The attached will add an F-16 in the hanger. A big thanks to Screamer 63 for the basics on how to create the file. sceneVR.zip

Starting the game in VR with Opencomposite (Emulating Steam VR), and Skatezilla's app stopped working after the last update. Still works fine with the Oculus option selected. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
MVS-Viper replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I just noticed that starting the game with SkateZilla's GUI app: I get much better frame rates in VR. Just flew an online mission with frame rates back up to 30 FPS. -
VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

Yeah, I'm noticing a decrease in frame rates as well. Especially on on-line servers. Down to 8 FPS, from an average of 30 FPS in the past. -
What countermeasures program do you use in the Viper?
MVS-Viper replied to Sneeki's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I use the the Dice Editor by Bailey: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312680/ And attached you will find a good set-up from the Falcon 4 days. The file was originally created by Neo. I am going to download the DTC for the F-16 by SFJackbauer. That looks interesting. Countermeasures by Neo.pdf -
Are you still using this set-up. And, just curious why not use Vsync? Thanks.

Anyone have a suggestion for an effective OpenComposite ini file. Here is what I have in mine, but not sure if I did this correct: logGetTrackedProperty=false forceConnectedTouch=on useViewportStencil=true threePartSubmit=off enableAudio=off haptics=on admitUnknownProps=false supersampleRatio=0.5 enableOverlays=true

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

Have you guys noticed a significant frame rate increase in VR with this file? -
Barta, Check your windows settings to make sure that the Windows OS is seeing your second monitor. If it is not being seen by Windows, plug and unplug the HDMI monitor cable to your video card. This should fix the problem. You will also probably need to re-set your MFD settings in the app. DCS should work properly now.

correct as-is TGP not working in Mariana Islands Map
MVS-Viper replied to MVS-Viper's topic in Bugs and Problems
Nineline, Thanks for the reply. I went back and replayed the mission. You are correct, I missed those two steps. Thanks for looking into it so quickly. -
The TGP screen is not working in the Mariana Islands map. Trak file is attached TGP_Inop_Marianas.trk

Pete, Are you using a second monitor? Or just one monitor.

investigating RTB and AI Wingmen

Hi Flappie, yes, it still happens when you use the radio you mentioned above. The trak file is attached. RTB Problem2.trk -
investigating RTB and AI Wingmen
MVS-Viper replied to MVS-Viper's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Hi Flappie and PMcG, @ PMcG Yes. it happens on easy comms. @ Flappie: I will try see the UHF picklist even comes up with the easy radio set-up. BTW, I'm traveling until 7/19, so my replies will be delayed until then. -
Not a permanent solution because I also think the MFD screen's are too small and difficult to read on the F-16. I hope this is addressed in a future patch. But, if you own a tablet, try this: The app that ihopi developed works well, and helps with the MFD problem in the Viper.

investigating RTB and AI Wingmen
MVS-Viper replied to MVS-Viper's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Wingmen seem to respond (to the RTB calls) better on the Caucasus map, but they don't always RTB. -

Thanks Flappie. Yeah, sorry that mission was kind of long, but it took the wingman a long time to get airborne. They are really dumb. Lol, then I kept trying to send him home. Thanks for checking on the Hornet, that was fixed - awesome. Right now (on a dynamic campaign), you are better off telling the F-16 AI wing man to go home and save the plane. Please see if you can fix the Viper's wingmen. The AI is really dumb. My wingie once crashed into me - while I was waiting to take off on the active. I heard "two rolling" and then bang. Thanks again. -

Hi Flappie, I'm talking about F-16's but it happens with the F-18's as well. The Persian Gulf map. In formation, we had just taken off. Enemy SAM's were far away. Airfields were in good shape. I had just taken off. I'll do a trak for you, but I've had this happen many times in the past with the F-16's and F-18's. -
The AI wingmen do not return to base when given the RTB command. Not a big deal right now, but if you are using the dynamic campaign - it does matter. AI wingmen tend to get shot down or bail out before returning to base. Each time they do that, the blue side of the campaign loses a jet unnecessarily. This should be fixed before DCS rolls out their dynamic campaign engine.
