Yeah, if you know where to look you'll spot the launch. I didn't spot it in the video though, I saw the white smoke-trail that gave away the location rather than the initial flash. But if I knew where I would look, I would probably see the flash aswell. I'll play around some in game and try to look into this for fun. What launches are visible and during what time is it most visible. EDIT - After watching the video a second and third time, knowing where to look. I take back my statement. The flash is very very visible. Don't know why I missed that.

Very nice video, the smoke is clearly visible in the video as well. And with higher-res and without the compression it's even more visible. ALl though the initial launch wasn't that big. It's not noticeable, but at the same time, I don't think it is. It looks big and mighty upclose with a camera, but far away in an airplane, I don't think you see that much of it. At night you might see the light-source from the missile burn though.

I don't mind it how it is now, since I seldom see the launches as they often come from my 3 o'clock or six o'clock, seldom from head on. I think that a static would be best, as it is now it's rather static to one type no matter the condition. I don't mind, I can see the trails of some. But I am never against improvements :)

I feel that in lo-mac, once the source of the smoke goes away, the smoke it self vanishes within seconds. Like 1-2 seconds. It doesn't slowly fades away in lo-mac. For example, if you have a plane at 8500m, this plane will cause trails, these trails are visible for, don't know... A very long while atleast, once the plane goes under 8000 meters the trail will vanish within seconds. I feel that this white cloud (if you can call it that) produced by the S-300 (S-300 video from above link) that doesn't happen in lo-mac. The smoke trail is there, but not that kind of bloom of smoke once the missile ignites. I haven't seen a real launch since (except for videos) I'm in no way close to an army or anything, I'm just a student. I got a german movie of HAWK and Patriot launches (100Mbyte or more) and the smoke the patriot produce should be fairly visible from a distance. The HAWK on the other hand seem to fade quite fast, or go more transparent but the trail from the hawk is clearly visible for atleast 30 or more seconds (there's no longer clip than this and the trail still is there once it cut) Imho, the dust kicked up shouldn't be that big. Many of the video's I've seen have been in a desert or similar, hence sand is kicked up. In lo-mac almost everything is on grass or tarmac, this shouldn't create the same ammount of dust-cloud as sand. But like I said, I'm just a student, the only information I got this based on are from movieclips and a few images.

TIR not working? Remove the trackir.ini file (or what it's called) from "\Lock On\Input" Make a backup of it though, and place it back there if it didn't set it straight. I was dumb enough to forgot to make a backup... I don't live the way I learn :D

This happens way too often for me when I send out AI to do ground attacks, they go for similar targets and the leader gets a rocket in the rear, and to be honest, it's not an effective clusterbomb. The efficiency/price is too high for it to be usefull in any way.

heh, I've heard of friendly fire, but that fifth entry is just silly. That's taking it to the next level!

That is one really nice video! I wasn't planning on getting 1.2 but that movie changed my mind! The speed was great too, I downloaded usign my entire bandwith from the site, so it only took around a minute to download the big version. And if you know the pilot, tell him he's one hell of a pilot in my eyes :)

I'd like updated models and textures of some weapons, even if they are made by a third party. It would be pretty nice with a weaponpack released, not adding new weapons but updating some, like the LGB's and other models that could use an update in their looks.

it's not really dedicated, it's just a host that flies that just sit and do nothing. it's "dedicated", not in it's full meaning :p

I think my nick has the worst reason ever. I needed a nick, I scanned my room and took two things, beat them together and WHAM! I had "Nasder" If I only could remember what I used for items to get the nick it would be a bit nicer. Anyways, Nasder is a silly nick, but it's not the nick who makes the person :)

22, going strong from Northern Sweden

I'd say the Su-27 and the Su-25T. They are both really nice to fly. The Su-27 is so gracefull, it's like a swan, but can kick your butt if you're not careful. The Su-25T is fun to fly, it's a challenge just to fly it in a nice manner for now. I'm still trying to learn this brick with wings. It's a joy to fly, and it has a feeling no other plane has. But it's still a close race with the A10 a step behind. They are both fun to fly in their own way.

I have experienced stutter once... I turned off "on access scan" on my antivirus and the stutter was gone. But this was not online. I am yet to try online out, need to find a nice person/crew who have 1.1 and does only coop.

Too me, that looks like dirt to me even though it's suppose to be rust. I feel that it makes the plane feel more used. I don't know how they do it in real life during wartime if they clean the planes as much as they do in peace time. But I can say is this, I like it more than the planes that look brand new without a scratch or dirt.

I like flying all planes except the MiG29. Don't know why I don't like that plane. I find the A10, Su-25 and Su-25T all really fun to fly. I'm a mudmover, never really liked A2A much, that's why escorts exist :)
