  1. I just took a cap I had at home and glued a reflective dot on that. Yes, I glued it in place! now it ain't falling off! *Muhahahaaaa*
  2. Make sure missile efficiency is set to either 50% or 100% this might work. This is a bug that is from 1.02. I experience this in the 1.1 Demo aswell as 1.02 :/
  3. F4 Phantom, - two seater, won't be done. F14 Tomcat - See above F16 Falcon - has MFD, won't be done. F/A 18 Hornet - See above F117 Stealth Bomber - See above Tornado - Two seater B 2 Bomber - +2 seater Easy as that. ED has said that no plane with MFD or more than one seat will be made, or did I get it all wrong?
  4. Just to straighten it out a bit, you didn't buy the game, you bought a license to use the game they own.
  5. There is no "abandonware" to be honest. Even though it's "abandoned" it still got an owner. The company that releases the game owns it until they say "hey, let's put this up for grabs for everyone." And so far, that is very very rare. GTA (the first one) is a freeware now though.
  6. Re: Odd 1.1 problem Check your settings for you axis. I had this aswell, I can't remember wich axis was bound to wich, but the only axis I now have is pitch, roll, rudder and thrust. The rest of the ingame options for the axis' are empty. See if that helps
  7. That MICA looks like a cheat... But the fuel tank I don't know... I have downed people on my own server with my ECM pod according to the briefing, but it was a AIM-9. That fueltank could be a misscommunication between server and client. But I don't know, I find it funny though. Think of the accuracy! Dropping fueltanks! *THUD* Splash one!
  8. Re: performance enhancements? I have slower cpu than you and I am not sure about the graphics card, but I have no problems with the demo what so ever. I get real good fps in the demo, except when I get close and personal with my gun, but the same happens in the earlier versions. So I am not sure why you can't play it on your computer. Mine is not overclocked, or modded or anything. I have the same settings in the demo as I do in lo-mac 1.02
  9. The problem by default is not the input, but that it's bound to the wrong thing. Bind the throttle to throttle or thrust ingame, can't remember the exact name. I need to change this every time I reinstall lo-mac because it's bound to like left engine too so it's strange in a way.
  10. Re: Throttle bug in 1.1? Check your settings for your throttle (in game), this is messed up as default.
  11. Yeah, I've seen it too, but it dissapeared a day or two ago... it was a post by "admin1" that was made a sticky.
  12. To be honest, they never had a release date, it was and is just an estimate, an optismitic view. And sadly it has taken more time than they planned or wished for. They don't hold it in because they want to, something has come up and they need to straighten it out. So to set it straight, they never said they would release it in january or february, they hoped they'd have it out by then, but they didn't. So be it. It's their first release, and they could have used "soon" instead or anything like that, but then again, if they used soon. How many would nag about when "soon" is? Atleast we know it's close, they're discussing the copyprotection and testing that out. After that it's the distribution, mirrors and such. They might do this now aswell. I'd rather wait a month longer and have a working protection and distribution than have it up front right now and see the site go down.

I often think the other way around, but I seldom fly at "12.00" without clouds... 8 out of 10 times I will have to use cockpit lights to be able to read the dials flawlessly independent of wich way I fly. And even if I do fly at 12.00, my cockpit changes lightning a little depending on wich way I fly, maybe not realtime. But it changes. But then again, if it was realtime... That would hog even more fps! So I don't know, maybe you have your screen to bright, or I have mine set too dark? It's a little like every screen have a different way of showing colors, brightness and so. They work the same way, but they have all different settings so to say. It's a bit hard, so I don't think it's software related 'cause I don't have a very bright cockpit.
  14. it's planned, not released. There is a different. The date is an optimistic view not a direct release date. It's released when it's released :)
  15. In Sweden, there is such a law now. A software may not be installed on my computer without my permission. All though I think it would be hard to take legal actions against ED for such a thing. I don't really mind at all, but there is a law for it in some countries. I believe this is a miss. They could have taken five more minutes and added it to the EULA or readme file. But like I said, I don't really care. I haven't noticed anything wrong so far, and that 0.002 fps difference it might do while running in the background is nothing I notice :)
  16. So can anyone clarify this. I am a bit confused. Can I only install 1.1 three times and then I need to buy it again? Or can I upgrade my computer three times before I need to buy it again? Or can I get a new key once these three times are done, like I can with windows XP, I just call a free support line and get a new key in less than 10 minutes (if there is no line). I will buy the game, but I will feel very ripped off if I buy a software I am not allowed to use when/if I change computer often. Computers break and get old and parts need to be replaced...

  18. It's obvious that the F-18 would increase sales in the Western market. But I have to say that I don't want many flyables. I'd buy the 1.2 if it have better AI, better flightmodels for the planes already in the game and fixes than another plane. But like is stated, any two seater or a plane with MFD (or MDF, not sure) can't be made due to limitations in lo-mac. So if a F-18 were to be made, it would take a long long time based on a modified lo-mac engine. And since they don't have a publisher in the west I think getting the money and getting the distribution needed for that can be really really hard. I am really happy with the game in the 1.02 state and the 1.1 is a major leap forward. I am yet to see what 1.1 brings and from there see what 1.2 might bring. But like I said. I'd be more happy with updated flightmodel, better AI (both air and ground) than get another plane to fly. 9 planes (with SU-25T) is more than enough, I can fly them all (except the SU-25T since 1.1 ain't out), but I haven't mastered one yet.

That bug with the autopilot has got to be the most annoying thing in flight sims ever. i'm talking about the one where if you disengage the AP when in NAV mode, and you are not level, the aircraft will become unstable and have a tendency to follow that last attitude. I am amazed its been there since Flanker 2.00 and still hasn't been fixed. - I get this, but is easily avoided, just enter any a2a or a2g mode and the plane will straighten out with autopilot engaged. 2. GAI-what's the deal here? Do they take off once somebody from the other side does, or once they are detected? Pretty useless the way its coded now I think... - They will launch once you've been detected, I can't figure out if it's by radar or withint a certain distance from any enemy target. I need to test this some more. GAI is nice in A2G missions, they won't be in air and engage you directly. 3. Russian cockpit warnings in western birds-the other annoying thing (think BEEP_BEEP_BEEP) that has always ruined my F-15 experience. Guys, it's not so hard to get ahold of the proper sounds and stick them in there!Wink - This is not a bug, it's meant to be that way. The beep beep beep is what can save your life if you know how to use the RWR. 4. Trim and wobbly behaviour...SOmetimes it's there, other times it isn't. My constant reaction has always been "I don't get it", and unfortunately I still don't. What forces the F-15 into a sudden, radical pitch up or down tendency beats me... - I get this only when I forget to trim, the F-15 is an automatic trimmer, no trim is needed with this plane, unless you use autopilot or alt hold. It doesn't wobble unless I am too fast with the stick.
  20. That spinning rotating view and zoom that won't stop. I have that, but only, I repeat only when the game is paused, once I unpause the game all is good. The SU-25 is a joy to fly, the balacing, landing, aaaw man. Why am I here writing? I could be flying it! be back later? I need to check that one bomb drop thing. I saw in a "demo" that came with the demo that the A-10 dropped four rockeyes, not 1-2-3-4 but two pairs. I need to check that again. I had a bit to drink when I checked it so I don't trust what I saw to 100%.

I just found one little error in the manual page 195 "Landing gear is deployed over 250 knots - Gear Down" "Landing gear is not deployed and player is on ILS final approach - Gear up" Shouldn't those two be switched? Gear up at over 250 knots, and gear down on final approach? Great manual, I'm going back to reading more now :)
  22. A rather good question. I have one that will fit into this aswell I think. In 1.02 and earlier the "flightmodel" for AI were rather strange, they always flew with 0 pitch when straight while I had a pitch of let's say 7 to maintain my alltitude due to low speed. This does not include my wingmen, they were kind of glued to me, they flew like I flew, the same AOA and so on. But other AI flights always flew pitch 0 when straight, even a fully loaded SU-33 flying close to 300 (not knots). So the AI SU-33 flew straight but had it's canards pointing slightly downwards kind of if the AOA was calculated but not followed. Is this only happens to me, and if not, will it be updated in 1.1?
