EWR and ECM

I presume your question is about DCS M-2000C, not the real aircraft, so here go: - BR switch to On => ECM is active. - BR switch to Off => ECM is not active. Simple as that ;) BR = Brouilleur => Jammer LL = Lance-Leurres => Decoys dispensers (chaff & flares) ++ Az'

Radar Azimuth?

OK let's do this again.
Setting (radar panel) | Azimuth coverage | Pilot adjustable? 60° | 120° total (±60° left/right) | No: these are the gimbal limits of the radar 30° | 60° total (±30° left/right) | Yes: by moving the TDC left/right the pilot changes the center of the 60° arc 15° | 30° total (±15° left/right) | Yes: by moving the TDC left/right the pilot changes the center of the 30° arc
Radar Azimuth?

Azimuth is a left/right term. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azimuth What you're refering to is the altitude or elevation setting. In the Mirage: - azimuth is "automatic", it depends on the TDC position and the scan width (60 = antenna scan all the way left/right, 30 & 15 = antenna scans 30 or 15° left/right of the TDC position). - elevation is set by the pilot, using a control on the front side of the throttle. And I confirm this is not yet implemented.
4. As the knob is not supposed to move the heading green bug, I would say 2.0.1 is better than 1.5.3 ;) Please don't "fix" the knob => it would only make it back to an incorrect feature.
5. Nice, but why the violet? Should be blue like the flag ;)
6. Your assumption is correct. As I said: 1/ AP selected route (indicated by the green heading bug on the HSI) resets to 12 o'clock each time you engage the AP (AP goes "green") 2/ it doesn't work at the moment (1.5.3) => bug waiting for fix.
7. To build up on Zeus'answer: to have an IFF frequency interrogation (like the real ones) would require that: - all players/clients aircraft have a way to set their own IFF answer (on/off, which mode, which code) - all AI aircraft have a way to do so too; automatically? how to set the coalition codes? how to avoid 2 aircraft selecting the same code? what if a player chooses the same code as an AI? ... etc. - a way to circumvent RL incompatibility is found and implemented; e.g. a real Su-27S has no IFF compatible for being interrogated by a Mirage (and vice-versa); what if the mission maker want both to work together as a coalition? In short: not easy, big feature to implement across DCS... Interesting, sure, but not "urgent" vs other things IMO. In the meantime, sticking with the current "coalition IFF" seems reasonnable. Diamond: positive IFF answer Nothing: no IFF answer ++ Az'
8. Forgot to tell : it doesn't work at the moment (1.5.3) => bug waiting for fix.
9. Yes there is a way (not yet implemented). In fact, it's only a matter of engaging the AP. No it doesn't involve the selector knob. Because this knob is not made to select a heading. Yes the Mirage is different on that aspect. ;) = = = = = = AP selected route (indicated by the green heading bug on the HSI): - resets to 12 o'clock each time you engage the AP (AP goes "green"). - then follows the AP logic - can be set by the pilot through the trim hat (left/right) HSI knob selector: - is used to tune the VAD feature of the HSI; this feature is not yet implemented; it is a way to set (and use) a temporary waypoint defined by an offset (bearing/distance) from a Tacan station. - is not used to set the heading bug (and has no relation to this bug whatsoever); yes, it may seem strange at first, but again: it's just another logic. ++ Az'
10. It does. IRL that is. I'm not sure it's very useful for Razbam to implement this: it's intended for maintenance, we don't do that in DCS.
11. Well, it doesn't do it that well. But it does. Yep. Green Yellow Red.
12. I think that Nealius was noting that so many acronyms meant the cockpit is not easily "readable" for the average french-speaking people either.
13. Yup, that's it. Interestingly, it is claimed by various sources that except for dedicated test flights, this switch has never been used (never needed) operationnaly; a tribute to the quality of the flight controls ;)

15. Guys, please don't start again. Debate was held, decision was made. It's on the forum, read it if you like :)

I'm away from home for a few weeks with slow or no internet, and no DCS. Alert network switch is indeed for QRA. It powers a specific electrical network from the GPU to keep the aircraft ready to start (in particular, INS)
17. I heard no hits (from the then COMALAT). My understanding is that this is not gonna happen.
18. Hi Quick semantic note: Do not forget the dash. Mirage 2000-5. Why important ? Because Mirage V or Mirage 5 existed too. It was an advanced variant of Mirage III, but nothing alike Mirage 2000-5. ;)

traduction

Bjr, to merge = fusionner. ++ Az'

Checklists

Hi, I confirm there is no caging of la boule (main ADI). It works with INS, not own gyros. The N/P switch is left on N (Normal) most of the time. The P (Pole) is only used in case of failure, when the instrument gives bad indications that disturb the pilot. P forces it to show only the black half-sphere (+ failure flag) => no more disturbing indications. OTOH: This is an error; your order was correct, the AP test is indeed done first (by request of the ground crew) then the FBW test.:poster_oops: ++ Az'
21. Yes. Only few people (of the flight sim community, suceptible to buy a beta module) need rudder and throttle from keyboard. Most simmers have a joystick and many a HOTAS. The issue you have was first noted because of rudder, that less people own.
22. ^ this! Also, as a preemptive precaution: The movie features mostly the 2000C, but a large bunch of "inside cockpit" shots show a 2000-5 cockpit. Don't ask Razbam to make the same mistake, please ;)
23. Nice. I've liked this low viz 2-FD for many years :) It should have white NE PAS MARCHER markings, though, not black ones.

Air refueling

If you want to fly realistically, 2 max. Wings or boom, not both at the same time.

Air refueling

Quite. We have 11 C-135FR with the boom (that can accomodate either a nozzle or a basket) + MPRS (i.e. wings pods with basket). And 3 KC-135FR only with the boom (that can accomodate either a nozzle or a basket). https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:KC135family.jpg
