  1. 99% of chances that it's an input error, either on the initial position (00 before start) or in the active waypoint position. What was the range?
  2. Yes, that and the fact that the Master Arm shouldn't trigger CAN mode. On the contrary, this is very logical choice. Short range AA weapons (CAN & MAG): no time to fussle around the cockpit = get those mode available as "override" (any other mode) at the pilot's fingertips (on the thottle). Regarding MAG specifically, no real need to have two different controls to do the same thing = let's keep the more practical one. 530, MAV, POL and AG modes are "long term choices", so it's perfectly OK to select them through the PCA, taking your time. ++
  3. Are you sure? Cause I'm not. :smartass: Same question. Whatever DCS branch gets an update first (when the things are ready to be released for the 2000) will get the changes first. That's as simple as that, unless the fix is branch-related (e.g. brigthness in 2.1)
  4. Hi Why are we discussing this in Razbam's forum section?
  5. No.
  6. Hi No, the AP (ILS mode) is OK down to 200ft height, after that point you must take back manual control of the aircraft. Yes, it is higher, for everyone. No, it wouldn't be useful to try to make it lower. In fact IRL, passing "minima" in approach (200ft or more), the pilot gets the runway in sight, and poceeds "visual" from there. So he usually cancels the various ILS cues to declutter his HUD. This is done by an existing control, but the "ILS cues display cancelling" feature is not implemented to date. ++ Az'
  7. The digits are for modes 1 and 3. No use with mode 4. And you shouldn't be able to have a 9 figure. IFF use 0-7 for each digit.
  8. Hi, The one you described. A transponder and an interrogator. Because DCS doesn't emulates transponders. IFF queries are replied to depending on the coalition of the aircraft.
  9. The middle position isn't transmitted in MP.
  10. I can't remind this ever occuring to me. Do you have a track, by any chance?
  12. Better ones :) Fuel weight is given as the total, whatever tank it's in. So yes, 950kg implies empty external tanks. BTW, RPL522+CRP (tank+pylon) is 180kg, not 100. No. I meant what I wrote. :) ++ Az'

Guys, what about tuning it down a bit? ;)
  15. Depends on how you unselect the Magic. And linked to current (not-perfect) implementation., bound to change soon. I advise to learn "good habits" now, so that when it changes, you won't have to re-learn. Changes to come: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3097392#post3097392 ++ Az'
  16. Hmm I don't know where you read that, but it is not. Magic select PCA Select Guns (A/A) Select 3 controls to simulate a 3-position switch on the (real) throttle.

Self defense on 2000C : 2x Magic II 2x 125 gun shells This is more than the current dual seater dedicated strikers (2000N, 2000D) which don't have guns. In current situations, this "max" is not always carried. Examples: - Libya, max at start (A/A "high" risk) + dedicated escort - Sahel, 1x Magic II at first, then none. - Iraq/Syria, 1x Magic II (2000) or 1x MICA IR (Rafale) 530D isn't a self-defense weapon. It's a fighter/interceptor weapon.
  18. You should not have to use F1 or H. Are you sure you don't have Easy comms On? (given what you said on the 140 thing...)
  19. Agreed, Ramsay. The localizer HUD line should be attached to Runway position (not to the synthetic runway itself, because you may have the line displayed without the synthetic runway, IIRC - will check). What's needed to display correctly the loc line: - Current Wpt (should be the runway position) - CP parameter (runway heading); As you may know, CP (and PD) parameters of the INS are not active at the moment (but the runway heading can be known if there is a "landing" waypoint set in the ME). - Aircraft current position & heading, of course. Perhaps an update should look at that too (or first), to be able to display correctly the Loc line.
  20. Indeed. With full A/A payload (2x 530s; 2x Magic IIs; 1x Fuselage ext. tank), you should land with 950kg of fuel to be at normal MLW. Or 3350kg to be at overrated MLW (which requires specific precautions to be taken, e.g. descent rate, parachute use...) If you just toped, you're too heavy. 3160 internal + 990 center tank, let's say you burnt 250kg from the tanker to the RWY = 3900kg.
  21. More IIRC. You may check in the sim's files.
  22. I'm not aware of a default desert skin with French markings. I may be wrong but... Isn't that a mod? If so, probably it needs upgrading.
  23. Jumper : Wrong guess about RCS, BTW (in DCS at least) Matator : jojo gave Mach numbers...
  24. IRL the aircraft can handle only one type of AtG ordinance (+guns) for a given flight, due to computer limitation. You also must choose between AtA (with 530s) or AtG configurations. DCS may be less strict, but if you don't abide by the rule, problems may arise. Best advice: unload the 82s, try again. And as you already know, don't forget the EXT/INT feature on the PCA. Regards, Az'
