so do you know for a fact that it is only about money or are you basing this on the rumors. To me its about breach of contract and honestly I would think less of ED and any other company that didnt hold themselves to the contracts and pursued legal actions on those who breached them. If you had a contract with a construction company to build a house in brick and they build it in carboard boxes, of course you would withhold payment as they are in breach of contract. the workers are likely not at fault but will not be paid due to actions of management. should you just continue to pay the workers then or ?
-
you assumed I was referring to RB and ED but was talking in general terms, However, Im confident, that ED would not withhold funds to any 3rd party dev without good reason and proper legal grounds. the ramifications of this would not be beneficial to anyone. I have not seen anything about with holding money from ( assuming you mean HeatBlur ) but again, if the company ( in this case ED ) believes there is a breach of agreement, this is normal practice. these things will then be resolved in court. In any case, the consumer, is completely without any influence in regards to the outcome and to suggest that ED should weaken their own position by allowing the continued breach of contract is a bit silly.

so by your analogy, guy steals your car, he claims he didnt so he should just continue to drive it until it gets settled in court ? companies have a responsibility to reduce their liability so if there is an outstanding or a contract breach, they have various means like withholding payment ect to reduce the liability to said company. If you continue to allow the breach to happen the court could rule that by doing so, you have accepted the breach and thus cant reduce damages and/or liability
-
legal matters and contract distputes can drag on for years depending on the complexity, so I wouldnt hold my breath that we see anything until the fall. and that is only if a settlement is made. if its going to court it depends on the court availability ect ect.

chances are there are no shareable news yet, summer months, holidays and all.

I think things will improve when vulkan comes into play. the filesize limitation has been mentioned several times by ie ORBX but I recall having read that this will be fixed under vulkan. I may be wrong. another thing is if you make it to super detailed a lot of people will complain that their sim is a slide show. a balance needs to be found.

have you been spying on my xmas wishlist ?
-
yes and no they are not very different because, if you actually work in an airline, then Im sure you know that the change required was in no way anticipated by any in the service sector so there was no contingency plan for this. if you run a RnD company or development company or am a contractor ect, you know and anticipate that there is product development ect which will take time before it amounts to anything or lulls in production/work ect. Dude this is common business sense and Im sure you are just playing dumb to prove a point the ED is the devil or something of the sort.
-
I think you have no idea how airlines are run but here we are. There are vast differences in running an airline vs running a development company. such as share holders ect.

A company should have reserves yes, for a period depending on the company revenue and expenses its normal. How long a period is based on the type of activity but for some companies 12-24 months is not considered unusual . plenty of products go through a development phase, you think people worked for free ? the other option is to have devs to on minimal time and let them perform other jobs. Again as I read it the situation is entirely brought on by RB themselves.
-
Not sure why people are hating on ED here, their contract is with the entity RB. it has been RBs own decision to stop paying their devs. if RB was interested in solving this, they could have continued dev albeit on a lower capacity and once resolved the update would be ready to be sent out immediately after. not paying their contractors is 100% a RB decision.

Helicopters do use autopilot, like all the time. unless you are in the tiny ones. SAS and SCAS are basic submodes of autopilot systems. for OP. pedals are required during takeoff/flight/landing due to this Newton guy and his 3rd law. yes a system could be designed to counteract the input but it would have to factor in, load, wind, density ect so not as easy as it sounds and it would add unnecessary weight to the aircraft limiting payload. the AP modes are still a work in progress and honestly I rarely use them and hand fly the bird.
-
probably a good idea and make it pinned and closed so you can refer to this at all times. then of course as more information comes to light ED can update.
-
So I was told and posted this below.
-
but still under RB. not knowing the RB constellation Id assume (and yes I know the thing about assumptions) that RB as an entity would get paid for maps and planes. Then its RBs decision on how the deliver the funds to plane devs vs map devs. Hence why something is rotten... Not taking sides but something about when pointing a finger 3-4 fingers point back ect. But yes, on behalf of the users being stuck, some clarity would be nice but probably wont happen for awhile
-
Also seems odd that the planes from RB have died but judging from another post further up the SA map is being developed. * Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. (state of Denmark being a metaphor for RB in case it wasnt clear) for those who have any of the planes, I hope they will sort their issue out soon
-
by that standard the Sania map has also been abandoned. over 12 months and not one update. I dont have RB products but looking at the glaring obvious thing. other 3rd party devs have been paid, we assume this as no other products havent been updated in a long while aside from Sanai, so the logic here should dictate that RB did something to make ED withhold payment. Not taking sides, just looking at things objectively.

not always the case but cant say for the Apache.
-
the OH58D utilize a high level proprietary autopilot system. its called STS interface. in more common tongue its referenced to as the Seat T Stick interface, its highly adaptable and yet incredibly stupid all at the same time. I am looking forward to the Kiowa and considering Casmo's comments I think it will be a close contender to the apache.
-
its quite possible if you are flying high and set LOAL to high, you then give the missile a higher trajectory and can thus cover a longer distance. George on the other hand will not fire at anything past 8km
-
thank you for the update, I hope to be proven wrong. although I urge you to update and use the roadmap so it reflects the actual status.
-
@BIGNEWY I know you made an update a few months ago but it would really be appropriate if ED pushed @OnReTech to at least fix some bugs on this map and then focus on further development and with a hard deadline thats fairly close. e.g July update or something of the sort. Additionally @OnReTech should update the roadmap as I have mentioned before with actual achievable goals rather than go radio silent. Ive said it before but will say it again. People will generally accept a lot if there is open communication around issues and delays in process. but say nothing and people will assume that they have been scammed. And this is where a lot of users are right now, thinking @OnReTech is a scam.

no apache, not going to lie disappointed as it was mentioned that the C scan and link ect would be in the next (this ) update

gotcha, how far away were stationary targets vs moving targets, the most common misunderstanding Ive seen is that people are convinced the stationary targets can be seen past 6km
