I was interested into how the missile would fly if it's march engine switch off after 15-20 seconds of fly. And there is almost no difference, but engine allows to draw nice incoming flypath like MIRV tail just for gameplay purposes -

I have seen a mod that makes some enhancement for SCUD precision, so this parameter is definitely editable by users BTW, there are some variants how to make trajectory more realistic based on current nonSCUD cruise flight model: 1) As CH made different loadouts for ships, the same could be made for different Iskander/HIMARS ranges. There is no problem in making a realistic steep trajectory for a certain range, problems start when we try to use the same config for different ranges. That is, the mission creator will be able to choose the planned firing range in advance in the editor, this is not very convenient, but it will provide a realistic representation of the missile firing 2) The other way is to put several weapon configs into one unit and to make a script that will choose what config would be "fired" in realtime, depending on target range. But completely dunno how to do this. -
Question to the developers of the game, mods or users. Need to edit the trajectory of the SCUD missile (for MOD), how can I do it? Why was it encrypted? How did the creators of the game calculate the trajectory parameters for each distance? I doubt that anyone will answer, but let this question be, because now the possibilities to make mods of ballistic missiles are completely limited

So I finally want to rewrite SCUD scripts (without serious math knowledge but via experiments), could please anybody help with explanation how to implement SCUD missile scheme into Iskander (if CH gives a permission), and after that I will procced some experiments to change range and trajectory. -

Cool. The first thing I want to see are these missiles interceptable or not. BTW M270 DCS missiles are invisible for SAMs. Maybe Totchka-U and Iskander are under development? -
Player and AI cant control pitch and roll of the aircraft. Do you know any solution?

A bit more testing for future versions: YJ-18 shoots at 350 km range target, but loses speed after 320 km and sinking. YJ-18 now often has incorrect roll angle. -

It seems that "ballistic" missile reaches some boosted height and then flies straight to target (non ballisticaly, with constant angle). So it is possible to make upper point of trajectory higher by decreasing t_acc parameter. Max H is 100 km, higher missiles detonate. After that simulation looks more realistic (black tracjectory on the scheme below), and being engaged by ABM missiles more often. null -

interesting, cool and powerful, big thanks. As usual, cant wait to leave here some improvement notes - left wing of CJ-10 cruise missile has transparent textures. - YJ-21 ballistic missile has low entry angle and easily being intercepted by any SAM missiles. But SM-3 attacks it only when Tico or Burke is on the midcourse of ballistic trajectory. So ships dont use SM-3 for self defence. - can YJ-21 attack "pinpoint" land targets in future versions? Or we can use some invisible land ship unit as target, for example.
