ticket 16086, I supposedly ran out of activations for my BS1 (even though I've only installed it twice since I bought it in 2008) so I bought another "copy" online and it's giving me the same serial as the first one. Turned this ticket in last Thursday, still no word on my (now) 2 copies of bs1, need it to use my BS2 upgrade.
Also, if you use "icontrol DCS" you can check the disable aero interface check box and you won't have the alt tab in and out issue. Seem like its a glitch between going from the menu and when it both loads the 3D environment and disables the aero interface.
I have a TM warthog, TrackIR 5, TM MFDs.
If you're interested send me a PM, all are less then a year old and work perfectly.
I'm in northern california, $120 for the trackIR 5, $60 for both MFD's, $400 for the TM warthog.
K, thx nate. Had not seen it mentioned before, the thing hits the thing, so no complaints on my part.
Rider, yea they must be testing that effect for DCS future fighters.
I was practicing my low level "lofting" attacks and noticed some strange behavior in the GBUs.
It's like they hit a wall and fly straight down. track included.
great run.trk
Yea, i'm sure. Was like $120 with free shipping, no tax and a 20 mail-in rebate.
(not the exact one but close, mine was a sata3)

I was reading somewhere that the air force strongly dislikes the CAS mission. I believe it was in a documentary about the initial deployment of the a-10.
I bought mine from tiger direct. They had a sale awhile back, I think I payed $100 for a 120gig SSD. Guess i'm not up up date on my memory prices. Still totally worth it IMO.
For the price difference, I'd get a SSD (or 2) i just converted about a month ago and it's been great. Night and day load times as well as general performance increase. As somebody said i'd go with a faster CPU,GPU or extra toys (warthog, mfds).
I'd say unless your doing heavy photo/audio/video editing then 16 gigs is overkill. I have 8 right now and nothing I run, including fsx, BMS, DCS uses even 50% of it. Although you could create a ram-disk and install DCS for uberfast load times.
Just wanted to add these guys have been a great help getting started online, very friendly and willing to help u learn. Have had a lot of fun flyin with them.
Diggy
I'd just like the option to expand the mfd windows beyond 500 pixels (or whatever) I only use the cdu function of icontrol dcs and display my right mfd over 90% of my 2nd 24" monitor, somat a max of 500 pixels it leaves a lot of screen space.
I think monitor/led tv standards have come a long way, I picked up a 3D 37 inch led tv at walmart for 400 bucks and it works great. The only thing I had to do is put the tv into game mode and it fixed any lag issues. Haven't had any issues with ghosting or blur or any of that.
