Thanks Deano. Just hoping someday we will have an easier way to do this swap.
-
No worries, this is the "wish list" thread. I think he was just posting about something he wished to see, and the rest of us chimed in. We realize that a lot of the items in this thread may never see the light of day
-
Not high on the list of priorities. But, at some point, it would be great to have the option to swap skins from the in-game options menu.
-
Yes! Just like many other features in DCS, (as stated earlier) the user has discretion to activate or use.

Unable to lock radar a2a target
MVS-Viper replied to MrTInc71's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Use TMS up to lock the target. -
Nicely done. My only suggestion is that you add smoke on the next one.

Radar elevation way too sensitive on button
MVS-Viper replied to raelias's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
It was fixed with the December 24th update. It is working well with the TM Cougar controller on my end. -
He has stated on other posts that he is working on one. Don't think he gets paid for his time and effort on these great guides - so let's be patient on this one. I'm sure that when he is done with it, it will be worth the wait.

Who is using a tm cougar hotas
MVS-Viper replied to BlacleyCole's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
The Range works well if you map the OSB buttons to the Cougar. Here is how I have mine set-up: Joystick File: I also use the CURVE command in the Joystick file for better control of the mid range movements. The command is: USE CURVE (RNG, -2) Macro File: In Game: -
Not sure that is possible. But that would be cool, although I would need a new controller. The one I am using only has two mappable rotaries. Using one for Antenna Elevation, and the other for Radar Range.

Who is using a tm cougar hotas
MVS-Viper replied to BlacleyCole's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Using the Cougar with the Foxy file I posted in the DCS User Files Section. The only modification is replacement pots using Cub Pilot's hall sensors, many years ago. Everything seems to be working smoothly, but I have not tried AA refueling to see just how sensitive the Throttle input is with the A/C. -
Thanks for the reply, and you are correct. There is not a button for this in the real jet. However, in the real jet is is easy to re-set the trim by moving the trim wheels on the left console back to center. Unfortunately, we don't have that luxury with a flight sim, so a single key press centering option would be a nice compromise.
-
Is there a way to re-set, or center the trim? If not can we add a re-set feature on a future update. Thanks.
-
Thanks Chuck - for all of your hard work. Looking forward to seeing the finished product when you are done.
-
Sounds good. Thanks all for your replies.
-
Mine actually spins in the CCW direction initially and then back to CW, but then never moves past 40%. Even with the throttle maxed out. No big deal, it does not make the game unplayable, just used to something different with other flight sims.
-
Seems like this gauge works in reverse of what it should be doing. Anyone else notice this?
-
Also check the throttle to ensure you are in fact at idle. When your throttle is at idle - what does your Engine RPM gauge read? If your RPM's are too high, your brakes will not stop you, and you will run out of runway. You should be below 70 RPM's at idle.
-
Thanks Rudel, I'll play around with your set-up. I found a work around for me. I mapped the Left OSB 19 , and Left OSB 20 to the Range Knob, and it seems to be working with with this script in my joystick file: Rem ------------------------------------ Rem MAN RANGE/Uncage Rem ------------------------------------ RNG 1 6 MAN_RNG_Knob-CCW MAN_RNG_Knob-CW ^ - FORCE_MACROS BTN T6 UNCAGE_Switch Rem Hold T6 in for 2 seconds to Eject DEF X42 DELAY (800) T6 BTN X42 Eject
-
Anyone able to map this knob (TM Cougar MAN RNG) to the MAN RANGE CW/CCW in the game? If so, what do your Cougar Joystick and Macro files look like? Thanks for any help.

HOTAS Cougar CPP profile for DCS F-16?
MVS-Viper replied to Geraki's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Lang, Can you also please send me a copy. Thanks. BTW, I attached a word document with all of the assigned keys for the early release version. Hope this helps, the list is easier to read as I removed all of the unassigned key commands. DCS F-16C Keyboard_Modified.doc
