  1. You're probably right! Good catch!
  2. Yea well, my illustration doesn't help much without knowing how to read the descriptions. :P
  3. That's true these days but im not sure we always did. :-) I found this old chart. :-)
  4. I'm thinking a face plant is likely! :P
  5. Yes, except for some of the most obvious parts of the instrumentation. :-)
  6. Alright that makes sense, so by that logic i assume by the keypad one the right that ther computer can handle a maximum of 10 waypoints? Or is BX a variable switch?
  7. Theres a blue button in the top left labeled "new thread" Awesome video guys! :D By the way i can't be the only one traying to get my head around the logic of pressing 9 to select waypoint 2?! xD
  8. Viggen rearm refuel repair changes? Keep in mind that the Viggen was always rearmed by a team of conscripted (19 year old) soldiers that had around 3 months of training when it came to aircraft maintenance.
  9. Like a lot of swedish cold war hardware, it is purpose built to defend sweden from an invasion from the east, and the fact that a country as small as sweden can afford to develop hardware this advanced is impressive in it's own right. The reason we swedes are so fond of it is because it was such a common sight in the sky when we grew up, it's "our" fighter, just like the Draken and Tunnan before it.
  10. Nice to hear, i know we are all looking forward to some light reading! :book:
  11. Why would it not be, seems like a pretty significant thing to leave out.
  12. Shipping is included in the price (or free, if you will).
  13. The AIM 120 wasn't used i in sweden until the 90's, the deal with the Swiss was in the 70s. :)
  14. Imagine going along in your volkswagen and suddenly having a Viggen comming at you at full speed on the street! Full story: This is what Anette had to say about the incidents a few years later: It should be added that the road he landed on was actually a short strip to be used during war, but it had not been closed of for this particular exercise. :P http://imgur.com/a/qYZ4h
  15. Yes, but is there a swedish livery? :P
  16. i will point you to this reddit post. :-)
  17. Oh yea that's how it was. I guess the use of american components (like most of the engine) caused some problems. :P
  18. It will not. Modules bought on steam will work on standalone, but not the other way around. If you want it on steam you will need to wait until it is fully released and out of early access. Generally there is not reason not to use the standalone installer from the DCS website though.
  19. If she were to find out, it was nice getting to know you gentlemen! :helpsmilie:
  20. It was never exported because of strange internal swedish politics. :P (something about exporting weapons being bad, we ended up doing it anyways sooo...) XD
  21. Can confirm, did not tell wife. :P
  22. It's kind of strange to me that those two are considered different anyways. One would think that the flight model of all of the DCS modules would strive for the same quality level that ED does on their internal ones. :-)
  23. That probably wont be a problem with the Viggen since theres even openly released studies done by NASA on the aerodynamics of said aircraft. :-) https://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/19860019453.pdf
  24. Yes, it's important to make the point that that feat was done by the JA 37 interceptor variant, and would not be possible to achieve in the AJS 37 in any way. :P
  25. They said in the reddit AMA that the maps will come later.
