Quite similar but I think it would be useful to have some functions that allow sending radio messages on a given frequency as a nice enhancement to the "message to coalition" and "message to all" actions for triggers. This could be also a trigger action instead. SendRadioMessage(freq, text, sound_file) It would allow for realistic implementation of mission control, ABCCC or even enhancement of existing entities as ATC, AWACS, another friendly flights or JTAC.

  6. From Ground Weapon Employment OI by paulrkiii: Is this feature implemented in the sim? Cannot get "T DTS" and "T XXXX" indications on HUD firing laser. Is there any way to select TGP as target elevation source?

  8. Negative. You can have two added symbols on TAD since 1.1.0.9. Mark Z symbol (white triangle) and last markpoint (square as usual). Dunno what happens when mark Z is also the last markpoint. Still got to try it.
  9. Little OT, but since 1.1.0.9, last markpoint is displayed in TAD along usual waypoints when in FLT PLAN mode and MISSION. Very handy!
  10. In order for this to be possible, the sim might give us an option to select a different sound device for all helmet related sounds. I think it would be a nice addition as long as it's not very hard to implement.
  11. Good work on that mission. Been flying with 6 squad mates from Escuadron 69 here in Spain and enjoyed a lot. However, we only managed to rescue pilot 1. Hope pilot 2 is still in good condition tonight on our 2nd take. Many thanks again!!
  12. Interesting. It'd be great if we could manually select JTAC control type between 1, 2 or 3. Actually, JTAC type depends on location of enemy and friendlies, but the logic is a bit obscure. It is not clear for me when JTAC will be using each type. Specifically, I've been able to set up JTAC to use types 2 and 3, but never got type 1.
  13. Nice, interesting pics. Many thx! Looking for differences with the sim cockpit, what strikes me most is the panel just below the throttle. It looks like here we have an upgraded/more modern VHF/AM radio.
  14. Absolutely, it works. Try to lock a mover, set SPI and slave MAV. Seeker head tracks the moving target.
  15. Opening the refueling door doesn't disengage EAC, AFAIK. It just disengage GUN PAC if enabled. Try to put GUN switch to SAFE or disengage MASTER ARM and you will not notice that pitch change when opening the door.

  17. Yes, though very fun, gun is not the weapon of choice for SEAD role. I find easy to kill SA-19 and SA-15 with mavs.
  18. I have had both cards installed in my PC. While framerates are roughly the same, nVidia's numbers are more stable and gameplay is definitely smoother. This is with my 6950 unlocked as yours. Also, check this thread. Don't want to start another nVidia vs ATI war, but as you can see nVidia seems to be the best option for DCS titles. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70906
  19. You are re-enabling the radio item as soon as host dies. Try to re-enable as soon as host gets airborne again as Druid said using a unit inside zone or unit alt above condition.
  20. Just my two cents. I don't understand why we are faced with this question. There are many bugs in the sim as 1.1.0.8 to even think of adding canopy scratches. There are priorities and at this stage, scratches shouldn't be on the list at all.
  21. Well I think this dispersal under fire thing is not very challenging, specially for movers. Once you hit the first vehicle, they disperse and stop. Way to easy to locate the remaining targets with TGP since they don't go too far. Also, as default value is true, it changes all missions already created and we are forced to review them so they work as expected. Perhaps ED should have set dispersal under fire = false by default. This way we have the new option without affecting previous missions.
  22. Agree with post above. Consider a GTX 560ti since DCS crearly favors nVidia GPUs. You will get the same performance or even better. Also 69xx users are experiencing annoying graphic glitches like white flashing boxes and sun flickering with HDR enabled. Thus I wouldn't consider AMD/ATI right now. Obviously, this thoughts are centered around use with ED's software which I care. Dunno about other games or purpose.
  23. Thx, last time I did AAR, tanker initiated the turn suddenly so it was difficult to remain connected. Perhaps it was the mission or FPL of the tanker. Will check later. Thx again.
  24. I wonder if the tanker should not warn receiver before entering turn. I recall this feature from Falcon if i'm not mistaken. I think it would be an useful feature for future patches.
