accusation doesn’t just automatically get overlooked on the idea that its okay to be hidden behind a veil of secrecy. You don’t just get handed a pass based on that. It was a choice to publicly make it, don’t say it if you aren’t willing to show us all. Which means exactly that, everyone repeating it has nothing to go on either.

I’ll just be over here waiting for someone to justify some allegations. So many repeating hearsay….and no one has any clue what it is or what its even about….but yet it must be true. Weird bunch of folks.

Well, lets be honest...it didn't have one. For years. Still doesn't if you wanna get technical. And I don't think you wanna start drawing comparisons between the radar of those two aircraft....specially out the gate.

I'll explain as may there was confusion on my behalf. I should have shorted the quote up. "And if someone isn't being treated properly by the other party in a contract they can always take that to arbitration - if they don't, that's usually for a reason too" I took that to mean that you were referring to RB LLC not taking legal action? Because they possibly had no ground to do so? Or the lack of legal action thus far as an indication they had something to hide? If not I apologize for misinterpreting. And to the first part of that...it very much would make a difference when it comes to withholdings, etc if those are two separate contractual agreements. From one side it has not been made clear whether they are related, members of the other side dispute that they are not....even if it relates to all that in the first place.. Heck, the whole 'IP infringement' accusation has not been made clear, so this is all speculation really. See my earlier point about 1 or 2 posts ago on that.

I dunno if I would quite go to the level of the first part....but yes in general to it all. But so far....the dots I connect from what's been out there...either don't make sense....or they don't connect to anything yet. And the developers and the paying customer are in fact the ones on the biggest losing end of all of it. I can't honestly sit here and say that either one of those is being looked after in the situation. There are choices to be made that could change that in the interim that helps both of them but....

Well, can only speak for me, but my thoughts are that you shouldn't openly make the accusation unless you are also prepared to openly defend it. Its one to have a rift between companies, it's another to openly accuse the other party of a crime. Let's not forget or omit, only one party did that.

Well, fortunately social media trials are not legal proceedings either. And that's exactly where guilt of IP violations is handled.

And...the word 'if' is still present there isn't it? What do you have to go on thus far? Trust? That would be the only thing that's out there to this point. For the last three decades I have had the same mantra in my line of work. "Trust but verify". You can be my own mother...I trust you...but I'm also going to verify what you tell me or what you have done before I'll accept it. Not doing so can get people killed. So far....the other 90% is missing and hidden under a cloak of secrecy. You can't know....but just 'trust' us. I don't personally buy into that thinking. Specially when it comes to someone else's livelihood and whether someone is 'guilty' of a legal accusation. You are basing that all on a lot of 'what if's' and second party statements...and only an affected party...not a non-bias one. Certainly not a judge. Since we are speaking what-if's. What if you were a party that holds all the leverage...holds the money....and just says if you want money you might be rightfully owed...you need to put up additional money on top of that for legal council in order to come get it. Not our money...customer money. Meanwhile...we'll just sit on it till then and say you are guilty of X without a legal proceeding. We won't take you to court ourselves to prove accusations and have a judge rule on it, we'll just make our own ruling on this one. Just playing...what if's.

Might not. And there is the word 'IF'. We know money isn't changing hands. That was confirmed. No need to speculate there. But most of the public judging by the general temperature everywhere, is that the majority want no part in all of it. They paid money. They want no part of a tiff between a distinct few at the top. So far, their money is being withheld from the developers who made said product. Customers didn't vote for that...it just happened. That's a choice being made, and not by the customer. The devs have said they'll support it if they get paid. Thus far, no one is holding them to their word or calling them on it because the money is still exactly where it has been. That's the point of the post you initially quoted. If you are fine with that...perfectly okay. You are welcome to do that. Most customers involved in this? Probably not I'm guessing.

Hmmm....same could be said for accusing IP violations. Ones that still haven't even come to light yet. "Guilty before innocence' is not how that usually works in most countries. Carry on....

Depending on who you listen to, the water gets very muddy on whether DCS and MCS are even related or are treated as two different entities entirely with two different sets of contracts. Each customer can decide for themselves whether or not they are okay with any of that drama affecting an independent product they paid money for, and as a result, have that money held as a litigation tool, which has ultimately resulted in development/support stopping for the last two months and foreseeable future at this point.
