  1. You looking for something clickable? It isn't. Wouldn(t be practical due to location "in front" of the stick.
  2. No. The map is a good help to understand. Draw the imaginary point you want to make as VAD on it. Now: From the TCN station of Kobuleti, in what direction do you go to arrive at this imaginary point? Will you get there if you depart Kobuleti on a 244° heading? I fear you won't. Remember: the VAD is drawn "from" the TACAN, because the TACAN beacon is the "only" valide reference point when you draw the VAD. Fast jet. Slow pilot (usually) (it's still the case for me sometimes and I'm not a beginner anymore since a long time). So yeah, 7NM seems a minimum in IMC. Don't be afraid to double that distance for starters. :) Regards, Az'
  3. Yes indeed, it's been implemented for quite some time actually :) No you didn't indeed. Yes this changed, I'm aware ;) But I understood you were answering to Martini about being "trimmed for takeoff"; so for this question, what happens once airborne is moot. ++ Az' PS: I fear no Walter.
  4. Uh uh :) We don't, BUT when eyes don't help, logic may: If he wasn't trimmed for takeoff, what would have occured? Oh, yeah, the big red DECOL warning. Any warning (amber or red) = take off forbidden. Would he have took off with the very same warning telling him precisely "don't; there is something wrong with your aircaft re: take off configuration"? (I like Occam's razor, BTW) I know you weren't asking me, but I may as well tell for the record that I don't (disagree with you). Not by principle anyway. And not here precisely, either. Absolutely. :) Hmmm no, it is the opposite of half the opposite (no, I don't sell brain pain-killer drugs, why do you ask? :D) AP is certainly not needed in (air) combat: at this time, the bloody thing is off! OTOH, trim certainly is needed/useful then, because of the reasons Martini wrote (I would just not agree on "minimal amount" ;)) FWIW, the (tiny) brain of a 2000C FBW doesn't really care: either it trims (in both pitch and roll), either it doesn't (in neither pitch nor roll). In this sense, it's relevant. Yaw is of course a bit jealous, but it's already managed by FBW (*) so... too bad for it! (*) unless serious failure condition. Regards; and cheers! Az'
  5. Just reading the beginning of the topic: Or refer to Flight Manual included in DCS: In current flight manual, see page 24 In future updated flight manual, see page 30 ++ Az'
  6. Nope. And it's correct IIRC ENTER is the classic A/A lock (and PID/PIC toggle once locked, so while we're here, ENTER again won't unlock, and it's also correct ;)) There is a distinct input on the M-2000C for A/G designation. :)
  7. Harder, yes, but not impossible. Simplest way for DCS, as we don't have coordinates for all parking stands: - align with default coordinates (which are never that far off in the sim) - taxi to a point for which you know coordinates (refer to maps, check holding points) - stop there; edit WPT 00 coordinates on the fly => good to go; resume taxi, and fly safe ;) BTW, that's also how it's done IRL when confronted to the same "problem" (unknown parking spot precise coords). ++ Az'
  8. Everyone got this. It's not only the flashlight, nor the 2000C. Global lighting system.
  9. For those not happy of "missing" the auto-trim: Basically, what on M-2000C is the AP (basic mode), is on an Airbus the "Normal law". Of course, many specifics do differ (one of the main being the need to "pause" the AP on the M-2000C to use the stick), protections aren't the same (not the topic here) but on the grand scheme that's how it compares. This also explains why (real) M-2000 pilots use this much the AP ;) ++ Az'

  11. I suggest to see if you've 8GB RAM what's it's usage (perfmon+DCS). You're probably toping it. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200822 No such issues here (i5 2500K, 16GB RAM, GTX1060 @ 6GB, 2560x1440 x1). ++ Az'
  12. +1 confirmed here, for M-2000C on either KC-130 or Il-78M.
  13. Good! Thanks for the feed-back. About atonium83, he's probably also using an "old" mission (or at least "old" payload: it's possible that preset payloads remain old I think). You may reset your preset payload by deleting the M-2000C.lua in \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\MissionEditor\UnitPayloads That won't change the prob if "embedded" in an old mission though... That's for the mission creator to check/change/release updated version. ++ Az'
  14. I get that but, to the best of my knowledge, none have URLs.
  15. Hum, if that's confirmed, possible the campain uses an "old" way of having external tanks and that mounting "new" tanks is required (i.e. re-do the payload).
  16. I do. Unless of course, alarm sound system is set to Off (which it should, on the ground once runway vacated and up to the next holding point). Yes. Sources in fact. Multiple, concordant & solid.

Hey Maverick Su-35S 1. Agreed; but how did you test on wing alone (DCS-wise)? When I test a DCS aircraft, I got the whole aircraft and am not able (AFAIK) to dismantle it to test independant parts individually. 2. Idem 1. 3. I confirm that I didn't. As I already said (not so much time, no expertise in your pet field); consider me a pure layman aerodynamism-wise (but a somehow skilled and/or knowledgeable operator of the finished product i.e. the fighter aircraft); regarding "sealed slats", you should tell Dassault guys. I'm sorry that the term doesn't exist in your "book" but surely by now (my previous posts + jojo's answer) you got the meaning of it? 4. That is the thing you obviously need to dig into; I won't follow (no maths et cetera...) but I hope you have fun! :) 5. I confirm (as I already said before) that I'm not an aerodynamism specialist, so you may say that "I don't get it" indeed :) Nevertheless, I stand on firm ground when I say so. Like it or not, believe it or not. And I'm still open to a constructive discussion :) Even if I don't get as much time for it (and flight tests) that I would like to. Cheers :) Az'
  18. Non.
++ Az'
  23. Well, it *does* work that way actually. Sorry about reality being sometimes weird and illogical ;)
