  1. Good to know. Thanks.
  2. Not sure if this should go in a wish list or not but I just discovered the afterburner detent for the Hornet. Looks like the F-5E has the same (fingerlifts) but there is no option (check box) in the options menu to enable them. It would be a nice feature to add to the F-5E to keep from inadvertently going into afterburner.
  3. I really like it. I don't have a physical detent on my throttle either but I'm already getting used to having the finger lifts mapped to my throttle on a button and using it when necessary. Nice feature.
  4. I've never had anything other the CH Products gear. My first set lasted 12 years at which point one of the breaks on the pedals stop working. I passed on my whole set up to a buddy who was just getting into DCS and then replaced my old stick, throttle, and pedals with the same. Their throttles require regular software calibration but they work great and have been extremely reliable. Entire set up (CH Pro Throttle, Fighterstick, and Pedals) should run about $400 if you buy from Amazon. The 'fighterstick' is a replica of the F-16 / A-10C stick.
  5. Now that the Hornet has it. I would really appreciate the ability to remove pylons from any and all aircraft and have those changes reflected in the flight modeling. I know its a small thing, but drag is drag and having more of it generally is a down side on fuel economy and in maneuvering during ACM. Thanks.
  6. A little more on Freezes and CTDs Just uploading the latest crash. Again, it happened after loading up the sim for a flight after just turning on my PC. No track file included this time as the sim crashed right as I reached the cockpit. It doesn't always happen that way though, sometimes I get a few minutes of flight in before it freezes and then CTDs. I also get crashes occasionally after splashing a bandit: always appears to be meta shader ERRORs in the crash logs. Mission and crash log attached. I have run repair a few times now, let windows manage my paging file, and have all the latest drivers and updates for Windows and my GPU. Hope this helps. Thanks. EDIT: In this post I had previously stated that these CTDs were strictly an F/A-18C module issue, but it appears that is not true. Looks to be more like a latest patch issue with ERRORs from the Metashader dominating my crash logs and happening while using other modules as well. Again this always happens after just turning on my PC for the first time, and then much less after. dcs.log-20180616-073446.zip F-18C Vs Su-33.miz
  7. Freeze and CTD I've been getting more freezes since the latest update. I had a similar problem when the Harrier came out. The first flight of the sim for the day after just turning on my PC always freezes and then CTDs. I had about 6 freezes to CTDs yesterday. I have the latest drivers for the GPU from EVGA. dcs.log-20180615-230101.zip DxDiag -Azazel.txt LastMissionTrack.trk
  8. I was aware of that but in this situation the radar, at least visually, stayed locked up on the other bandit.
  9. In a two vs one scenario with two MIG-21s at 20000 ft. After firing on one of the Migs, from about 10 miles out, the missile tracks the the wrong bandit even though I had the one next to it clearly locked up. Track and mission files are attached. F-18C Vs Mig-21s.miz Wrong Bandit Tracked.trk
  10. Still waiting for a fix on this one. Its a pretty crucial piece of hardware for the bird. Will it get fixed?
  11. Good stuff. Thanks for the reply gents.
  12. I looked in the manual for information on the RAID switch but couldn't find anything. My guess is this isn't implemented yet but what does it do when in AA mode? Zoom in on the area of the TDC of the radar screen? I know what it would do in AG mode: expands the FOV for the TGP screen.

    Congrats ED

Its by far their best yet. I just discovered the G limit override feature. This bird is awesome!
  14. I also can confirm this problem. Was working fine before the patch. Now no matter what I do it drops bombs in pairs or at 3 at a time.
  15. In the Hornet, I'm generally between 40-50 fps in the quick missions which is great considering my processor is about 8 years old now. It is dummy overclocked to 3.7 GHz. The sim is running very smooth: no stuttering. Some shimmer still. Looks great overall!
  16. Awesome! Many thanks for the reply and explanation.
  17. I noticed that when taking off from the carrier the engines do not go up to full burner before the cat fires. Only after the plane is off the deck does this happen currently. Probably a known issue but I figured I mention it. I noticed it in Ralfi's video first and then confirmed it in the sim just now.
  18. Awesome to have some real hornet driver feedback! Many thanks.
  19. Ahh, I was missing the U part. Many thanks brother!
  20. After first boltering, I caught my first 3 wire on my second attempt. Amazing job ED, the F/A-18C is looking and feeling great! Is there a way to hook back up to the catapult currently? I'm having no luck.
  21. I will also be "very sick" for the next 72 hrs at least.
  22. Will the Hornet be initially available in 2.5 Stable or only Open Beta? I would like to only have one version of the World on my rig at this point but still have early access to the Hornet. Is that going to be possible?
  23. Thanks BIGNEWY. My setup is pretty much only used for DCS: nothing else is running outside of DCS when I fly. I've partaken in the beta/alpha process since A-10C got released and this is the first time that I've been really stumped on CTDs. In the past it has always been something that more or less clearly triggered a CTD (F-10, explosion, changing views, etc). To be clear, I have an older processor and motherboard but the sim looks AMAZING. I get 40-60 FPS at all times with most settings set to high. The crashes are part of the process of course though and I'll keep testing and posting them as they occur.
