They should. You should be able to store two separate TOO DMPIs to each bomb. Haven’t tested, but appears Santi has. Are the functions correct as it stands now...dunno
-
Going off what’s available out there, that’s not correct.
-
Not sure that would be a huge concern. The tail fin lanyard doesn’t pull the pin immediately, there’s time for separation. The -14 and -15E CFT BRU stations would suffer the same fate if it were. Judging by the pics out there with -82s loaded, the “could” would probably come down to the tail kit size vs the gear door clearance on the ground. Definetly don’t think you’d fit a -24 in there, probably not a -10, but maybe a -12? Then of course, in the real world, we have to worry about aerodynamic loads and all that other crap no one really considers when we think sims/games.

LTD/R Arm switch goes to safe when leaving Air-to-Ground mode
Rainmaker replied to v4ri4ble's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
OT, but supposedly they are eye-safe. :spam_laser: Never really had ambition to test it though. -
LTD/R Arm switch goes to safe when leaving Air-to-Ground mode
Rainmaker replied to v4ri4ble's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
That’s why we have a training laser. Not in game of course...but RL. -
Is that currently the case or are we speaking hypothetically?

I disagree with your assessment based on what he wrote in his second paragraph. Doesn't sound like he’s talking about the entire page to me.
-
Just keep in mind datalinked tracks not picked up by your own sensors aren't constantly updated at the DL is not a constant transmission. It's going to have a slower refresh rate. It's probably a bit more realistic than the previous versions that we have on other aircraft IMO.

[REPORTED] SSS Depress Chnges Point/Area Track
Rainmaker replied to Jetguy06's topic in Bugs and Problems
I've looked at this thread ten times probably, and it just downed on me that mine does the same as well. Matter of fact, I had my brain programmed to use the depress to switch between A/PTRK and not once have I ever used left/right SS to switch it. No special control setups, just standard DX assignments, using warthog. Depress is mapped to throttle china hat right, SS mapped to stick DMS buttons. -
I would think so, agree?
-
If it retained coordinates, that’s probably fine if it works that way, but shouldn’t it also remember to retain the ‘step’ function if it remembers you have all the stations boxed? The coodonate thing could be a bug, but I would think the QTY box function vs the ‘step’ function not agreeing any more after the start would be the more problematic issue?
-
That does perhaps sound kind of amiss at the moment. Nineline?
-
Just a thought, but I would think programming with ground power, then removing power from the aircraft to do an engine start would erase the programmed coordinates. I would tgink this would be an expected result though I’m not sure. If I’m misinterpreting your steps, sorry, that’s just the way I read them in the post. Or, are you saying the coordinates carried over, the STEP option did not even though the stations stayed selected?
-
Just a heads up, this is still completely porked...but easily reproduceable. Inadventantly started left engine, disenganged before starting, started right engine, started left as normal. AFCS dead. No response to stick movement, no ability to run AFCS bit. Same result as the other two tracks I posted before. I'm still not sure why this one hasn't been flagged as a bug yet?!? Dead AFCS.trk

[REPORTED] Inconsistent accuracy between GP bomb types
Rainmaker replied to vctpil's topic in Bugs and Problems
Completely different aero profile. Are you talking real life or the sim? -
-
Don’t believe so, I messed with it for a few minutes last night and it looked to me like 2 just replicated the same coordinates as 1. It’s so early in beta that I dunno whether to call it a bug or just not implemented yet. Always a chance it is possible, and I was screwing something up though.

[NO BUG] Missing Step Function in MPCD when armed with JSOWs
Rainmaker replied to Khegrow's topic in Bugs and Problems
Not tested, so you’ll have too. See above posts. Select the QTY first to regain access to the ‘STEP’ function, program weapons as before, deselect as desired for the number you want to employ at any given time. Extra steps, but should still work, in theory anyway. -

Same as my thoughts above. ‘Should’ work...in theory. :) -

So...new ‘feature’. :) Just not one we all want, but appears to be correct, so it is what it is. -

I see what you are referencing, And I agree with your statement. Add that to the info above about the QTY selection and it adds up...so it would appear that it’s ‘intentional’ changes by the devs. I would say that perhaps Wags may want to do another video or at least post something in the Hornet Update thread as I’m sure this is going to cause a lot of confusion and there will only be about a dozen more threads on the topic. Also, any chance of a higher priority release on the mission cart feature? I’m would think as a work-around you can box QTY, step through and hand-jam coordinates for each station, then unbox as needed if you don’t intend to ripple-release them in order to pre-plan your targets prior to getting there, but it’s going make it that much more painful to set up stores. Just a thought. -
[NO BUG] Missing Step Function in MPCD when armed with JSOWs
Rainmaker replied to Khegrow's topic in Bugs and Problems
I hope not by design. That kind of kills setting up preplanned targets except for jamming coords, dropping, jamming coords, dropping. That's the only way to get to the next station now. It kills multi-target quantity releasing...everything. That'd be a big bummer... -
Out of curiosity, did it follow along even when it lost the track, or did it pause movement and you had to scroll and redesignate? My thoughts, if it tracks, drops, and reacquires on it's own...well, that's a lot of what INR is. :book:

[NO BUG] Missing Step Function in MPCD when armed with JSOWs
Rainmaker replied to Khegrow's topic in Bugs and Problems
See the screenshot above. Right side, center pushbutton (I get confused trying to remember which are which on which aircraft). The 'step' option should be there to step through the stations...well, it's gone now. Same for JDAMS from what I have tried. There is no longer an option to step stations in PP mode for either. You are stuck on STA2 until you release it. -
[UNABLE TO REPRODUCE] TGP Coordinate Generation
Rainmaker replied to Harlikwin's topic in Bugs and Problems
Do you really want another 'auto bombing' thread? :D
