  1. Speculating, but possibly a “slow burn” round where the powder doesn’t ignite fast enough and the round comes out the barrel after it’s rotated behind the fairing. Seen it happen a few times on -15s.
  2. Pretty sure this is already reported in the bug forum as being an issue...track hostile with no print ID on SA page.
  3. That’s not how that works, as stated in the other posts above.
  4. What you are saying is correct, the radar antennae is used to broadcast interrogation signals. IIRC, it uses the radar dipoles. The airframe antennas are for interrogation response. To answer your second question, you should not be able to interrogate outside of the radar antenna’s ability to broadcast.
  5. Not aircraft dependent...weapon dependent.
  6. I guess I’m missing your gripe here exactly, how is that broken, or a step backwards 3 months? We’ve never had a “friendly” desination outside of the all-knowing IFF which if you look around the forums, was not without it’s own issues and attributed to a lot of blue on blue due to it’s simplicity and lack of cues. You have a lot more now in terms of ID than you ever have, and without all the bugs that were there before...so how’s that going backwards exactly?!? Could have left it how it was where everyone was a hostile diamond until interrogated friendly, that sure worked out well on MP servers by the looks of things.
  7. Perhaps it’s your process that’s bugged and not the software’s? The odds don’t seem to be in your favor here. In this thread alone there are 5 posters saying it works fine and you are the only one reporting that it’s broken.
  8. I think that’s why it’s really not the advantage in ACM people really thought it would be initially and get exploited. If you go fast enough to sustain the higher G, your turn radias is going to be so large that someone flying the aircraft properly is still going to beat you if they are better than you anyway. Maybe you can gain a smidge on the initial break turn if you are both doing 500 knts over the other guy? If that was the case, maybe you shouldn’t be at the merge at that energy anyway if you intend on going into a horizontal turning fight to begin with?
  9. Wags was getting them(NCTR, M4, hostile symbology) in his video while in LTWS, so I think that is enough for both systems to interrogate the contact. As far as the SA NCTR print, that sounds valid...I havent looked at the track personally
  10. As with all the other bug reports...you need to post a track and not just pictures. The carat over the diamond denotes something else has locked and declared it hostile. It would appear you have additional donar aircraft somewhere in that mission. Without a track file...no way to tell. Just as with the other post I just posted in before this, LTWS does an automatic M4 interrogation. See Wag's video on LTWS.
  11. Watch Wag's video...Mode 4 interrogation is automatic with LTWS enabled. Is is needed, and is interrogated. No bug there based on what's in your post.
  12. With some of the things like the DSU-33 coming and the fuze settings that are already there, hopefully we start seeing some weaponeering effects show up, even if fairly simplified.
  13. I’ve seen info out there to suggest that the hog has been cleared to carry the tank in combat, the question becomes would they. Obviously they have decent loiter time already, but there could always be a time and a place.
  14. Yes to the above. Perhaps air source turned off or something on your fuel control panel not in the right place?
  15. As far the first post, I would either think it’s a bug or something swithology wise at fault...otherwise internals should be full until tank runs dry...unless you have some weird auto-trans stuff like the -15 has for CFT transfer which will keep fuel from transferrig from those tanks until main tanks drop to a certain level...in which case...cool...but not something I would think would be sound operation and a bit silly in this case.
  16. Don’t argue that, and it would coincide with what all the others do...but xfer rates into voided spaces aren’t going to roll that slow. You’d be waiting a day to transfer enough gas to do a leak and sqeak for example. The standpipes in the tanks aren’t that small.
  17. That’s not really how the majority or tank transfers work on fighters man, at least not USAF ones.

Older tech. They could “simulate” a host aicraft such as AWACS to brigg everyone into the same network, but time will tell if they go this route or not. Limitations like this are not reserved to just the sim, the real world stuff operates in the same fashion. A lot of stuff just doesnt “talk” to everyone else’s stuff.
  19. Ah, I’m following you now.
  20. Just a thought and I might be wrong on system ops here. Fuel quantity not powered by the battery so you will not get accurate fuel quantity till engine start. Due to running out of gas, the engine fuel lines are starved and need to be primed with gas before you can restart the motor. The above is logical in my head, but I’m not infront of a PC to test that.
  21. Interesting, maybe they were given additional info from SMEs, etc. I know Wags was the one to respond to that before, perhaps he will chime in and clarify. Edit: Just looked at Wag’s most recent video and they are not sync’d in his version so not sure ehat’s going on there if you say they are in the beta release.
  22. IFF interrogation is broadcast, you are correct. What happens beyond that is dependent upon aircraft capability. Some can correlate one or just a few tracks vs contacts, some can do more. The radar modes in which the aircraft can interrogate is also a factor, some need more limited radar modes than others. A transponder that is turned off would give a negative reply, yes. Notification are aircraft dependent, some will, some wont. Some give audible cues in the headset and some will give advisory cautions upon being interrogated. I dont personally know if the f/a-18 can, or if it will be implemented at some point.
  23. The “auto” placeholder has been gone since a few updates ago, so yes. Uninterrogated contacts now show as unknown and do not automatically change any longer.
  24. Pure speculation on my part, but I would assume that’s a large feature for both the JDAM integration as well as the PB mode of the HARM...which is why I think they might all be showing up together?
