I also get a major performance hit when looking at towns (drop down into the low 20s) by Batumi (using a quickstart takeoff mission as a benchmark test). Turning shadows off does help but this was not an issue at all for me in 1.5.3.

You are stalling the airframe it sounds like. Make sure you are setting trim appropriately for takeoff and then after you clean up she requires a decent amount of nose down trim to maintain normal climb out. The rotate airspeeds for takeoff based on your ac's load are listed in the manual (found on BST website).

There I was.... rolling in to bomb a bridge being guarded by 2 x ZSU-23s and I took fire which knocked out my right engine fuel cell. Right engine down, left still go. Right engine fuel pump dead. Air Data Computer toast. Right engine fuel cell completely dry. I leveled out away from target with the right engine windmilling at 20-25 rpms, pulled the right engine throttle all the way back to its back stop (right shirt + home), enabled fuel engine crossfeeding, hit the engine start button on the console and then put the right engine throttle back on... It lit up right away. Landed safely back at Sukumi with about 600lbs in the left fuel cell and both engines still working. Loving the F-5E BST. Amazing flights so far!!!

I put my rudders on a curve of 30, NWS is much more manageable that way.

Does anyone know which setting sharpens up the cockpit shadows? Nvidia or in game? I've tried adjusting both but my cockpit shadows are distractingly bad currently.

Nerfed Flight Model I just got back into the Gazelle after being out of town for a few weeks and with the latest update I feel like the flight model has been nerfed. I really actually liked how responsive it was before now the bird feels almost scripted and not as life-like. Just my two cents, and no I am not a real life helo pilot. Otherwise, the L is very cool, love that cannon.

Seems like the Pats system won't shoot more than once at me. Tried it with multiple launchers and with just one but it seems only to want to shoot one missile at me and then give up shooting. Mission file attached. F-15C vs Patriot System.miz

There are better ones out there apparently, but CH pedals for the price and quality have been extremely satisfying for me. They make doing gun runs in fast movers or hovering in helos a piece of cake. Enjoy your new set!

Just curious if there is anyway to get the polished aluminum look back to the skins. I have all of Bo Niddles F-86 skins but they all look pretty gray now.

I was just talking about how this needs to be implimited last night on the 104th server. +100 War Clouds with IL2 always had this. Also if you got killed more than 5 times you got kicked for about 10 minutes.

I agree for the most part. I like being part of the beta process but for the final release I want all the things you have listed. Not a big campaign person myself so I can live w/o it but certainly having a detailed complete manual is a must for the final release of the product. F-5 this weekend perhaps?

If making a strong bank I add collective and as I do I try and keep the top of the string bar on the same place on the horizon. If done properly you shouldn't be losing speed or altitude. Note, this takes a lot of practice. I worked on it and landings for a few hours last night and I only nailed it 2/5 times probably.

The pedals are great. They are nice and big which is important: no searching with your feet for them.

I bought the Flight Pedals, Pro Throttle, and Fighterstick from CH Products back in 2002 while living in Colorado and after 14 years of loyal service they are finally starting to fall apart. They really held up well to be honest and I was not easy on them. I joined the Army back in 2004 and they went with me all over for years while I moved around with the big green. They got dropped, knocked around, thrown into the back of my car and into moving boxes but they always continued to function. Only recently did they begin to fail. The first to go was the left break on my pedals two years ago, but I made do by just using the right one. A few months ago the right one stopped working too and I got sick of reaching for the keyboard to use the breaks and my wife was kind enough to buy me new ones for my birthday recently. Yesterday, the throttle started to go: all kinds of slider axis spikes: kept blowing the turbine in Polychops Gazelle because of it (amazing job they've done btw). The fighterstick is still going strong and I thought about pulling the throttle apart but after 14 years I figure CH has served me well so I just bought replacements for both off Amazon. It'll be nice having all new gear and I certainly recommend them for anyone who is interested in a nice durable HOTAS set that isn't going to set you back as much say the TM's Warthog.

Completely agree. This one is a huge winner. I was frustrated for the first 2 hours of this one until I read Chuck's Guide on it. I followed his control recommendations and once I tweaked them a little further I haven't been able to stop flying the Gazelle. Its a home run and just as fun for me as the A-10C was when that one came out. Well done Polychop, she is a homerun. Also, way to stay in touch with the community and give feedback too. You guys are setting the bar pretty high with this one. S!

I can confirm the same issue in 1.5.3. I put together a mission starting at Batumi in an F-86 rampstart. Just sitting in the cockpit with nothing on, I get 45-60 fps looking all around. Same mission but in the Gazelle and I get 19-22 fps. No idea why. Another note, if I place my Gazelle at one of the Russian airfield like Nalchek then the FPS is back up in the 50s and 60s. Any thing down by the Batumi area though runs like a cement mixer for me but only for the Gazelle. The other modules don't seem to have the same issues. Strange.
